Turtle Lake RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Cleveland, Texas area, Turtle Lake RV Park, located at 3696 US-59, is one option you might encounter. To provide a detailed and objective introduction, it's crucial to consider the available feedback from individuals who have experienced this park firsthand. The reviews present a concerning picture that potential guests should carefully evaluate.
One past visitor noted that Turtle Lake RV Park "used to be a nice place" but expressed disappointment over significant changes. According to this feedback, the park removed "all the trees and the rv spots that were shaded" to expand the flea market. This alteration has reportedly transformed the environment around the ponds from a potentially pleasant, shaded area into a "big hot sun pit with tons of flea market tables." This change in landscape could be a significant drawback for RVers seeking a natural and comfortable outdoor setting with shade.
The integration of a flea market appears to be a major feature of Turtle Lake RV Park now, but it has elicited negative reactions. The reviewer describes the flea market as "a nightmare" and anticipates difficulties in navigating the area on weekends due to its presence "literally right at the rest doors." While a flea market might be considered a unique feature by some, this feedback suggests it significantly detracts from the RV park experience, potentially causing congestion and disrupting the peace and quiet that RVers often seek.
Perhaps the most alarming feedback concerns the safety and well-being of pets at Turtle Lake RV Park. One deeply distressing review strongly advises against bringing dogs to the park, stating, "IF YOU HAVE DOGS DO NOT COME HERE !!!! they have a baddd case of parvo." The reviewer recounts the tragic loss of their puppy within three days, alleging that they were not informed about the presence of parvovirus on the property. Parvovirus is a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease for dogs, especially puppies. The accusation that the park management "failed to tell me their yard has parvo!!!!" is extremely serious and raises significant concerns about the park's responsibility towards the health and safety of its guests' pets.
Adding to this grave concern, the reviewer describes feeling ignored by the management ("Donna") for days following their puppy's death and alleges rude and disrespectful treatment. The refusal to assist with cremation and the need to approach the manager's "front step" to get attention further underscore a deeply negative experience. The reviewer also tragically mentions losing newborn puppies due to the conditions at the park, stating, "because of this park i did not only loose one dog but i lost MY NEW BORN PUPPIES ALSO. they ARE BY FAR THE WORST RV PARK IVE CAME ACROSS…" This feedback paints a dire picture for pet owners considering a stay at Turtle Lake RV Park.
It is important to note that the reviewer who mentioned the removal of trees and the flea market did state that their family, who apparently resides at the park, "does like the manager." This suggests that experiences with the management may vary. However, the severity of the allegations regarding parvovirus and the handling of the situation cannot be easily dismissed.
Considering the services and features, the information available online is limited and heavily overshadowed by the negative reviews. The removal of trees, which previously provided shade around the RV spots and ponds, suggests a potential reduction in the natural amenities that RVers often value. The addition of a large flea market, while a distinctive feature, appears to have come at the expense of the park's natural environment and the tranquility of the RV sites. Information regarding standard RV park amenities such as hookups, restrooms, laundry facilities, or recreational areas is not detailed in the provided reviews. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the environmental changes and the deeply concerning issue of parvovirus.
There is no promotional information available in the provided text. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any special offers, discounts, or long-term stay options that Turtle Lake RV Park might be advertising. Potential guests would need to contact the park directly to inquire about pricing and availability.
In conclusion, while Turtle Lake RV Park is listed as an option for "RV parks near me" in Cleveland, Texas, the recent feedback raises significant concerns. The removal of trees and the expansion of the flea market have reportedly detracted from the natural appeal of the park. Most alarmingly, the serious allegations regarding a parvovirus outbreak and the management's handling of the situation, including the tragic death of a guest's puppy and newborn puppies, should give any potential guest, especially those traveling with pets, significant pause. While one past visitor mentioned their family liking the manager, the gravity of the other review cannot be ignored. Before considering a stay at Turtle Lake RV Park, it is strongly recommended to seek further information, inquire directly about the current health and safety conditions for pets, and carefully weigh the potential drawbacks highlighted in the available feedback.

Turtle Lake RV Park Reviews
Used to be a nice place until they took out all the trees and the rv spots that were shaded to add more flea market. The flea market is a nightmare good luck getting through on the weekends. Now it's literally right at the rest doors. No more trees around the ponds just a big hot sun pit with tons of flea market tables (no your records will not indicate im a guest, have family there and live down the road) i can say that the family does like the manager.

Dec 29, 2024 · Kelesa & Jason williamsI've been staying here now since October '22 & nothings been stolen, no problems whatsoever from anyone; straight up caretakers and staff have been nothing but good to me in every way. Neighbors are helpful. I'm an RV newbie so nearby RV'rs helped me get my rig in & set up and all. It's now April '23 and I'm content as can be. Watch out for the mommy ducks & babies crossing the roads, it's 5 MPH inside the park!
