Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney Introduce
For local residents of Northumberland, Pennsylvania, and those searching within the 'rv parks near me' category for a destination that combines RV camping with resort-style amenities and lakeside recreation, Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney presents an intriguing option. Located at 213 Aspen Ln in Northumberland, PA, this resort boasts a picturesque lakeside setting and a variety of activities, particularly appealing to families with children. While overwhelmingly positive, some customer reviews indicate areas for potential improvement, specifically regarding cabin cleanliness and responsiveness to maintenance requests. The provided phone numbers, (412) 730-2170 and +1 412-730-2170, offer a direct way for local users to inquire about availability, specific amenities, and address any concerns they might have based on the feedback.
The environment of Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney is clearly a major highlight, with multiple reviewers praising its lakeside location. The resort offers "lakeside" cabins, providing guests with potentially stunning water views and direct access to the lake. This setting creates opportunities for various water-based activities such as fishing, as mentioned by one reviewer who noted "great fishing," and simply enjoying the tranquility of the waterfront. The presence of a lake also enhances the overall ambiance, offering a scenic backdrop for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. The resort's layout likely maximizes the lake views from many of its campsites and rental accommodations, contributing to a desirable vacation atmosphere. The natural surroundings of Northumberland County, PA, with its rolling hills and waterways, further enhance the appeal of this location for those seeking a getaway in a scenic environment.
A significant feature of Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney, as indicated by customer reviews, is the abundance of activities, especially geared towards children. One reviewer specifically mentioned, "A lot of activities for kids to do," suggesting that the resort is designed to be family-friendly and provide ample entertainment for younger guests. The highlight for many appears to be the water park amenities, with reviewers exclaiming that the "Pool and waterslides were awesome!" This suggests that the resort boasts significant water-based recreational facilities, making it a potentially ideal destination for families looking to enjoy swimming and water park fun without having to leave the resort. The combination of a lakeside setting and on-site water park features creates a unique and attractive offering within the 'rv parks near me' category.
In addition to RV sites, Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney also offers cabin rentals, as mentioned in the reviews. These "log cabins" are described as "nice" and also benefit from the "great view of the lake," providing an alternative accommodation option for those who prefer not to camp in an RV or tent. The availability of cabins expands the resort's appeal to a broader range of travelers, offering a more comfortable and potentially more spacious lodging option. However, one reviewer did note a significant issue with the cleanliness of their cabin upon arrival, detailing problems such as "Garbage overflowing from the garbage cans, bathroom had not been cleaned and blood smears on the plastic cover of the loft bed." This is a serious concern that potential guests should be aware of and perhaps address when making inquiries or reservations.
The reviews also provide some insight into the service at Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney. One reviewer found the "office management was fantastic," indicating positive interactions with the administrative staff. Another reviewer echoed this sentiment, describing their overall experience as "Great place to camp." However, the detailed account of the dirty cabin raises concerns about the housekeeping services. The reviewer also mentioned that when they complained about a dirty sheet cover, the office apologized and called housekeeping, but "no one ever came to replace it." This lack of follow-through is another point that potential guests might want to consider. Additionally, the same reviewer noted that the "Cable was also out," suggesting potential issues with some of the provided amenities.
Despite these issues, the positive aspects highlighted in other reviews, such as the beautiful lakeside location, the fun water park facilities, and the availability of cabins, suggest that Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney has much to offer. For local users with families looking for a vacation spot with built-in entertainment for kids, the water park could be a significant draw. The lakeside setting provides opportunities for relaxation and water activities, catering to a variety of interests. The availability of both RV sites and cabin rentals offers flexibility in accommodation choices.
To make an informed decision, local users should contact Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney directly using the provided phone numbers: (412) 730-2170 or +1 412-730-2170. When inquiring, it would be prudent to ask about their current cleaning protocols for cabins and their responsiveness to maintenance requests. Potential guests might also want to inquire about the specific amenities available at the RV sites (e.g., hookups, size), as well as any other recreational facilities offered by the resort. Asking about any promotional offers, especially for local residents or for specific times of the year, could also be beneficial.
In conclusion, Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney near Northumberland, PA, presents a compelling option within the 'rv parks near me' category, particularly for families seeking a lakeside getaway with water park amenities and activities for children. The availability of both RV sites and cabin rentals provides flexibility for different types of travelers. Apr 28, 2025 · Emily AnnGreat place to camp. A lot of activities for kids to do. Pool and waterslides were awesome! Our log cabin was nice and we had a great view of the lake. However, the cabin was dirty. Garbage overflowing from the garbage cans, bathroom had not been cleaned and blood smears on the plastic cover of the loft bed. When we complained about the sheet cover to the office, they apologized and called housekeeping but no one ever came to replace it. Cable was also out. 😬
Sep 03, 2024 · Heather KivlerI have always loved splash magic. We stayed in LS sites this time and they are definitely squeezed in, plus we constantly had people fishing behind our camper and our dogs would bark. I also prefer the old slides versus the new slides. The new slides take away half of the one pool. Plus you have to pay for them. I feel the slides should always be free. The mini golf is pretty cool, and so are the bumper boats. The golf cart prices were a bit high as well to rent, so we did not rent. A lot of young kids driving golf carts. With all that being said I would come back to splash. Wish the prices weren’t so high! Still had a memorable weekend!
May 27, 2024 · Gary ReedThe marketing professional should be commended as the campground description and photos do not match the site. Where do I start. We almost missed the turn because the only sign is right at the street entrance which has a car lot on the main road. The first thing we noticed was the long wait in the to get registered at the front desk as campers lined up at the entrance. The website advertises the campground as having a “waterpark” but yet it only had one set up with three tubes that weren’t even the same as their website photo. A lot of campgrounds have these and don’t call them water parks. Not only does the “water park” (and every other activity cost $5/day each or $15/day for everything-including the jump pillow, playground and 1 hour bike rentals) but there was barely any water coming out of the tubes and I could hear my kids skin screeching on their way down to the point they didn’t go back on them. The Food Court wasn’t open the entire time and what was considered the bar served a few canned beers with snack bags. The group float boats were not available due to needed parts. Golf cart rentals were $80/day so that’s insane. Mini golf was okay but the course isn’t maintained with rocks all over the course weeds growing all over. Glow in the dark/black light at night golf is a great idea but they need glow in the dark balls so you can actually see them. Our kids were yelled at by staff for “speeding over 5mph” on bikes but yet campground staff flew around on their golf carts so fast that they almost ran into my truck rounding a corner. They were told to get out of the hot tub (which did say adults only) but yet younger kids were allowed to stay in with their parents that day and when my wife and I went by another day. I spoke to the staff and was told kids were not allowed in at all. I’m good with rules but they need to be consistent for all. Speaking of, the staff was not friendly or welcoming as most appeared miserable (security guys delivering firewood at night were pretty awesome) and had no intention on helping or talking to us or our other friends. We got the cold shoulder, dirty looks, and attitudes from staff and seasonal/full time residents throughout the week. We booked a buddy site with our friends but the sewer was not set up as a buddy site so that was a pain for our friends. I think they have a good idea for the campground set up and could make a lot more money here but they need a manager to bring things to life. Nothing is maintained or inviting. If we could have gotten a refund we would have left on day 2. I may be complaining a bit here but I expect things when 1) I pay a certain amount of money and 2) a place advertises and doesn’t deliver. So much potential here but need the right people leading the campground.
Aug 27, 2024 · Ryan QuackenbushWe had our own camper. The staff was very nice. The grounds were kept up very well. We were in spot Y20 which was ok except they're is a stump there where we have to back up the camper and it's on a slant so it made it a little difficult. I'll just not pick that spot next time. Bathrooms& showers were clean but could use some updates or things added to make it easier when taking a shower. Other then that everything was great and looking forward to go back next year.
