Vista RV Community Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Princeton, Texas area that provide a secure and amenity-rich living experience? Consider Vista RV Community, located at 2299 FM982, Princeton, TX 75407, USA. This gated community offers a range of features and services designed for both short and long-term residents seeking a comfortable and engaging environment. Based on a collection of recent reviews, Vista RV Community presents a mixed but overall positive picture, highlighting its cleanliness, concrete infrastructure, and strong community spirit, while also noting some areas for potential improvement.
One reviewer who rented Site #354 for several months provided a detailed account of their experience, noting both positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, they acknowledged that the park is "overall a clean park that has concrete pads and optional covered parking." These are significant advantages for RV owners, as concrete pads offer a stable and level foundation, while covered parking can provide valuable protection from the elements, extending the lifespan of the RV and enhancing comfort. However, this reviewer also raised concerns regarding management consistency in enforcing rules, citing an instance where a neighbor burned treated lumber in their fire pit under a covered area, close to their RV, causing unbearable smoke. While management initially addressed the issue, it reportedly recurred, and the reviewer expressed disappointment in the subsequent handling, alleging favoritism and a lack of accountability. They also mentioned a neighbor's dogs barking frequently. It is important to note this reviewer's specific experience at Site #354.
In contrast, another resident expressed strong positive feelings, stating, "We love our Vista RV community!" They highlighted the gated nature of the park and the all-concrete construction with options for covered and uncovered sites as key benefits. This resident also emphasized the friendly atmosphere among most residents, who enjoy socializing with their neighbors. A significant aspect contributing to the community feel, according to this review, is the owners' kindness in providing food for special get-togethers, which "really strengthens the sense of community." This suggests a proactive effort by the ownership to foster a positive and connected environment within the park.
Further enhancing the appeal of Vista RV Community are its notable amenities. As mentioned by one long-term resident, the park boasts "great amenities: a laundry room, gym, putting green, playground, and a newly added pool!" These facilities cater to a variety of needs and interests, providing conveniences for daily living, opportunities for recreation and exercise, and spaces for children to play. The addition of a pool is a significant enhancement, particularly appealing during the hot Texas summers. While this resident expressed a desire for a storm shelter and a pickleball court, noting that most activities seem geared toward a younger demographic, they also affirmed having "lots of friends here and really enjoy our time together," reinforcing the positive community aspect.
Addressing the concerns raised in the earlier negative review, the long-term resident also offered a different perspective on the park management. They stated that "the park manager is proactive and does a great job handling any situations that come up." This suggests a difference in experience or perspective regarding management responsiveness and effectiveness. The resident further noted that "the resident mentioned in a previous review is no longer here," implying that the specific issues encountered by that individual may have been addressed or are no longer relevant. This highlights the dynamic nature of community living and park management.
Overall, Vista RV Community presents itself as a well-equipped and community-oriented RV park in the Princeton, TX area. The gated entry provides an added layer of security, a significant consideration for many RV owners. The concrete pads and optional covered parking offer practical benefits for the longevity and comfort of RVs. The array of amenities, including the laundry room, gym, putting green, playground, and the new pool, cater to a diverse range of needs and interests, enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The strong sense of community, fostered by friendly residents and the owners' efforts to organize social gatherings, is a significant draw for those seeking more than just a place to park their RV. The emphasis on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment can make a substantial difference, especially for long-term residents looking to establish a sense of home.
While one reviewer highlighted concerns about inconsistent rule enforcement and perceived favoritism, it is crucial to consider the broader context provided by other residents who praise the management's proactivity and the overall positive community atmosphere. As with any shared living environment, individual experiences can vary. The fact that the resident who raised those specific concerns is no longer at the park suggests that the situation may have been resolved or was unique to that particular experience.
For those specifically searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a secure, amenity-rich, and community-focused living experience in the Princeton, TX area, Vista RV Community is definitely worth considering. The combination of practical infrastructure like concrete pads and optional covered parking, appealing amenities such as the pool and gym, and the reported strong sense of community creates a compelling offer. The gated entry provides peace of mind regarding security.

Vista RV Community Reviews
Rented Site #354 for a few months. The Good: overall a clean park that has concrete pads and optional covered parking. The BAD: The management is inconsistent with enforcing rules and plays the political favorite game. Example; one of our neighbors decided to burn TREATED lumber in their outdoor fire pit. The fire pit was under the covered portion of their site and less than 10ft from our coach. The smoke from the fire was unbearable inside our coach. We brought it to managements attention and they initially took care of it. It happened a SECOND time and management chose to blame a different neighbor who was grilling dinner. When I requested a meeting with the manager and the owners of the park, only the manager showed up and during our meeting she essentially stated that it was my fault and that I should be able to handle it myself. This manager frequently spends time with and hangs out on my neighbors site. Very discouraging and disappointed in how this was handled. This particular neighbor also has dogs that bark frequently throughout the day and night. Takeaway: If you rent here do not rent site #354.
Nov 24, 2024 · Sam StarteriWe love our Vista RV community! It’s a gated, all-concrete park with options for both covered and uncovered sites. As full-time residents, we’d love to see a storm shelter and a pickleball court added, especially since most activities are geared toward the younger generation. That said, we have lots of friends here and really enjoy our time together. The park manager is proactive and does a great job handling any situations that come up. Some people may not always see what goes on behind the scenes—and that’s okay. The resident mentioned in a previous review is no longer here.If you’re looking for a full-time place to call home, I highly recommend checking out Vista RV. You won’t be disappointed.
May 04, 2025 · Sandra StaleyMy family really enjoyed our time (5 months) at Vista RV Community (Site 205). You will not find a better priced COVERED RV spot this close to the east side of Dallas. This is a newly renovated RV resort with some amenities still in progress (playground and possibly a pool). When we first moved in, they had some old tenants that were rough around the edges however the staff was quick to remove them since they did not follow the new rules. When these individuals left, they left the bad reviews that you see below.Amenities - The park is gated and fully concrete with several speed bumps and street lighting throughout the park. The outdoor recreation area is amazing with a huge raised cooking fire pit and a solo stove with comfortable chairs. This area also has a putting green and several tables. There is a workout area and laundry room that is always kept clean. Each site has a storage shed which really comes in handy when you are full time. This park has 2 dog parks, 1 of the dog parks is split and has an area for smaller dogs. This area is well maintained by staff and there are supplied dog bags and waste baskets. Every week a professional mowing crew maintains the grounds to keep it looking great.Staff - I was shocked to see the owners show up as often as they do. You can really tell they have put their hearts into making this place great. They always decorated for the season or holidays and it really made this place feel like home. The park manager Renee (referred to as the Karen in some older comments) is the right person to manage this place. Renee has really done an amazing job enforcing rules and is always very helpful and responsive. Once this place opened, we had difficulties getting our mail due to USPS, Renee worked constantly to have this issue resolved quickly. I strongly believe Renee and the owners really want to see the majority of this place being long term community that you can call home. Dan was an original tenant and is now responsible for maintaining the ground. Dan does a great job when people leave that were long term, he power washes the sites and gets them ready for the next person. Dan keeps the common areas clean and well maintained. While I was having issues with USPS, sometimes my mail would be delivered to the business mailbox. Dan would make sure to hand deliver my mail to me. Dan is a really good person and I was impressed by how hard he works and cares about the RV park.We left due to buying a home in the area. Our family really enjoyed our time here and hated to leave. THANK YOU!!!

Mar 26, 2024 · Michael LaneWe went to check out this place. Honestly, it looks nice, clean, but the spots didn't have any kind of yard for each spot. So if you have a pet, not much grass to go on. There are covered spots. Golf putt. It has a workout room. Washer and dryer room, but it didn't have a shower. That was the deal breaker for us.
