When evaluating a mobile home or RV park for potential long-term living, factors such as the management, the environment for families, and the overall safety and security of the community are often key considerations. The available online reviews for Tropicana Village Mobile Home Community offer some insights into these aspects, presenting both positive and potentially concerning perspectives.
One reviewer shares a positive experience with a former manager named Rich, describing him as a "very nice guy" and "one of the best neighbors I've ever had." This positive sentiment extends to the park itself, which the reviewer found to be "well ran and taken care of." This suggests that at least at one point, the management was effective and the community was well-maintained, contributing to a positive living environment for residents.
Another reviewer describes Tropicana Village as "a very nice place for families," indicating that the community might be particularly suitable for those with children or those who appreciate a family-oriented atmosphere. This can be a significant draw for individuals seeking a neighborhood with a welcoming environment for all age groups.
However, this same reviewer raises a significant concern regarding the security of the mobile home complex. They point out that the sides of the property are open from both Jones Street and Tropicana Avenue, allowing anyone to enter the community. The reviewer expresses concern that individuals who do not live in the complex come in at night and snoop around the mobile homes. To address this perceived security vulnerability, the reviewer suggests closing off these open sides to prevent unauthorized access or at least make it more difficult for non-residents to enter private property. This security concern is a critical factor that potential residents would need to consider and potentially investigate further.
Considering these two reviews, Tropicana Village Mobile Home Community appears to have some positive attributes, including a potentially family-friendly environment and a history of being well-managed and maintained. However, the significant security concern raised by one reviewer regarding the open access points to the community warrants careful consideration. The potential for non-residents to enter the property and snoop around, especially at night, could be a serious drawback for those prioritizing safety and security in their living environment.
When searching for "RV parks near me" for long-term residency, safety and security are often paramount concerns. Residents want to feel secure in their homes and within their community. The open access described at Tropicana Village could potentially lead to feelings of vulnerability or unease for some individuals and families. It would be important to understand what measures, if any, are currently in place to address this issue and what the management's stance is on enhancing the security of the community.
Potential residents might want to inquire about any security patrols, surveillance systems, or plans to enclose the open sides of the property. Understanding the park's policies on visitors and how they are monitored, especially during nighttime hours, would also be crucial in assessing the overall security of Tropicana Village.
Despite the security concerns raised, the positive comments about the family-friendly atmosphere and past effective management suggest that Tropicana Village may offer a pleasant living experience in other aspects. Families looking for a community with a welcoming environment for children might find it appealing. However, the open access issue could outweigh these benefits for those who place a high priority on security.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Tropicana Village Mobile Home Community, prospective residents should contact the management directly to discuss the security concerns raised in the reviews and to inquire about any measures in place or planned to address them. It would also be beneficial to ask about the specific amenities offered within the community, such as laundry facilities, recreational areas, pet policies, and the overall rules and regulations of the park. Visiting the property in person to observe the layout and the open access points could provide a clearer picture of the potential security vulnerabilities.
For individuals specifically looking for "RV parks near me" for long-term stays, the sense of community and the safety and security of that community are often key factors in their decision. While Tropicana Village is described as family-friendly and was reportedly well-maintained under previous management, the current open access situation could be a significant deterrent for some. It would be essential to weigh the positive aspects against the potential security risks and to seek assurances from the current management regarding the safety and security of the residents and their property.
In conclusion, Tropicana Village Mobile Home Community in Las Vegas, NV, appears to offer a family-friendly environment and has been praised for being well-maintained under past management. However, a significant concern has been raised regarding the open access to the property from two major streets, potentially compromising the security of the residents. Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" and considering Tropicana Village should carefully evaluate their security needs and concerns and seek detailed information from the current management about the measures in place to ensure the safety and security of the community.

Rich the manager was a very nice guy- he was one of the best neighbors I've ever had. The park was well ran and taken care of.
Nov 22, 2024 · Philip Joseph Beaulieu (Joe)It's a very nice place for families, the only complaint I have is the sides of the mobile home complex are open from the Jones st. Side and Tropicana Ave. side! Anyone can come in the mobile complex. In the night people come in that don't even live here and snooping around the mobile homes! I think if they close the sides it will prevent people that don't live to come in. Well at least make it more harder for them to come in private property!
Sep 03, 2024 · angel sioManagement's are like clowns in this community and security is a joke!!! Trying to stop people at the entrance or 1 hour and then the rest of the night no security and your surrender are wide open for anyone to walk in!! Trying to charge you for what you want to park in your own drive way. Management and security are a joke like clowns and rude poeple!!!
Sep 30, 2023 · Rosmery RodriguezManagement is a BIG TIME joke here and the security guard Harold smells like pure alcohol while on shift. He broke into my home disturbing my peace to falsely accuse my household over his 'assumptions'. I mean, YELLING, its all on surveillance. Don't rent here its not worth it.
Oct 21, 2023 · JanJan SlaysGreat place to live and close to my job. My only complaint is, theydont enforce pet policies. I work graveyard and sleep 2pm to 1030pm and like clock work around 630ish. Everyone gets home and puts their dogs outside and leave them out to continously bark. And when you have about 3 to 6 dogs I the section I live. It's like each dog has to prove who barks loudest.
