Watkins Campground Reviews
This was a great place to stop for the night on our RV travels! Right off Interstate 85, Exit 209 in NC. All we needed was electric for the night and the owner was so sweet to have us! Jim Johnson was amazing! Made sure we knew how to get there and also made sure we were set up. It had snowed and the snow was melting so he allowed us to park in the snow to keep our RV clean. We plugged up and off we went in the morning! We never needed anything else as we are self contained. On top of the easy on an off of 85 we had to pass through a gate to get to our spot, which made sleeping so much easier. Google maps is not updated yet to show the true RV parking, but I'm sure it will be soon. If you need a place to stay for the night and just need electric THIS IS PERFECT!! Cant wait to come back through and stay again! Thanks Jim for everything, see you again! Lisa and Gary
Feb 08, 2025 · Lisa BlevinsWe stayed here 9 days and could not be more pleased. Mr. Johnson is the nicest, most upstanding owner! In the midst of renovation he was not able to provide sewage hook up but promised to empty us on request which he did, always in a timely manner. We spent most of our time with family in Wake Forest and never worried about the safety of our RV while gone. The campground is clean and safe and once the renovations (full hook up and large lots) is finished will be a gem in this quiet, peaceful wooded area. Good WiFi!We will definitely stay here in the future! Thanks again, Mr. Johnson❣️
Sep 20, 2024 · Craig HarbertThe owner is a pleasure to communicate with. The community is small and everyone looks out for one another. It may not be near the lake but it's a nice, safe space I would recommend to anyone wanting something long or short term.
Oct 18, 2024 · KomikoBusy overnight. Would not recommend for light sleepers. Owner is very kind and helpful.
