This suggests a more varied and interesting landscape compared to typical flat mobile home parks. The spaciousness between homes is also noted as a significant positive, with "plenty of room between houses" and "lots of open space making seem like big backyards." This contributes to a sense of privacy and a less crowded feel within the community.
A key feature of Hidden Hills MHC is its community center, which appears to be a hub of social activity and offers various amenities for residents. From a financial perspective, one long-term resident found the "houses and lot rent are very reasonable," stating it was the "best deal I found" after looking extensively along the east coast of Florida, as far south as Melbourne. This suggests that Hidden Hills MHC offers competitive pricing, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious seniors.

The presence of local wildlife, such as "lots of squirrels 🐿 and some resident cranes," adds to the natural and peaceful ambiance of the community.
Regarding management, one resident who had been there under previous management reported "no problems" with the new manager and the same owning company, stating, "So it’s looking great." This suggests a positive transition in management and a continued commitment to maintaining a good living environment for the residents.
Another reviewer corroborates the positive aspects, describing Hidden Hills MHC as a "Nice, quiet, clean community." This reinforces the earlier comments about the peaceful atmosphere and well-maintained environment. While this reviewer notes that there are "Not a whole lot of amenities offered for the residents," they do acknowledge the presence of a "club house & a pool." The fact that the pool is closed in winter due to being unheated is mentioned as a limitation.
In summary, Hidden Hills MHC in DeLand, Florida, offers a peaceful and welcoming 55+ community with a strong emphasis on its natural setting, spacious lots, and friendly atmosphere. The presence of a community center with various social and recreational amenities, along with a swimming pool (though unheated in winter), provides opportunities for engagement and leisure. Dec 16, 2019 · C CapatanNice, quiet, clean community. Not a whole lot of amenities offered for the residents. They do have a club house & a pool. Pool is closed in winter, as it's not heated. 55+ community.

May 05, 2025 · Helen LositoWhen I moved to Deland, I looked at several manufactured home parks for '55 and over'. I found Hidden Hills to be the perfect spot for us. The people are warm and friendly and there's a variety of activities to get involved in from dinners, bingo, golf cart parades, yoga, water exercises, horseshoes, lunch out and book clubs just to mention some of the activities. The beautiful pool is the perfect spot to cool off on a hot summer day or just sit and relax and watch others!
Feb 01, 2024 · Lynda A UptonWhat I like about this community are the many trees and crazy hills. My neighbors are very friendly and very kind. When a neighbor is in need you can be sure that your neighbors are there in one way or another. The event coordinator always plans fun activities. Often there is an event offering breakfast or dinners for certain occasions. Usually a small fee is charged.Oh don't forget the annual rummage sale held in the club house. Many of my neighbors stay very involved with club activity's and lunch bunches.Break out the bikes and challenge the hills.
