Sugar Mill North Mobile Home Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the St. Cloud, Florida area, Sugar Mill North Mobile Home Park, located at 78 Nesting Loop, presents a situation that warrants careful consideration based on recent feedback from its residents. Understanding the current state of a community and the experiences of its residents is crucial when evaluating potential long-term or even extended-stay options within the category of RV parks.
Recent reviews from residents of Sugar Mill North Mobile Home Park paint a concerning picture regarding the functionality of key amenities and the management's response to these issues. One resident strongly advises potential newcomers to "not waste your time" and asserts that they "do not want to live here!" This stark warning is based on experiences since the park was acquired by new management. According to this review, significant amenities such as the community pool and the entrance gate are currently non-functional. The pool has reportedly been out of service for an extended period, stated as a year, while the gate is also not working.
Adding to the concern, this resident points out that the only currently functioning amenity is an "old small Jungle Gym area for small children." Despite the lack of a working pool and gate, residents are apparently still paying for these amenities through their lot rents. The management's stance on the non-operational pool is particularly troubling to this resident, who claims that the management finds it "acceptable to have a pool closed for a year and we're still paying for it!" Furthermore, residents who wish to access a functional pool for themselves or their children are allegedly required to pay additional fees at facilities like the YMCA, effectively incurring a double cost for pool access.
The financial aspect is further exacerbated by the fact that, according to this review, "none of our lot rents or anything went down even though they've taken away our amenities." This suggests that residents are bearing the financial burden of non-functional facilities without any corresponding reduction in their living expenses. The situation is described as having persisted since the park was purchased by the new management.
A particularly frustrating point for residents is the comparison with a neighboring "sister Park" that reportedly has "beautiful amenities that they are able to use," while residents of Sugar Mill North are allegedly denied access to these facilities. This disparity between the two parks under potentially the same overarching ownership (though not explicitly stated) adds to the sense of unfairness expressed by the residents.
The overall sentiment of this review is one of significant dissatisfaction, with the resident concluding by stating, "It cost way too much to live here, run." This strong recommendation to avoid the park should be taken seriously by anyone considering Sugar Mill North as a potential RV park or mobile home community.
Another resident echoes these concerns in even stronger terms, labeling the park's management as "Scammers!!" and explicitly advising, "Don't move here!!" This resident corroborates the information about the non-functional amenities, stating that there has been "NO POOL FOR MONTHS! NO GATE FOR OVER 3 YEARS!" Despite the prolonged period of disrepair for the gate, which physically exists but does not function, the owner's alleged response is to "blame the previous owners FROM THREE YEARS AGO and to keep 'trying' to 'fix' it instead of replacing it with a working version that we PAY for!"
This reviewer also emphasizes the lack of any compensatory measures from the management, stating that they have "not decreased our lit rent or made arrangements for residents to use a pool." Instead, residents are forced to "pay more money to someone like a ymca, so we pay TWICE just to have pool access." This reinforces the earlier claim of residents paying for amenities they cannot use and incurring additional costs to access similar facilities elsewhere.
The timeline of these issues is significant, with this resident stating that this situation "has been going on for 3 years," indicating a long-standing problem that predates the one-year closure of the pool mentioned by the other reviewer. This suggests a pattern of neglect or mismanagement regarding essential community amenities.
This second reviewer also notes a significant exodus of residents since the new ownership, stating, "Please see that everyone has been moving out since the new owners." They also point out that while the park may appear nice, this is primarily due to the efforts of the residents themselves in maintaining their individual yards ("it looks nice here because WE take care of our yards, NOT managment!!"). This implies a lack of upkeep or investment in the common areas and amenities by the management.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in St. Cloud, FL, the information available regarding Sugar Mill North Mobile Home Park raises serious red flags. The consistent complaints about non-functional essential amenities like the pool and gate, the lack of management response in terms of repairs or rent adjustments, and the apparent dissatisfaction of current residents should be carefully considered.
While the park's location in St. Cloud might be convenient, and individual lots may be maintained by residents, the lack of functional community amenities – which are typically a significant draw for those choosing to live in a mobile home or RV park setting – appears to be a major drawback at Sugar Mill North. The fact that residents feel compelled to pay for these amenities without being able to use them, and then incur additional costs to access similar services elsewhere, suggests a problematic situation.
Prospective residents should be extremely cautious and are strongly advised to seek alternative "RV parks near me" in the St. Cloud area that have a more positive track record of amenity maintenance and management responsiveness. If considering Sugar Mill North, it would be essential to conduct thorough due diligence, including visiting the park in person, attempting to speak with current residents (beyond those who have posted online reviews), and directly and explicitly addressing the issues raised in these reviews with the management. Any assurances should be carefully scrutinized and, if possible, verified.
In conclusion, the available information regarding Sugar Mill North Mobile Home Park in St. Cloud, FL, paints a concerning picture of non-functional amenities, a lack of management response, and significant resident dissatisfaction. For those searching for "RV parks near me," it would be prudent to proceed with extreme caution and prioritize communities with more positive and reliable feedback regarding their amenities and management practices. The strong warnings from current residents should not be ignored.

Sugar Mill North Mobile Home Park Reviews
Do not waste your time you do not want to live here! Since being bought out by New Management we have a pool that does not work and a gate that does not work as well for our community. Our only amenity currently is a old small Jungle Gym area for small children. Management thinks it's acceptable to have a pool closed for a year and we're still paying for it!, however we also have to pay if we want to take our children to an actual pool at the YMCA. None of our lot rents or anything went down even though they've taken away our amenities. This has been going on since we were purchased as a park. Our sister Park next door has beautiful amenities that they are able to use and we are not. It cost way too much to live here, run.
Sep 03, 2021 · Catch22Scammers!! Don't move here!! We moved in and pay on time just so we don't have our amenities!! NO POOL FOR MONTHS! NO GATE FOR OVER 3 YEARS! it's there it just doesn't work. The owner's response is to blame the previous owners FROM THREE YEARS AGO and to keep trying"fix" it instead of replacing it with a working version that we PAY for! Management has not decreased our lit rent or made arrangements for residents to use a pool, we must pay more money to someone like a ymca, so we pay TWICE just to have pool access. This has been going on for 3 years. RUN!! Please see that everyone has been moving out since the new owners, most residents are new and it looks nice here because WE take care of our yards,NOT managment!!
Sep 03, 2021 · Jeanette EmanuelUnless you live here you won’t know how rude management is, and how they lie to new customers promising amenities that we don’t have. We have a gate that haven’t work in the last four and a have years and it’s always open but the manager will swear that it works and that is closed at night.Don’t let them full you. We have uneven road with holes similar to sink holes on the road, but again management thinks it’s ok to have roads like that. A lot of unhappy residents in the community.
