Based on guest experiences, Victoria Coleto Lake RV Resort boasts a visually appealing property characterized by numerous mature trees and expansive grounds. One guest who stayed in our luxury cabins specifically highlighted the neatness of the entire property and the surprising quietness, especially during the night, offering a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Houston. The abundance of wildlife, including frequent sightings of deer and various bird species, further enhances the natural charm and peaceful ambiance of the resort. This makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers seeking a relaxing getaway.
In addition to our RV sites, we also offer luxury cabins for those seeking an alternative accommodation option. These cabins provide a comfortable and well-appointed base from which to explore the resort and the surrounding area. The spaciousness of the property ensures that guests can enjoy a sense of privacy and freedom during their stay.
While many guests have lauded the peaceful environment and natural beauty of Victoria Coleto Lake RV Resort, it's important to present a comprehensive picture based on all available feedback. One guest expressed concerns regarding the availability and maintenance of the public restrooms. They noted that while the resort has multiple bathroom facilities, only two were reportedly open during their stay. This guest also raised concerns about potential blame being directed towards children in case of any issues with these facilities and mentioned challenges with the functionality of some bathroom features, including doors not closing properly, a see-through shower curtain in one bathroom, inconsistent hot water in one shower, and a non-functioning fan in another. These points highlight areas where some guests have experienced dissatisfaction.
The same guest also shared their experience regarding garbage disposal, noting a discrepancy between the advertised service of garbage pick-up and the expectation that pet owners would dispose of their pets' waste themselves. Additionally, they perceived a difference in treatment between long-term repeat visitors and those staying for work-related reasons, suggesting a less welcoming environment for the latter and for families with children. Concerns were also raised about fire ants being present on benches throughout the property, requiring caution when using them. Furthermore, this guest recounted incidents of a tree falling and blocking the road (which their spouse reportedly had to clear partially) and a burst pipe causing flooding in their area, with a perceived lack of adequate response or acknowledgement from the staff.
The guest specifically mentioned feeling that their family, due to having children, was viewed as an inconvenience. They cited an instance where their children were allegedly blamed for locking bathroom doors that the guest believed were deadbolted from the top and prone to not closing properly. The guest expressed a desire for direct communication from management regarding any concerns before assumptions were made. This feedback suggests potential inconsistencies in guest experience and areas where communication and customer service could be improved, particularly concerning families with children and those staying for reasons other than leisure.
In conclusion, Victoria Coleto Lake RV Resort offers a picturesque and potentially tranquil setting with spacious grounds, mature trees, abundant wildlife, and the option of staying in luxury cabins. The quiet nighttime environment and natural beauty have been positively highlighted by some guests. However, it's important to consider all feedback, including concerns raised about the availability and maintenance of public restrooms, waste disposal policies for pet owners, perceived differences in guest treatment, issues with fire ants, infrastructure incidents, and the overall experience for families with children. Prospective guests should weigh these factors when considering Victoria Coleto Lake RV Resort for their "RV parks near me" search in the Victoria, TX area and perhaps inquire directly with the resort about the current status of amenities and policies to ensure it meets their specific needs and expectations.

Victoria Coleto Lake RV Resort Reviews
Stayed in one of the luxury cabins and enjoyed my time. The entire property is neat with lots of trees and very spacious. I was surprised with how quiet it was during the night! It was a peaceful change coming from Houston. I even saw lots of deer and various birds. Lovely stay all around. 10/10 recommend to anyone considering staying in this area.
Sep 27, 2023 · Reina SandovalThis place looks better in photos. They have so many bathrooms yet only open 2 of them and god forbid something happens to those because if you have kids they will blame them for it. They say they pick up the garbage for you but if you have dogsYour expected to throw that away yourself. They are nicer to the people that go there every year then to the ones that stay there for work reasons not a kid friendly place. Be careful where you sit because all the benches and full of fire ants. While we stayed here we had a tree completely fall to which it blocked the road which was left there for awhile until my husband went to cut branches off to clear the road for them and he didn’t even receive a thank you the pipe behind us bursted which flooded our area. Not the best crew of workers being all they want to do is drive around pick up garbage and cut the grass.. my children where blamed For locking the bathroom doors yet it was dead bolted from the top twice the bathrooms doors don’t close properly so make sure it’s locked correctly especially being that one of the bathroom shower curtains is see threw one of the showers only stays warm for a fewMinutes one of the bathrooms fans does not work and where blamed For flooding the bathroom floor yet anyone can use there shower rooms I believe there not use to having people use there public bathrooms and not use to actually have to clean them even though they have a lady that does the cleaning I honestly felt like we were a inconvenience for this place due to having kids. If they had any beliefs of my kids doing these things he could of came and spoken to me before assuming because he couldn’t imagine anyone else doing these things just my family after speaking to him.. being that we choose to part right next to the bathrooms to be able to keep a close eye on my kids when heading to the bathroom which are 9-12 years olds the pot holes are horrible update we moved to a rv park closer to my husbands job she’s very sweet and is trulyKid friendly quiet big gravel space with cows and a donkey that come visit
Feb 24, 2024 · Monique Fitness journey loveThis was our first time at this park we stayed at the RV area by the water for 2 days. The staff was great, the park was well kept the public restrooms were very clean. The views were beautiful by the lake and we had many deer sightings everytime we left the park. Our toddler grandson was able to to play and enjoy the water with the rest of us as the water is not too deep on the edges, so that was a plus for us. Lots of jet skies, boats, floats. They have a no wake area so those in water won't be disturbed. Overall will definitely be going back.
Aug 10, 2022 · E CasAbsolutely loved it here!!!! Everyday between 8am-3pm they drive around on golf carts and pick up your trash and will pick up and refill your propane. The laundry room is kept immaculate and nice and cold. There is a nature trail that leads to a pond with tables and chairs around it. The grass everywhere is very well kept. All the picnic tables are freshly painted and on a concrete slab. 5-8pm there is a restaurant open in back of the park. We tried the pizza, boneless wings and chili cheese fries all was delicious! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this very nice park.
Sep 11, 2020 · Elizabeth CastilloWe enjoyed our stay at Victoria Coleto Lake RV Resort. They have very nice full hookup, pull-through sites. The laundry facilities are very clean at a reasonable price. The dog park is great, and I enjoyed walking the nature trail. They pickup trash and also fill up propane. Overall, we had a fantastic stay.
