Tall Pines RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Shady Hills, Florida area, Tall Pines RV Park, located at an unspecified address within Shady Hills, FL 34610, USA, with phone numbers (813) 712-3067 and +1 813-712-3067, appears to be a long-term residential RV park based on the available customer reviews. It is crucial for prospective residents, whether seeking short-term or extended stays, to carefully consider the significant concerns raised in these reviews before making a decision.
One recurring positive comment in the reviews focuses on the park manager, Theresa. According to one former resident who lived at Tall Pines for a year, "The only thing good about this park is the manager Theresa!!!" This suggests that the on-site manager may be helpful and a positive point of contact for residents. However, this single positive aspect is overshadowed by several serious allegations and complaints regarding the park's ownership, amenities, safety, and overall living conditions.
The same former resident provided a detailed account of highly concerning experiences. They alleged that the co-owner, Liz, fired their husband (who also worked at the park) for refusing to work off-property at her son's house due to his alleged drug use and offers of drugs. Subsequently, just two days before Christmas, the couple reportedly received an eviction notice, allegedly so the co-owner could move in a new maintenance person. The reviewer emphasized that they had never received any complaints and were never late on rent, painting a picture of potentially unfair and retaliatory eviction practices.
Furthermore, this review also raised serious concerns about the park's policies and amenities. It was alleged that a handicapped renter was charged for pumping out a septic tank shared with five other campers, which could be considered an unfair burden on a resident with disabilities. Critically, the reviewer stated that "Theres no laundry facilities or park bath house on the property, no wifi," indicating a significant lack of basic amenities that are typically expected in RV parks, especially those catering to long-term residents. The reviewer also claimed that "the owner refuses to fix the roads despite numerous complaints of damages to tenants vehicles," suggesting potential neglect of the park's infrastructure and a disregard for the well-being of residents' property.
Another reviewer echoed concerns about the park's ownership, describing the owner as "very sweet and friendly" initially but then criticizing the high cost for what they termed "little one room hovels." This suggests a potential mismatch between the perceived value and the rental rates at Tall Pines RV Park. More alarmingly, this reviewer raised significant safety and quality of life issues, stating, "You have some very questionable people who reside there with obvious substance abuse issues and mental problems which makes it extremely unpleasant for those who do not suffer from those maladies." This paints a concerning picture of the park's environment and the potential for negative interactions with other residents.
Adding to the safety concerns, the second reviewer also reported "not enough lighting in the back area of the park." They stated that it is so dark at night that "You literally cannot see a hand in front of your face if you go for a walk back there making it very unsafe." Inadequate lighting in common areas, especially at night, can pose significant safety risks to residents, increasing the potential for accidents or even criminal activity.
Considering the category "RV parks near me," Tall Pines RV Park in Shady Hills appears to fall significantly short of the typical expectations for an RV park, particularly for long-term stays. The lack of essential amenities such as laundry facilities, a bathhouse, and Wi-Fi is a major drawback. The allegations of unfair eviction practices, charging disabled residents for shared septic services, and neglecting road repairs are deeply concerning and suggest potential mismanagement. Moreover, the reports of "questionable people" with substance abuse and mental health issues residing in the park, coupled with inadequate lighting creating unsafe conditions at night, raise serious safety concerns for prospective residents.
While one reviewer mentioned the park manager, Theresa, in a positive light, this single positive aspect does not outweigh the multitude of serious negative issues raised in the reviews. Potential residents must consider the potential risks associated with the lack of amenities, alleged unfair practices, and significant safety concerns before considering Tall Pines RV Park.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Shady Hills, it is strongly recommended to thoroughly investigate alternative options. The information available online for Tall Pines RV Park paints a concerning picture of the living environment and management practices. The absence of basic amenities and the reported safety issues should be significant deterrents for most RV travelers and long-term residents seeking a comfortable and secure living situation.
It is possible that the conditions at Tall Pines RV Park may have changed since these reviews were posted. However, the nature and severity of the complaints warrant extreme caution. Prospective residents should, at a minimum, conduct a thorough in-person visit, speak directly with current residents (if possible), and carefully assess the park's amenities, safety features, and management practices before considering a stay. Asking specific questions about laundry facilities, bathhouses, Wi-Fi availability, road maintenance plans, security measures, and the park's policies regarding tenant rights and responsibilities would be essential.
In conclusion, based on the available customer reviews, Tall Pines RV Park in Shady Hills presents significant concerns regarding its lack of essential amenities, potential mismanagement, and safety issues. While the park manager received a positive mention, this is overshadowed by allegations of unfair practices, neglect of infrastructure, and a potentially unsafe living environment. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Shady Hills are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and thoroughly explore alternative RV parks that offer the necessary amenities, ensure a safe living environment, and demonstrate responsible management practices. The information available suggests that Tall Pines RV Park may not be a suitable option for those seeking a comfortable and secure RV living experience.
