Rainbow Beach Resort Introduce
Are you a local resident seeking a lakeside "camping near me" experience that offers more than just a tent site? Rainbow Beach Resort, located at 18 N Twin Lakes Rd, Inchelium, WA 99138, USA, provides a unique getaway with cabin accommodations, access to Twin Lakes for various recreational activities, and a friendly atmosphere. While it embraces an "unplugged charm" with limited Wi-Fi and spotty cell signal, Rainbow Beach Resort offers a relaxing environment with essential amenities and opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The environment at Rainbow Beach Resort is centered around the picturesque Twin Lakes. The resort offers lakefront cabins, providing easy access to the water for activities like boating and fishing. The presence of boat docks directly in front of these cabins further enhances the appeal for those looking to enjoy the lake. Just a short distance up the road, visitors will find a beach and picnic area, suggesting additional opportunities for lakeside relaxation and enjoyment. The resort is situated in a location that offers "great views," allowing guests to appreciate the natural scenery of the Twin Lakes region. While one visitor noted the quiet atmosphere during an October visit, especially in the first half of the week, the resort can become more lively as more guests arrive, indicating its popularity as a destination.
Accommodation at Rainbow Beach Resort primarily consists of cabins, which are described as "relatively close to each other." A significant advantage of these cabins is that they are equipped with kitchens, allowing guests the convenience of preparing their own meals. However, it's important to note that guests need to bring their own food supplies, including essentials like coffee, unless they plan to dine at the on-site restaurant. The resort also features a small convenience store (c-store) which doubles as the office, providing a place to purchase basic necessities. For those who enjoy outdoor gatherings, fire pits are available, and guests often like to sit out late, socializing and sometimes engaging in lively conversations or parties. While this contributes to a social atmosphere, it can occasionally result in some noise, particularly from car engines starting up near the cabins.
In terms of services and features, Rainbow Beach Resort aims to provide a comfortable and convenient stay. The on-site restaurant offers a casual dining option, with a menu described as "basically burger affair." This provides a convenient alternative to cooking in the cabin for some meals. The presence of a convenience store allows guests to purchase snacks, drinks, and other basic items without having to leave the resort. While Wi-Fi is not available and cell signal is spotty, this encourages guests to disconnect from technology and fully embrace the natural surroundings. The availability of boat docks for lakefront cabins is a significant feature for boating enthusiasts. The beach and picnic area located nearby offer additional recreational options for guests of all ages.
Promotional aspects of Rainbow Beach Resort are evident in the positive descriptions provided by visitors. The "nice place to stay for a while" and the "very nice cabin" (specifically the Grand Cabin) suggest comfortable and enjoyable accommodations. The mention of "friendly folks" highlights the welcoming atmosphere of the resort. The "great views" and the proximity to the lake with opportunities for boating and fishing are strong draws for those seeking a lakeside retreat. The on-site restaurant and convenience store add to the convenience and appeal of the resort, making it a self-contained destination where guests can relax and enjoy their vacation without having to travel far for basic needs or activities.
While specific details about the types of cabins available, their sizes, or their full list of amenities are not provided in the reviews, the mention of a kitchen in the cabins is a significant piece of information for those who prefer self-catering options. Similarly, while the restaurant's menu is described as basic, its presence offers a convenient dining alternative. The lack of Wi-Fi and spotty cell service, while a drawback for some, is framed as part of the "unplugged charm," suggesting a focus on relaxation and connection with nature rather than technology. The potential for noise from socializing guests and cars is a factor to consider for those who prioritize absolute quiet, but it seems to be within acceptable limits for most visitors.
To obtain more detailed information about the different types of cabins available, their rates, specific amenities, and the hours of operation for the restaurant and convenience store, local users are encouraged to contact Rainbow Beach Resort directly using the provided phone number: (509) 722-5901 or mobile number +1 509-722-5901. Speaking with the friendly folks mentioned in the reviews will likely provide a comprehensive understanding of what the resort has to offer and help in planning a perfect lakeside getaway. Given the positive feedback regarding the accommodations, the friendly atmosphere, and the access to Twin Lakes, Rainbow Beach Resort appears to be a promising "camping near me" option for those seeking a cabin-based lakeside experience in the Inchelium area.
In conclusion, Rainbow Beach Resort offers a charming lakeside retreat with cabin accommodations equipped with kitchens, providing a comfortable and self-sufficient stay. The resort's location on Twin Lakes offers opportunities for boating and fishing, complemented by a nearby beach and picnic area. The on-site restaurant and convenience store add to the convenience, while the friendly atmosphere enhances the overall experience. While the limited connectivity might be a consideration for some, it contributes to the resort's "unplugged charm," encouraging guests to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. For local users seeking a cabin-based "camping near me" experience with lake access and a friendly vibe, Rainbow Beach Resort is definitely worth considering.

Rainbow Beach Resort Reviews
This is a nice place to stay for a while. No Wi-Fi and cell signal is spotty but that is part of the unplugged charm. The cabins have a kitchen and bring with you what you want to eat, including coffee unless you plan on going to the on-site restaurant serving basically burger affair. There is a small c-store which is also the office. The Cabins are relatively close to each other and people park cars in between. There are fire pits and people like to sit out late and talk/party. This can get loud but was not super obnoxious. Cars can be loud when started up right on the other side of the wall.I am sure there is a lot more that can be done here like making use of the lake, boating and fishing. I was here in October and it was very quiet the first half of the week but people began to show up in the second half.Friendly folks and great views. Just up the road is a beach and picnic type area. In front of the lakefront cabins there are boat docks.

Apr 10, 2025 · Butch KinneyWe’ve been coming to rainbow beach resort for a good 20 years. It’s our favorite camp that we look forward to every year.Resort is super peaceful. We did come on a busy week, but there were no problems with the busyness. The resort does ask for a bit of an update. We stayed at the rv sites and 88,90 were overflowing with sewer for most of our stay and was nasty. This needs major fix up. Would be nice to level up the rv spots they have so many dips which the kids fall in.Fish cleaning station has been updated a bit that is nice.Biggest negative was skunks in the evening and night. Make sure to clean up all your food and trash or else they will get into everything and make a mess and obviously spray if you try to mess with them. I hope they can set up traps and catch them! They got new docks!!! Super stocked about that! Ladders by the docks where we swam at. Wish they had a public swim area because it feels like we are constantly invading the privacy of the waterfront cabins.Laundromat coins and soap dispensers don’t work, which is very inconvenient so you need to go to the store for that.Other than those few issues, we love it here.
Jul 30, 2023 · Julia KThe lake is a beautiful place to fish and hang out but the resort is not well taken care of. The fish cleaning station pipes were disconnected and drainage was all over the floor and the pipe that you can send the guts out to was over flowing on the grass. When we told the front desk they didn’t seem to care. We heard other’s complaints about it as well and said nothing was being done. There was also a fee If they found you cleaned fish in your room so you had to go to the resort next door to clean the fish. The cabins are old fashioned but decent for a family except most fire pits they said had to be shared with other cabins and the neighbor we had the fire pit was directly infront of their front door and they were not happen when they showed up to find us using it. The campground staff told us they would deliver firewood and it took 2 days and 3 times asking before it finally showed up. They also said they would find us our own fire pit and after 5 days it never showed up.If you are staying here it’s for the lake and not for a luxury stay
May 31, 2023 · Hailey ProbstLoved it, very relaxing & good fishing. Plain concrete floor on our Semi Modern Cabin were not my fav but i can deal. Store restaurant hours were not very convenient but those 2 issues were it! The rest was great. We will be back next year!
