If you are looking for "RV parks near me" in the San Antonio, Texas area, Tejas Valley RV Park, located at 13080 Potranco Rd, San Antonio, TX 78253, USA, presents a location to consider, although recent customer reviews indicate a need for potential improvements. You can contact them at (210) 679-7715 or their mobile line at +1 210-679-7715 to inquire about current availability and specific details for your stay.
When considering "RV parks near me," the environment and overall appearance of the park can significantly influence your decision. According to customer reviews, Tejas Valley RV Park presents a mixed visual impression. One reviewer noted that there are "small cottages in the back and they are all run down with shingles missing and shades on the window broken," which gives the park a "shabby appearance." This suggests that while the RV sites themselves might be adequate, other structures on the property could detract from the overall aesthetic. Another reviewer who briefly drove through the smaller RV site described it as "just ok" but ultimately chose to continue looking at other sites, implying that the initial impression was not entirely satisfactory. These observations suggest that while the basic infrastructure for RVs might be present, the general upkeep and visual appeal of the park could be improved. For those prioritizing a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing environment when searching for "RV parks near me," Tejas Valley RV Park might require further scrutiny.
The services and amenities offered at an RV park are crucial for a comfortable stay. Reviews for Tejas Valley RV Park provide some insights into the available services, although with certain limitations. One reviewer mentioned that "The pool was not open when we were there, due to maintenance problems," indicating potential issues with the reliability of some amenities. However, the same reviewer noted that "The laundry area seems nice," suggesting that this particular facility is well-maintained. Additionally, the reviewer appreciated the availability of a "clubhouse room" for private use, which could be a valuable amenity for guests needing a quiet space. Despite these positives, the inoperable pool due to maintenance raises concerns about the upkeep of other facilities. The second reviewer did not comment specifically on services but focused on the overall appearance of the park. Therefore, while Tejas Valley RV Park may offer essential services like laundry and a clubhouse, the temporary closure of the pool due to maintenance is a factor to consider when evaluating "RV parks near me." It would be advisable to inquire about the current status of all amenities when contacting the park.
Features of Tejas Valley RV Park, as gleaned from the customer feedback, include a friendly manager (mentioned by one reviewer), a seemingly nice laundry area, and a clubhouse room available for guest use. However, notable drawbacks include the inoperable pool due to maintenance issues and the shabby appearance caused by run-down cottages on the property. The less-than-impressive initial impression of the smaller RV site, leading one potential guest to continue their search, is also a significant feature to consider. The mention of witnessing a potentially tense interaction upon arrival might also raise concerns about the overall atmosphere, although this could be an isolated incident. The proximity to San Antonio is not explicitly stated in these reviews, but the address indicates it is within the San Antonio area, which could be a feature for those wanting access to the city's attractions. However, the internal features and overall condition of the park itself appear to be areas where improvements might be needed. For those seeking "RV parks near me" with reliable amenities and a well-maintained appearance, Tejas Valley RV Park presents a mixed bag of features that warrant careful consideration.

Given the reported maintenance issues with the pool and the concerns about the park's appearance, it would be particularly prudent to inquire about the current status of all amenities and any ongoing renovations or improvements. Understanding the pricing structure, including daily, weekly, or monthly rates, and any potential additional fees is also essential for making an informed decision.
The customer reviews for Tejas Valley RV Park offer a somewhat cautionary perspective. While the friendly manager and the seemingly nice laundry area are positive aspects, the inoperable pool due to maintenance and the shabby appearance of the cottages are significant drawbacks. The unimpressive initial view of the smaller RV sites also suggests that the overall quality might not meet everyone's expectations. For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in San Antonio, it is important to weigh these positive and negative comments carefully and consider whether the potential benefits outweigh the reported shortcomings.
In conclusion, Tejas Valley RV Park in San Antonio, TX, offers a location within the city and features a friendly manager, a seemingly nice laundry area, and a clubhouse room. However, potential guests should be aware of reported issues including an inoperable pool due to maintenance problems and a shabby appearance caused by run-down cottages on the property. The initial impression of the RV sites was also not entirely positive for one potential guest. For those exploring "RV parks near me," it is recommended to contact Tejas Valley RV Park directly to inquire about the current status of all amenities, any planned improvements, and to assess whether the park meets their specific needs and expectations for a stay in the San Antonio area. Considering alternative "RV parks near me" might also be advisable to ensure a satisfactory experience.

Tejas Valley RV Park Reviews
The pool was not open when we were there, due to maintenance problems. There are small cottages in the back and they are all run down with shingles missing and shades on the window broken. It gives the park a shabby appearance. The manager was very friendly. I used the clubhouse room to practice my flute and had privacy for that. The laundry area seems nice.
Apr 03, 2025 · Shirley BustosLooked like it needs a reno & some beautifying to be done. When we pulled up, there was a woman with a bat in her hand standing in front of a man & from the looks of it, she was telling him something pretty strongly. We drive around the smaller rv site & it just ok. Glad we chose to keep looking at other sites.
Mar 06, 2025 · Rebecca MileyI've stayed here many times over the past few years and it's always a good experience. It's peaceful and quiet, with full hookups and sites for rigs of every size. Cindy and the other ladies are always very accommodating, helpful, professionally friendly, and polite. It's very easy to receive packages here. Office, showers, restrooms, and laundry rooms are always clean and well-stocked with supplies. Sam and the other gentlemen on the grounds are also very helpful and friendly.

Dec 10, 2024 · melissa carmoegaWe were greeted by two of the friendliest people who immediately made us feel at home. The park is beautiful, with spacious lots. Clean manicured lots, hard pack parking with a picnic table provided on the lawn. Quiet evenings, restaurants, groceries, and motor fuels are available within 2.5 miles. A gem of a park in San Antonio Tx.
