Village Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" that offer long-term residency for seniors, or are you considering a mobile home park in Centralia, Washington? Village Park, located at 1313 Harrison Ave, Centralia, WA 98531, USA, is presented as a 55-year and older community. While no phone number is provided in the available information, the address can be used for inquiries.
When exploring "RV parks near me" that cater to the 55+ demographic or considering a mobile home park for long-term living, factors such as cost, maintenance, community environment, and adherence to advertised age restrictions are important considerations. Village Park has received feedback from residents highlighting both concerns about its decline and a neutral observation from a potential buyer.
One long-term resident, who has lived in Village Park for nearly six years, expresses disappointment in the park's perceived decline over time. A significant concern raised is the consistent annual increase in space rent, which has reportedly doubled for this resident since moving in. This suggests a trend of rising costs for residents, potentially impacting those on fixed incomes, which is common in 55+ communities.
The same long-term resident also points out that a 55-year and older park "should provide the lawn maintenance," implying that this service is either lacking or not consistently provided. This lack of expected maintenance can contribute to a decline in the park's overall appearance and the quality of life for residents.
Furthermore, the reviewer notes a change in the park's atmosphere, stating that there was "never much disturbance or ruckus until the end of 2023 early 2024 when there were several new dogs moved in." These new dogs are described as "loud" and barking "almost constantly," significantly impacting the peace and quiet that is often valued in senior living communities. This suggests a potential issue with enforcing pet policies or a change in the overall resident demographic that is affecting the tranquility of the park.
The long-term resident concludes by stating that Village Park now "feels more like a trailer park than a mobile home park," indicating a perceived deterioration in the community's standards and environment from what was expected of a 55+ mobile home park.
In contrast to this detailed negative review from a long-term resident, another review offers a brief and somewhat unrelated observation from someone who was shown a property within Village Park. This reviewer notes that despite the realtor "claiming that multiple offers were on the table" (which they found questionable as the property remained on the market weeks later), they were shown the place, acknowledging that the realtor did their job of showing the property. This review does not directly comment on the park's environment, services, or features but rather on the sales tactics of a realtor, offering limited insight into the community itself.
Based on the available reviews, Village Park presents a concerning picture for those seeking a 55+ mobile home park or considering "RV parks near me" that offer long-term residency in Centralia, Washington. Key issues raised by a long-term resident include:
- Increasing Space Rent: Annual increases have led to a significant doubling of rent over six years.
- Lack of Expected Lawn Maintenance: A perceived lack of provided lawn care, which is often expected in senior communities.
- Noise Issues: The introduction of several new, loud, and constantly barking dogs has disrupted the peace.
- Perceived Decline in Standards: The park is now described as feeling more like a trailer park than a mobile home park.
The second review offers no direct information about the park's living conditions or management.
When considering a 55+ mobile home park, typical services and features often include:
- Individual lots for mobile homes
- Utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer)
- Road maintenance and upkeep of common areas
- Lawn maintenance (often expected in senior parks)
- Potentially community amenities such as clubhouses, laundry facilities, or recreational areas (not mentioned in these reviews)
- Enforcement of age restrictions and community rules to ensure a peaceful environment
The negative review for Village Park suggests potential shortcomings in lawn maintenance and the enforcement of rules regarding noise from pets, which are important aspects of a comfortable living environment in a 55+ community.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" that offer long-term mobile home residency for seniors in Centralia, Washington, Village Park presents several red flags based on the experience of a long-term resident. The increasing rent, lack of expected maintenance, and noise issues are significant concerns that prospective residents should carefully consider.
Prospective residents should take the following steps to gather more information before making any decisions about Village Park:
- Attempting to contact the park management (perhaps through the address provided) to inquire about current space rent, policies on rent increases, and services included (such as lawn maintenance).
- Specifically asking about the park's pet policies and how noise from animals is managed.
- Inquiring about any amenities offered within the park, such as a clubhouse or recreational facilities.
- If possible, visiting the park in person to assess the overall environment, the upkeep of the grounds, and the level of noise.
- Attempting to speak with current residents (if feasible) to get a broader range of opinions and experiences beyond the one negative review available online.
- Checking for any more recent reviews online that might provide an updated perspective on the park's conditions and management.
As a platform providing information on "RV parks near me" and related residential options, it is our aim to present an objective view based on the available feedback. Lived here going on 6 years. Sad to watch the place decline like it has been. Space rent is increased yearly without fail. Mine alone has doubled since I moved here. A 55 year and older park should provide the lawn maintenance and there was never much disturbance or ruckus until the end of 2023 early 2024 when there were several new dogs moved in. They are loud and bark almost constantly. It feels more like a trailer park than a mobile home park
Sep 10, 2024 · Lawrence SkeieAside from claiming that multiple offers were on the table (yet it's still on the market? Weeks later?) we were shown the place and so they did do their job of showing the property.
Apr 30, 2024 · Freak ShowCute little 55+ mobile home park. My late Grandmother lived here for a few years before she recently passed. Quiet, close to lots of shopping, food, medical.
