Tuckaseegee RV Resort Introduce
Are you searching for a serene and well-equipped RV park in the heart of the beautiful Smoky Mountains of North Carolina? Consider Tuckaseegee RV Resort, located at 78 Wilmont Rd, Whittier, NC. For local users exploring options under the category "RV Parks Near Me," Tuckaseegee RV Resort presents a compelling choice, offering a range of accommodation options and access to various outdoor activities along the scenic Tuckaseegee River.
Based on customer reviews, Tuckaseegee RV Resort offers a diverse experience for its guests. One review highlights a negative interaction with a host regarding a reservation and parking situation, leading to a decision to stay elsewhere. This feedback points to a potential inconsistency in customer service that prospective guests should be aware of.
However, another more detailed review paints a positive picture of the resort, particularly for those utilizing the camping cabins and interacting with other members of the management team. This guest stayed for four nights while meeting friends and found the camping cabins to be an "ideal option" for those without an RV. The cabins are described as "so clean, well kept, well-equipped and decorated tastefully, with a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere." This suggests that for guests opting for cabin rentals, Tuckaseegee RV Resort offers a high standard of accommodation.
The positive review also commends the camp managers, Glenn, Jane, and Bryan, as "excellent hosts," describing them as "very accommodating and friendly, like you've known them forever!" Bryan is specifically mentioned for ensuring guests have everything they need during their stay. This indicates that while one guest experienced a negative interaction, others have found the management to be exceptionally welcoming and helpful.
The resort's physical environment is also highlighted positively. The reviewer notes that "each lot is shady, has a privacy (low) fence, with trees, shrubs separating each camper, and lots are appropriate size, with full hook-ups and concrete pad." This suggests well-maintained and spacious RV sites with essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The availability of full hook-ups is a significant advantage for RV travelers seeking convenience.
A key feature of Tuckaseegee RV Resort is its location right beside the Tuckaseegee River. This offers guests the opportunity to "enjoy the peaceful setting either by fishing or just relaxing" by the water. For those seeking more active pursuits, "rafting or tubing is just a few miles down the road" and is described as a "popular sport for this river." This direct access to the river and proximity to recreational activities make the resort an attractive option for outdoor enthusiasts.
Accessibility is another benefit mentioned in the positive review. The campground has "easy access off of the highway, no slippery roads, and park has paved roads," ensuring a smooth arrival and navigation within the resort. Furthermore, it boasts a "great location to nearby towns, within just a few minutes drive, for more exploration or to buy those necessities you forgot." This convenience allows guests to easily access local amenities and explore the surrounding area.
The positive review concludes by stating, "This is a place that you will find you will come back to, frequently," indicating a high level of satisfaction with the overall experience, particularly concerning the cabin accommodations, the helpfulness of most of the management, and the appealing location.
Considering both reviews, it appears that Tuckaseegee RV Resort offers well-maintained facilities, particularly the camping cabins and RV sites with full hook-ups. The riverside location and proximity to outdoor activities like fishing, rafting, and tubing are significant draws. The management, with the exception of the interaction noted in the negative review, is generally described as friendly and accommodating.
For local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in the Whittier area, Tuckaseegee RV Resort presents a location with appealing natural features and generally positive feedback regarding the accommodations and management (specifically Glenn, Jane, and Bryan). However, the negative review regarding the initial phone contact and interaction upon arrival serves as a cautionary note about potential inconsistencies in customer service.
To make an informed decision, prospective guests are encouraged to contact Tuckaseegee RV Resort directly at (828) 497-3598 or their mobile number +1 828-497-3598 to inquire about reservations, availability, and any specific concerns they may have. As mentioned in one review, reservations are typically made by phone, as online booking may not be available. It would be beneficial to speak directly with the management to gauge the current service standards and ensure a pleasant stay. Despite the mixed feedback, the resort's location, amenities, and the positive experiences of some guests, especially those in the camping cabins, suggest that Tuckaseegee RV Resort could still be a worthwhile option for those seeking a riverside retreat in the Smoky Mountains.

Tuckaseegee RV Resort Reviews
We called earlier in the morning to reserve a spot we never received a call back so we figured we stop in and check to see if it had availability. The host was off for the day but did pick up his phone he was very rude with my wife on the phone. We agreed to rent two spots since we do have a uhaul and there wasn't extra parking he continued to be rude when he showed up but I figured we only have to sleep here one night so no big deal. I went in the office to pay and he told me we had to be out first thing in the morning "because if his boss saw our junk parked there he would be in trouble" at that point I was done our rig is newer and in very good condition so I told him never mind we'll take our business elsewhere. There is another rv park right down the road that is much more accommodating and easier to access. I would not recommend stopping here if you can avoid it.
Feb 27, 2025 · Derek SeigleStayed here for 4 nights, meeting friends, and found the camping cabins to be the ideal option, if one doesn't have an RV.....so clean, well kept, well-equipped and decorated tastefully, with a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The camp managers (Glenn, Jane, Bryan) were excellent hosts! Very accommodating and friendly, like you've known them forever! Call for reservations, as they do not book online. Bryan is awesome and sees that you have everything you need while staying at the park. This park is usually full most of the time. Each lot is shady, has a privacy (low) fence, with trees, shrubs separating each camper, and lots are appropriate size, with full hook-ups and concrete pad. The Tuskaseegee River runs right beside it, so one can enjoy the peaceful setting either by fishing or just relaxing. Rafting or tubing is just a few miles down the road, and is a popular sport for this river. This campground has easy access off of the highway, no slippery roads, and park has paved roads. Great location to nearby towns, within just a few minutes drive, for more exploration or to buy those necessities you forgot. This is a place that you will find you will come back to, frequently.

Feb 27, 2025 · Scott MooreUpdate: my husband and I wished to make another stay there this year. Have tried multiple time to call and send emails to make reservations. No answer or reply. Office hours are not listed in voicemail or website. Is this resort till open? For this reason I am changing the service from 5 to 3.We absolutely loved our stay. The owners And hosts were wonderful, helpful and friendly. Our only down side is that we couldn’t stay longer and will be missing their cookout tomorrow. We had to leave to go back home. Central location to all things Smokey mountains. Very clean facility, laundry and showers too if you need them. We will be back. There is some traffics noise from the highway but most RV resorts are close to the highway here.
Mar 12, 2024 · Kimberley HoughtalingThis is a wonderful place. We stayed in one of the cabins they have on the property. First, I will say everyone there is so friendly and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The cabin was a perfect size for my husband and me. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. The location is great- it didn’t take us very long to drive to all the surrounding towns for sightseeing. We have already talked about wanting to go back!
