Situated along the Apache Trail, Tumbleweed RV Apache Junction benefits from its location in a region renowned for its scenic desert landscapes and proximity to the Superstition Mountains. Apache Junction is a well-known haven for RVers, especially during the winter months, offering a blend of natural beauty and access to necessary amenities and attractions. The environment surrounding the park provides opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration of the unique Arizona desert.
The customer reviews offer a glimpse into the evolving experience at Tumbleweed RV Apache Junction. One reviewer fondly recalls a time when "Debbie and Dan were the true managers and heart of this park," emphasizing the "enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere" they created. This suggests a period where the park was known for its positive management and community feel.
However, a more recent review expresses significant concerns following a change in management. This customer notes that "the park feels empty and distant" under the new leadership, and the fact that the manager does not live on-site full-time raises concerns about "security and oversight of the parks' comings and goings of strange people." This lack of a constant on-site presence is perceived as a potential drawback regarding the safety and monitoring of the park.
Furthermore, this reviewer mentions that the park was "originally conceived" to have a gated entrance and laundry facility, amenities that are apparently still lacking. The reviewer points out that they are paying a similar rate to parks that offer these amenities, along with "full-time security and a pool," none of which are currently available at Tumbleweed RV Apache Junction. The reviewer's continued stay is attributed to travel constraints and reliance on neighbors for security and personal cloud services for surveillance, highlighting a sense of dissatisfaction with the current situation.
This review strongly advises potential customers to "consider alternatives" until the mentioned shortcomings are addressed without an increase in lot fees, even suggesting that rebates should be considered for promised but unrendered services. The sentiment concludes with a call to "bring back managers that care about where they live and are approachable and pleasant to deal with," underscoring the significant impact of on-site, engaged management on the overall park experience.
In contrast, another review from a guest who stayed for five months presents a more positive perspective. This reviewer found the then-current managers to be "kind" and creating a "welcoming environment." They acknowledge that the park is "small and has few amenities" but highlight its affordability compared to other parks in the area. The presence of travel nurses and other traveling professionals suggests a diverse community of temporary residents. A significant positive aspect mentioned is the park's dog-friendly policy and the absence of an age limit, making it an inclusive option compared to the many 55+ RV parks in the region. This reviewer indicated a willingness to stay again if they return to the Mesa area.
Considering these varying perspectives, the features and potential services of Tumbleweed RV Apache Junction can be summarized as:
- Potentially affordable pricing compared to other RV parks in the area (as noted by one reviewer).
- Dog-friendly environment with no apparent restrictions on breed or size.
- No age restrictions, making it suitable for a diverse range of RV travelers.
- A history of positive, on-site management that fostered a welcoming atmosphere (as per past experiences).
- Currently under new management, which has raised concerns about security and the absence of promised amenities like a gated entrance and laundry facility.
- Limited amenities compared to some other RV parks in the region (e.g., no mention of a pool or full-time security).
- A community that has included traveling professionals, suggesting a transient but potentially friendly atmosphere.
Information regarding standard RV park services such as hookups (electricity, water, sewer), restroom and shower facilities, and Wi-Fi is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Tumbleweed RV Apache Junction Reviews
Debbie and Dan were the true managers and heart of this park, creating an enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere.Since it has been under new management. The park feels empty and distant. The manager doesn't live onsite full time, limiting the security and oversight of the parks' comings and goings of strange people. When it was originally conceived, it was supposedly to have a gated entrance and laundry facility. I pay as much for a park that has that, plus full-time security and a pool. The only reason I am here is due to extensive travel and little time to move on. I rely on my neighbors for security and Google cloud services for alarms and surveillance. For the price, the ignorant manager on a power trip, and lack of promised amenities. Please consider alternatives until these shortcomings are rectified without an increase in lot fees. Should be receiving rebates, not increases for services promised and not rendered. Bring back managers that care about where they live and are approachable and pleasant to deal with.
May 03, 2025 · Ben MikelWe stayed at Tumbleweed RV Park for 5 months and had a great experience! The managers are kind and create a welcoming environment. The park is small and has few amenities, but compared to other parks in the area, it’s very affordable. There were a number of travel nurses and other traveling professionals staying there. We loved how dog friendly they were. They did not have any age limit either. A lot of the RV parks in the area are 55+ but not Tumbleweed.we would definitely try to stay here again if we are back in the Mesa area.
Jul 04, 2023 · Alex TuttsI had an urgent need to find a spot to stay, Julie the manager is the kindest and most welcoming I’ve come across. I feel safe with my kids and my dogs in the park and it feels like a small community. I plan to be here for quite some time!
May 19, 2024 · PKU DadTumbleweed RV park is incredible! Although there are not many amenities yet, Dan and Debbie, the managers, make this park feel like home! Very clean and well maintained. We had a three month stay here and never had any issues. We felt safe and enjoyed our time here. Thank you for welcoming us to Tumbleweed! We will be back if we are ever in the area.
May 31, 2023 · timber brownWe stayed here in March and I’m late to get this posted. Our daughter is travel nursing and she and her family are staying here. They also love it! We used a camper from our nephew and stayed for 5 nights with our kids and grandkids all together for first time in months! Debbie and her husband are amazing people, kind, honest and genuine!!! I would highly recommend this place for short or longer term stays! A welcoming and clean park. Thank you for taking such good care of us!! Hope to see you again!
