For those searching "RV Parks Near Me" with an interest in entertainment and convenience, the Treasure Island Resort & Casino RV Park in Welch, Minnesota, presents a unique option. Located at 5636 Sturgeon Lake Rd, Welch, MN 55089, this RV park caters to guests looking to combine their RV travels with the excitement of a resort and casino environment. You can reach the park directly at (651) 267-3060 or +1 651-267-3060.
The environment of the Treasure Island Resort & Casino RV Park is characterized by its direct proximity to the expansive Treasure Island Resort & Casino. While some traditional RV parks prioritize lush natural settings, this park is designed for accessibility and convenience to the resort's offerings. As one reviewer noted, it can feel "more of a parking lot than an RV park," implying a less rustic and more utilitarian setup, with sites predominantly being gravel or asphalt. However, it's important to recognize that this is a common characteristic of RV parks directly associated with large entertainment complexes, where the focus is on ease of access and providing necessary hookups rather than immersive natural landscapes. Despite this, the park is situated near Sturgeon Lake and the Mississippi River, offering opportunities for walks to the marina during the day. Security patrols are in place, particularly when the park is officially open, to ensure guest safety, though some reviews mention isolated incidents of "sketchy individuals." Weekends can be "rowdy," which is understandable given the adjacent casino and its entertainment options. The environment is generally described as functional and well-maintained, with a "clean and well-maintained" property being highlighted by one reviewer.
The services at Treasure Island Resort & Casino RV Park are geared towards providing essential comforts for RVers. The park offers full hookups, including water, sewer, and electrical connections (both 30 and 50 amp sites are available), which are fundamental for a comfortable RV stay. Reviews confirm that water pressure is "decent," and there were "no issues with the power or sewer setup." The park also provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the casino and other resort amenities, a significant convenience for guests who wish to enjoy the entertainment without moving their vehicles. While laundry facilities are available, one reviewer described them as "pretty gross," suggesting they are functional but may not be the most inviting. Restrooms and showers are also provided; some reports suggest newer and super clean bathhouses, offering a pleasant experience. Free Wi-Fi is advertised, providing connectivity for guests. For those with pets, the park is pet-friendly and includes a pet walk area and grassy spots for walks, which is a valuable service for animal owners. The office staff are generally described as "kind and did their best with the resources they had," indicating a helpful if sometimes constrained, level of service.
Key features of the Treasure Island Resort & Casino RV Park revolve around its integration with the larger resort complex. The park boasts 94 full hookup RV sites and also offers separate campground areas, including 26 tent sites and 20 primitive campsites along River's Edge, some with picnic tables and fire pits. The availability of pull-through sites makes it convenient for larger rigs. The primary feature is undoubtedly the direct access to the Treasure Island Resort & Casino itself. This includes a wide array of entertainment options: a large casino with slots, table games, and bingo; live entertainment and concerts in the Island Event and Convention Center; a 24-lane bowling center (Island Xtreme Bowl) with an arcade and lounge; and numerous dining choices ranging from fine dining at Tado Steakhouse to more casual options. The resort also features The Lagoon indoor water park, Wave Spa, and a 137-slip marina, offering diverse activities beyond gambling. For outdoor enthusiasts, the proximity to Sturgeon Lake and the Mississippi River allows for boating, fishing, and scenic walks. The park's ability to accommodate stays from daily to monthly (with competitive rates for 30 AMP and 50 AMP full hookups) offers flexibility for various travel plans, from short concert visits to extended working stays.
Promotional information for Treasure Island Resort & Casino RV Park consistently highlights the convenience of being "just steps from the best gaming and entertainment in Minnesota." It emphasizes the full hookups and complimentary shuttle service as key benefits. Offers and packages related to the resort, such as "Play & Stay" hotel packages (though primarily for hotel guests, they hint at the overall entertainment value), "Two-Night Staycation," and promotions tied to the Island Passport Club (casino loyalty program), suggest a focus on attracting visitors who want to maximize their entertainment experience. The park's annual operating season, generally April 1 to November 1, is noted, and booking for future seasons (e.g., 2025) is actively encouraged through online booking systems. The friendliness of the staff and the ease of access for large RVs are also implicit in positive feedback. While the park itself may be "no-frills" in terms of natural ambiance, its promotional appeal lies squarely in its function as a practical and well-connected base for enjoying the extensive amenities of Treasure Island Resort & Casino. They address practical concerns such as safety with mentions of security rounds, and convenience with details like proximity to Red Wing for groceries. The phone numbers, (651) 267-3060 and +1 651-267-3060, are readily available for reservations and inquiries, underlining the park's direct and accommodating approach to potential guests.
In conclusion, the Treasure Island Resort & Casino RV Park at 5636 Sturgeon Lake Rd, Welch, MN 55089, serves as a highly functional and convenient option for those searching "RV Parks Near Me" who prioritize access to entertainment and essential services. While it may not offer a secluded natural camping experience, its full hookups, shuttle service, and direct connection to the vast amenities of Treasure Island Resort & Casino provide a distinct value proposition. It is well-suited for guests attending concerts, working in the area, or simply looking for a lively and accessible RV stop with plenty of activities. Despite some minor noted drawbacks concerning communal areas or occasional noise, the overall sentiment points to a practical, secure, and friendly environment for RV travelers. Prospective visitors can easily contact the park at (651) 267-3060 or +1 651-267-3060 to inquire about availability and specific offerings.

Treasure Island Resort & Casino RV Park Reviews
I stopped by off season to ask about this place, and was lucky enough to run into the manager. She was very friendly and helpful in answering my questions. I will definitely camp here in the Spring.
Feb 26, 2025 · Timothy MontourWe stayed here due to limited options (unless my husband wanted to commute 40 minutes to the job site). If you’re working at the plant, this spot is convenient enough. They kindly stayed open past their usual closing date to accommodate workers, which we appreciated. That said, this is more of a parking lot than an RV park. Security does make rounds, although more frequently when the park is officially open, which makes sense. We had a couple of sketchy individuals knock on our door, but thankfully, nothing serious happened. The water pressure is decent, and we had no issues with the power or sewer setup. The laundry room is pretty gross, but it’s functional if you need it. I didn’t use the bathrooms, so I can’t comment on those. The marina is a nice place to walk to during the day—just avoid it after dark. The office staff were kind and did their best with the resources they had. Weekends can get rowdy, likely due to the casino next door. While driving to Red Wing for groceries isn’t far, it can feel like a hassle. Overall, this place is fine for a short stay if you’re here for work, but don’t expect much beyond the basics.
Nov 26, 2024 · Katie RobbThis is not an RV Park !!! It's a parking lot with RV's sitting in rows. It's loud, dirty, and trashy. There seems to be a lot of fulltimers living here. They allow them to have bonfires which I think is extremely dangerous having RV's so close together besides the fact the smoke goes straight into the next RV. If you were smart, you'd pass on this one. $35 is way over priced !! The neighbors are so close you could hold hands. You can hear every word they're saying. Do yourself a favor, keep driving, don't stop here !!! Walmart would be a better bet. If I could give 0 stars I would, they don't even deserve 1 star. (This is out our window)
Oct 20, 2024 · Jo SBEWARE RV PARK. No grass. This is camping in a parking lot. RV park doesn’t give you the 50% coupon for water park so you will be charged double if you want to use the water park. $15 a person 2 and older. There is no outdoor pool, play ground or anything to do at parking lot RV park. No golf carts allowed. We camped with another couple and called when on our way to make sure we had spots next to each other. She confirmed we did and told me the spot numbers. Then when we got there we were sent to two completely different rows, not even next to each other. Young employees that don’t offer much help. Casino sucked. Won’t be back.
Jun 30, 2024 · Emily OReasonable price, level asphalt and gravel sites, convenient hookups, secure, and next to a casino. If you are looking for grass and trees, move on. Convenient to the Twin Cities.
