Sunset Village Introduce
Sunset Village, located at 530 Robins Rd #1314, Hiawatha, IA 52233, is a manufactured home community that falls under the broader category of "RV Parks Near Me" due to its focus on mobile and manufactured living. While the "RV Parks Near Me" designation might suggest short-term recreational vehicle stays, Sunset Village is primarily a community for long-term residents in manufactured homes. The park aims to provide a family-friendly atmosphere with a sense of local camaraderie, blending suburban tranquility with convenient access to urban amenities.
The environment at Sunset Village is often described as a "slice of small-town living." Reviews indicate that when at its best, it is a nice, clean, and quiet little park where residents take pride in their yards and watch out for their elderly neighbors, fostering a quintessential small-town Iowa feel. Sidewalks are present, and traffic is generally minimal, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere for walks and outdoor activities. The community is also noted as being pet-friendly, with dog owners generally responsible about cleaning up after their pets and regularly walking them in the neighborhood.
However, recent customer reviews highlight some areas where the environment has seen changes. Concerns have been raised regarding a decline in maintenance and management responsiveness. Issues such as faulty lights, clogged pipes, and leveling problems with homes have been reported as going unaddressed despite multiple requests. Additionally, complaints about the unjust splitting of water bills, off-leash dogs, and loud music at night suggest that a previously clean and well-managed environment has faced some challenges in maintaining its standards. The sentiment among some residents is that while the community has the potential to be truly nice, a renewed effort from management to address these issues is needed.
In terms of services and features, Sunset Village offers manufactured homes for sale, including new, used, and pre-owned options. Sunset Village Reviews
Used to be a great park to live in, lately not so much. Management has become difficult to reach, does not address maintenance issues at all (have had faulty lights and clogged pipes since November, have had leveling issues that causing doors to not secure properly since the derecho, have submitted maintenance request multiple times, and issues continues to be ignored), all while lot rents continue to be increased. Unjust splitting of the water bills, people who let their dogs out with leashes, and tenants who'll play loud music at night are issues that go unaddressed. This was a nice clean little park when I moved in, great maintenance, quick response to issues, and management onsite that meet and visited with tenants. Now they are offsite, hard to reach, and rarely return calls. If they just made some effort and fixed maintenance issues, it could be a really nice park again.

Apr 17, 2025 · keith pierceI like all the trees around. Management keeps raising the lot rent prices, but not making the "improvements" they claim in the replies, and I pay almost $100/ month for water and trash. This was a great place when I moved in, on site manager and issues were addressed in a timely manner. Now you can rarely reach anyone at the office located in another of their parks in Marion and plenty of people have dogs that are "not allowed". This park could be really nice if they put any money back into it, but the owners live in CA so it does not affect them.
