The Village Green - Manufactured Housing Community Introduce
If you are searching for "rv parks near me" and considering long-term living options in Seymour, Indiana, The Village Green - Manufactured Housing Community, located at 825 S Obrien St, Seymour, IN 47274, USA, is one such option. They can be contacted at (812) 522-4669 or their mobile number +1 812-522-4669 for inquiries. Based on the limited reviews available, it is crucial for prospective residents to carefully consider the feedback provided before making any decisions.
One of the available reviews expresses a strong desire to leave, stating, "CANT WAIT TO SELL THIS PLACE AND MOVE OUT !!!" This sentiment suggests a significant level of dissatisfaction with the living conditions or management at The Village Green.
Another, more detailed review provides specific reasons for this dissatisfaction. The former resident mentions that the "Lot rent is outrageous" and describes the condition of the infrastructure, stating that "the roads are torn up!" This indicates potential concerns regarding the cost of living within the community and the maintenance of essential infrastructure. Furthermore, they note a change in policy regarding road maintenance, stating, "You now have to pay for gravel," which could represent an additional and unexpected expense for residents.
The review also makes a comparison to a previous manager, Ralph (who is mentioned as "rip"), suggesting a decline in the park's condition and management since his departure. The resident states, "...since Ralph (rip) isn't here anymore the place has gone down hill. They let anyone move in." This implies a perceived decrease in the standards for new residents, potentially affecting the overall community environment. The reviewer further mentions issues with pets and general cleanliness, stating, "There's cat's and dogs running around everywhere and there's trash in a lot of yards." This paints a picture of a community where pet control and waste management may be lacking.
The former resident concludes by emphasizing the negative change, saying, "Ralph would never let his park get ran down this bad ever!!!" This reiterates the sentiment that the current state of The Village Green is significantly worse than it was under previous management.
Considering these two reviews, the overall impression of The Village Green - Manufactured Housing Community is negative. The concerns raised include high lot rent, poor road conditions, additional costs for infrastructure maintenance, a perceived decline in community standards regarding new residents, and issues with unsupervised pets and litter. These are significant factors that potential residents searching for "rv parks near me" for long-term living should take into serious consideration.
The environment of The Village Green, based on these reviews, appears to be one where infrastructure is deteriorating, and community standards may be declining. The presence of loose cats and dogs and trash in yards suggests a lack of enforcement of community rules or adequate maintenance. While the physical layout and natural surroundings of the park are not described, these negative aspects of community management and maintenance could significantly impact the overall living experience, regardless of the initial environment.
In terms of services and features, the reviews primarily focus on negative aspects related to management and maintenance. The mention of lot rent indicates that residents are paying for the use of the land. The presence of roads is a basic feature of any mobile home park, but the description of them being "torn up" suggests a lack of upkeep. The change in policy requiring residents to pay for gravel for road maintenance indicates a shift in responsibility for infrastructure upkeep. Other typical services of a manufactured housing community, such as water, sewage, and possibly trash removal, are not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, so their quality and reliability cannot be assessed based on this information alone.
There is no promotional information provided in the given text. Therefore, local users exploring "rv parks near me" and considering The Village Green will need to contact the management directly to inquire about current lot rental rates, lease terms, any available amenities, and any potential promotions or incentives for new residents. It would be particularly important to ask specific questions related to the concerns raised in the reviews, such as the current condition of the roads, policies regarding road maintenance, pet control, waste management, and the overall management philosophy.
For local users in Seymour, Indiana, searching for "rv parks near me" for long-term living, The Village Green - Manufactured Housing Community is an option to be aware of. However, the strongly negative feedback in the available reviews regarding high lot rent, poor infrastructure, declining community standards, and unsatisfactory management should prompt potential residents to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering this community. This should include a visit to the property to assess the conditions firsthand, speaking with current residents (if possible) to get a broader range of perspectives, and asking detailed questions of the management regarding the issues raised in the reviews and their plans for addressing them.
In conclusion, based on the limited but strongly negative reviews, The Village Green - Manufactured Housing Community in Seymour, Indiana, appears to be a mobile home park facing significant challenges related to infrastructure maintenance, community standards, and management. Local users searching for "rv parks near me" should be aware of these concerns and are strongly advised to conduct thorough personal investigation before considering residency at this location. The lack of positive feedback or promotional information further underscores the need for caution and comprehensive research.

CANT WAIT TO SELL THIS PLACE AND MOVE OUT !!!
Apr 05, 2025 · Baby LIm glad I sold my trailer and bought a real home.. The Lot rent is outrageous and the roads are torn up! You now have to pay for gravel and since Ralph (rip) isn't here anymore the place has gone down hill. They let anyone move in. There's cat's and dogs running around everywhere and there's trash in a lot of yards. Ralph would never let his park get ran down this bad ever!!!
Jan 02, 2022 · Jennifer BlazedelI've lived here for years now. The lot rent is outrageous the upkeep isn't as good as it used to be. But I'm happy where I am and I'm not bothered much except for the rooster next door.
Aug 18, 2021 · KimberlyOther than tons of Latinos blaring their music all weekend, not a bad place to live. Owners are pretty relaxed as far as I can tell.
Aug 11, 2019 · Bill B.The roads are horriable the water is sometimes yellow and nasty it always has to b boiled. There is always piles of furniture and broke down cars everywhere. The part is old and worn out. The streets flood out. Its very sad they make so much money owning it to have to do nothing but set back and collect
