Three Springs RV Resort Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the vicinity of the popular Lake Cumberland in Kentucky, Three Springs RV Resort in Columbia offers a welcoming and peaceful retreat. While it might not boast the extensive amenities of a large resort with pools and shops, its strengths lie in its spacious, tree-shaded sites with full hookups, the exceptional hospitality of its owners, and its convenient location near the lake and its recreational opportunities. If you value a friendly, quiet atmosphere and easy access to nature, Three Springs RV Resort could be the perfect destination for your next RV adventure.
Environment and Location:
Three Springs RV Resort is located in Columbia, Kentucky, placing it within a short distance of the renowned Lake Cumberland. Lake Cumberland is a major attraction in the region, known for its vast expanse of water, excellent fishing, boating opportunities, and scenic shorelines. The RV park's address at 3680 Holmes Bend Rd suggests it is situated in a potentially more rural and tranquil setting, offering a peaceful escape while still providing convenient access to the lake and surrounding natural areas. The environment around Columbia and Lake Cumberland is characterized by rolling hills, lush greenery, and abundant wildlife, making it an appealing destination for nature lovers.
Reviewers consistently mention the quiet atmosphere of Three Springs RV Resort, which is a significant draw for those seeking a relaxing stay. The presence of large, wide RV spots situated under the shade of trees contributes to a comfortable and pleasant environment, especially during warmer months. The well-kept grounds further enhance the appeal of the resort, indicating a level of care and maintenance that ensures a pleasant experience for guests. The proximity to the lake, described as a "very short distance," allows for easy access to water-based activities such as fishing and swimming.
Services and Amenities:
A recurring theme in the reviews is the exceptional hospitality of the owners, Mr. Greg and his wife. They are described as "very nice" and "the sweetest people you will ever meet," who go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. This personal touch and dedication to customer service can significantly enhance the overall experience, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. The owners' willingness to assist guests likely contributes to the positive reviews and the high rate of return visitors.
The resort offers "full hookups" at each of its large and wide sites, which is a significant convenience for RV travelers. Full hookups typically include connections for electricity, water, and sewer, allowing for a comfortable and self-contained RV living experience. The spaciousness of the sites, combined with the shade provided by the trees, adds to the comfort and privacy of each camping spot.
It is important to note, as mentioned by one reviewer, that Three Springs RV Resort does not offer amenities such as a pool or shops, and specifically lacks showers and laundry facilities. This suggests a more traditional and perhaps less resort-oriented RV park experience, focusing on the essentials and the natural surroundings. Guests who value these specific amenities may need to consider alternative options or plan accordingly for their needs.
Features and Activities:
The primary feature of Three Springs RV Resort is its proximity to Lake Cumberland and the natural attractions of the surrounding area. The lake offers a wide range of recreational activities, including excellent fishing, swimming, boating, and exploring the scenic shoreline. The "very short distance" to the lake makes it easily accessible for guests of the RV park.
The abundance of wildlife in the area is another significant feature. Reviewers mention that the wildlife is "plentiful," suggesting opportunities for nature observation and enjoying the local fauna. This can be a major draw for those who appreciate being close to nature and observing animals in their natural habitat.
While the resort itself might not have extensive on-site amenities like pools or organized activities, its quiet and peaceful atmosphere provides a relaxing environment for those looking to unwind. The spacious, tree-shaded sites offer a comfortable and private outdoor living space. The resort's appeal is geared towards those who appreciate a more natural and less commercialized camping experience, with a focus on enjoying the surrounding lakes and wilderness.
The positive experiences of repeat visitors, including one who lived there full-time for two and a half years and highly recommends it, underscore the welcoming and comfortable nature of Three Springs RV Resort for both short-term and long-term stays. The recommendation for camping with friends and family further suggests its suitability for group outings seeking a quiet and enjoyable environment.

Three Springs RV Resort Reviews
Very nice owners. Don't expect a resort with pool or shops. The spots are big, wide, and under the trees with full hookups. Stayed here during Amazon peak 2017, so didn't get to go to the nearby lake or dam. Was quiet during our stay. Would recommend if you want to go camping with friends and family.
Dec 24, 2017 · fernando ubaldoMr. Greg and his wife, owners, are the sweetest people you will ever meet! They do everything they can to accommodate you. We have visited here many times and will be back again and again! If you like the lakes, fishing, swimming, etc.. the lake is a very short distance and t hth e wildlife is plentiful! I would reccomend this place to anyone. With or without children. The sites are fairly roomy and well kept grounds.

Jul 26, 2020 · Carl GarettThe People aren't as they seem it's really not lake front and good luck getting the wifi to work they don't rent daily it's monthly half a year or a whole year and you have to pay your own electric and no bath house I'd rather go to burnside island where the people are friendly they have play grounds for the kids and showers
