Sunshine Mobile Home Park Introduce
While the platform category is "RV parks near me," this introduction focuses on Sunshine Mobile Home Park, situated at 2869 FL-11 in DeLand, Florida. Mobile home parks primarily serve individuals seeking long-term residency in manufactured homes, although some might occasionally accommodate RVs for extended stays. For local users exploring housing options that may appear under a broad search for "RV parks near me," particularly if they are considering a more permanent or semi-permanent lifestyle in a mobile home setting, Sunshine Mobile Home Park is a community to consider, based on the available, albeit somewhat conflicting, information.
The provided details for Sunshine Mobile Home Park include its name, address, and contact phone numbers: (386) 320-8018 and +1 386-320-8018. The two customer reviews offer contrasting views on the community, highlighting changes in management and policies over time, as well as raising concerns about property conditions in at least one instance.
The first review provides a historical perspective, indicating that Sunshine Mobile Home Park was once considered a "quiet all age Park" with a significant advantage of low lot rent, reported at $475. At that time, trailer prices in the park were in the range of $25,000 to $40,000. The reviewer also noted the park was "Very clean and well-managed." A specific drawback mentioned was the "no dogs allowed" policy, although the reviewer humorously acknowledged that this made walking on the grass easier. However, the review includes an important update: "now the lot rent is 795....new owners came in...allows dogs...still a decent place to live...but not as good as it was." This update signifies a change in ownership and key policies, including a substantial increase in lot rent and a shift to allowing dogs. The reviewer's sentiment suggests that while the park is still acceptable, it has declined in quality or value compared to its previous state under different management.
The second review presents a much more negative experience. The reviewer describes the trailer they were in as "the most run down trailer ive ever been in." More concerning are the serious maintenance issues reported, including a "Sewage line backed up all the time not a concern to fix right away." This indicates a potentially significant problem with the park's infrastructure and a lack of timely response from management regarding essential repairs. The reviewer also mentions issues within their rented trailer, specifically a non-functional AC unit and a "big time flea infestation," which the "owner of the trailer refused to fix." The fact that their dogs continued to suffer from the flea infestation highlights the severity of this issue. The reviewer concludes with a strong regret about coming to this location.
Given these two reviews, the environment and services at Sunshine Mobile Home Park appear to have undergone changes, and the current conditions are subject to differing opinions. The first review suggests that under previous management, the park was clean, well-managed, and quiet, albeit with a no-dog policy and low lot rent. The change in ownership has led to a higher lot rent, the allowance of dogs, and a perceived decline in overall quality in the eyes of this reviewer.
The second review paints a picture of poorly maintained properties and inadequate response to serious infrastructure issues like sewage backups. The problems within the rented trailer, while potentially the responsibility of the trailer's owner rather than the park management, still reflect on the overall quality of housing available within the community. The flea infestation could also indicate broader pest control issues within the park or a lack of enforcement of maintenance standards for individual units.
Features of Sunshine Mobile Home Park are not explicitly detailed in the reviews. The first review mentions it being an "all age Park," which implies that it is not restricted to residents of a certain age group, such as a retirement community. The allowance of dogs under the new ownership is another notable feature, appealing to pet owners who might have previously been excluded. However, beyond these points, information on amenities such as laundry facilities, community areas, or recreational spaces is absent.
There is no promotional information provided in the reviews. Details about current lot rental rates (beyond the mentioned increase to $795), trailer sales, or any incentives for new residents are not available. Local users interested in residency at Sunshine Mobile Home Park would need to contact the management directly to inquire about current pricing, availability, and any special offers.
DeLand, Florida, the location of Sunshine Mobile Home Park, is a city in Volusia County, known for its historic charm, Stetson University, and proximity to natural attractions like Blue Spring State Park. The area offers a mix of residential and commercial areas, and the specific location of the mobile home park on FL-11 would determine its proximity to local amenities and attractions.
In conclusion, Sunshine Mobile Home Park in DeLand, Florida, presents a mixed picture based on the limited reviews available. While it was once regarded as a quiet, clean, and well-managed all-age park with low lot rent and a no-dog policy, new ownership has brought changes, including higher lot rent and the allowance of dogs, with at least one long-term observer feeling the overall quality has diminished. A separate review raises serious concerns about the condition of at least one trailer within the park and the responsiveness to maintenance issues like sewage backups and pest infestations. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might be considering long-term mobile home living, Sunshine Mobile Home Park warrants careful consideration and further investigation. Prospective residents should contact the management directly to inquire about current conditions, policies, and available units, and perhaps seek additional feedback from current residents to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the community.

Sunshine Mobile Home Park Reviews
If you're looking for a quiet all age Park you found it trailer sell between 25 and 40k with an incredibly low lot rent of $475. Very clean and well-managed. Only drawback no dogs allowed but it does making walking in the grass a lot easier:-)..now the lot rent is 795....new owners came in...allows dogs...still a decent place to live...but not as good as it was
Aug 06, 2023 · Jay KayThe most run down trailer ive ever been in. Sewage line backed up all the time not a concern to fix right away...the owner of the trailer refused to fix the ac unit and also a big time flea infestation. My dogs are still suffering. Highly regret coming here.
Sep 27, 2022 · Shannon GantertI lived there my entire life. I went from a 2bd to a 3bd after I turned 14 and it was a nice place to live at the time. When my mother passed away and my grandmother had gone to a nursing home, my sister and I were terribly mistreated by the managers (S & P). After my sister moved away, I was forced to get roommates in a hurry and my girlfriend moved in as well. The managers only got worse. The man was sexist and pretty much ignored myself and my girlfriend while the woman just didn't care. I'm disabled and she told me to walk down to the office like every other tenant. The office has no phone. So I often messaged her through Facebook since I couldn't go to the office or even call them. She was always very rude to me and often twisted her words. We also had a problem with getting things repaired. Which leads to why my girlfriend and I were evicted. The woman manager told me that I was no longer allowed to contact the owner myself but as I never trusted her I decided to text him with the long list of things that were going on in the trailer. He texted me back and said that I had to get out by the first of the next month because he had sold the trailer (which I should have been notified that it was for sale but this is the first I heard of it). Because I wanted a livable home. He and his managers had been rude to me and my girlfriend for way too long so we didn't fight it. But I honestly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.Edit: I would also like to add, after a couple of years not living there, the female manager contacted me via Facebook messager and told me to 'take my trash review down'.And Scott Burt and Robert Andrecheck, two of the 'reviewers', are the manager and owner of the park. Reviewing their own park to boost its rating is kind of skeezy if you ask me.
Apr 20, 2021 · Jayne AnnI lived here up until 2012 and it was okay for $425 and no lot rent. Now? You have to BUY and lot rent is like $650 with squat included!!! It has really gone downhill.
Jul 09, 2023 · darlene lapoliceIf I could give a negative I would the manager who resides there is very unproffesional and inappropriate with the females. When my significant other was not at home. Then Mr inappropriate... Was lurking I would not give him the attention that he was seeking... He proceeded to evict my other half. He wou not accept the rent twice before he even filed the paperwork through the courts the were filed . And the documentation that he filed was after the two attempte to pay rent because I would not give him the pleasure of my attention. Females be aware . Men be cautious with the man you may get evicted as well.
