Log Cabin Resort Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" in the Inchelium, Washington area, potentially offering cabin rentals and access to nature? Log Cabin Resort, located at 178 Twin Lakes Rd, Inchelium, WA 99138, USA, has a history of providing a family-oriented experience in a seemingly picturesque setting. With a phone number of (509) 722-3543 or +1 509-722-3543, the resort appears to offer opportunities for wildlife viewing and fishing on Twin Lakes. However, recent customer feedback presents a stark contrast to long-term positive experiences, indicating significant issues that potential visitors should be aware of.
The environment surrounding Log Cabin Resort has been described by a long-time visitor as peaceful and rich in wildlife. Over four decades, their family has reportedly enjoyed sightings of deer, beaver, eagles, hawks, and occasionally bears and woodchucks. The lakes are also noted to be home to turtles, geese, Canadian Loons, the occasional moose, and raccoons. Fishing is mentioned as consistently rewarding, with a recommendation to consult with the staff for the best gear and times. This description paints a picture of a natural haven, ideal for those seeking "camping near me" with opportunities for observing local fauna and engaging in fishing.
However, more recent reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the services and features, particularly concerning the condition of the cabins and the quality of customer service. One reviewer, while acknowledging the "great location," went so far as to rate the resort as "barely a 1 star resort." This significant discrepancy in feedback suggests a potential decline in the resort's standards or a disparity between newer and older accommodations.
A major point of concern raised by another reviewer is "very poor customer service" and "misleading" pictures. They reported renting four cabins, all described as old, and each suffering from "severe water damage issues" and visibly growing "BLACK MOLD." This poses serious health risks and indicates a significant lack of maintenance. The reviewer further detailed alarming conditions such as shower surrounds made of plywood and holes in the cabins plugged with tissue paper. They concluded that these cabins were "unlivable" and that extended stays would likely cause health and respiratory problems.
The negative experience of this reviewer extended to their attempt to check out early due to the unacceptable condition of the cabin. Despite deeming the cabin unlivable and declining an offer for a future stay in a "new" cabin, they reported being charged the full amount for a four-night stay, which they are currently disputing. This account raises serious questions about the resort's customer service practices and their handling of legitimate complaints regarding unsafe living conditions.
In contrast to these severe criticisms, the long-term visitor's feedback suggests that the resort may have once offered a much higher standard of experience. The mention of consulting with staff for fishing advice implies that there was a time when the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The peaceful setting and the variety of wildlife mentioned also remain potentially attractive features for those seeking a nature-oriented "camping near me" option.
Given the significant and alarming negative feedback regarding the condition of the cabins and customer service, it is extremely important for potential visitors to exercise extreme caution and to thoroughly investigate the current state of Log Cabin Resort before making any bookings. Contacting the resort directly at (509) 722-3543 or +1 509-722-3543 is crucial, but it would also be wise to seek out more recent reviews from various sources to get a broader understanding of the current conditions.
When contacting Log Cabin Resort, potential visitors should specifically inquire about:
- The age and condition of the specific cabin or accommodation they are considering.
- Whether all cabins have been renovated or if older, potentially problematic cabins are still being rented.
- Details about the "new" cabins mentioned in the negative review, including their availability and pricing.
- The resort's policy on refunds or changes to bookings if accommodations are found to be unsatisfactory upon arrival.
- Current practices regarding maintenance, water damage, and mold remediation in their cabins.
- The level of customer service currently provided and how they handle guest complaints or concerns.
Due to the severity of the issues raised in the recent negative review, potential campers might also consider looking for alternative "camping near me" options in the Inchelium, WA area to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews do not mention any current specials or discounts. Given the serious concerns raised, it would be prudent to be wary of any promotions that might downplay the potential issues with the accommodations. Any promotional material should be carefully scrutinized and compared with recent, unbiased reviews from multiple sources.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Log Cabin Resort presents a complex picture. While the natural environment with its wildlife and lake access may still hold appeal, the significant concerns regarding the condition of at least some of the cabins, particularly the presence of mold and water damage, and reports of poor customer service cannot be ignored. The discrepancy between long-term positive experiences and recent negative ones suggests a potential decline in the resort's standards that needs to be carefully considered.
In conclusion, while Log Cabin Resort in Inchelium, WA, may be situated in a beautiful area with opportunities for wildlife viewing and fishing, recent feedback indicates potentially severe issues with the condition of some of its cabins, including water damage and mold, as well as concerns about customer service. Local users searching for "camping near me" should proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough research beyond the information provided, and directly inquire about the current state of the accommodations before making any reservations. It may be advisable to explore other camping options in the area to ensure a safe and healthy camping experience.

Log Cabin Resort Reviews
Our family has been enjoying Log Cabin Resort for over 40 years. We typically see deer, beaver, eagles, hawks, occasionally bears, and this last summer a woodchuck. The lakes also have turtles, geese, Canadian Loons, an occasional moose, racoons, and more. Fishing never disappoints and it is always best to check in with the staff to see what gear and times are best. The setting is very peaceful and we always hate to leave. Four generations have had great experiences .....so far!
Jan 01, 2024 · Anthony HGreat location, but this is barely a 1 star resortVery poor customer service. Pictures are misleading as well. Only 2 cabins are brand new. Out of the 4 cabins we rented, all old,Each one and severe water damage issues. BLACK MOLD visibly growing. The shower surround was plywood. Holes in the cabin plugged with tissue paper. These cabins are unlivable, and extended stays will definitely cause you health and respiratory issues.Pre paid 150 for 1 night with 450 total on hold. Deemed cabin unlivable and went to reception to check out. They offered a future stay in their "new" cabin. Declined. Asked for the remainder not to be charged as we were checking out due to health risks. They charged the full 450 for the 4 night stay currently disputing this charge.
Jul 30, 2024 · James MorrisonWe have been going to the lake for forty years now. We hadn't been there for several years due to family reasons. Went back last year. Made reservations for this year. Both times we were greeted by Patrick at the time I didn't realize I had known him as a baby. He was all smiles and still is. The new owners are amazing and working hard to get the camp updated. We stayed in our campers and had a great time and made many new friends and found some old friends. See you next year and hopefully many more.
Aug 14, 2023 · Jack HoffnanMy family has been visiting Log Cabin Resort since before I was born and we've only missed three yearly trips in my 27 years of life. The resort and Twin Lakes are my favorite vacation spot, so beautiful, peaceful and a nice way to disconnect from the real world for a while. Some of my greatest childhood memories happened there and as an expecting mother, I cannot wait for my son to love the resort and make memories as I have through the years. The staff is friendly, they have a great little store for necessities and a delicious restaurant. I highly recommend planning a trip, you won't regret it!
May 25, 2022 · Ashley BarnesBreakfast at the restaurant is a great start of a day. Early spring, as soon as ice clears, is phenomenal fishing. Big trout practically jump in the boat. Largemouth bass fishing is great! Fish the reeds on either lake with spinnerbaits. Skip the canal, you'll catch fish but not much size.
