Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park Introduce
Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park, located at 5325 Classic Ln, Platteville, WI 53818, USA, serves as a residential community for manufactured homes. When discussing this property within the context of "RV Parks Near Me," it is important to clarify the distinction. RV parks are typically geared towards short-term stays for recreational vehicles, offering specific hookups and amenities for transient travelers. Mobile home parks, like Woodland Terrace, are designed for long-term, permanent residency in manufactured homes. However, for individuals or families seeking affordable, long-term living solutions, or a stable base for larger mobile structures that are more akin to manufactured homes than traditional RVs, a mobile home park might appear in a broader search for "RV Parks Near Me." This introduction will objectively assess Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park based on available information, including direct customer feedback.
Platteville, Wisconsin, offers a blend of small-town charm with access to essential services and educational institutions, most notably the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. The area is characterized by its scenic driftless region landscape, providing a generally pleasant natural environment. While Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park is situated off Highway 151, which can present a "little hassle trying to maneuver into this complex" due to its direct proximity, it suggests convenient access to major transportation routes, facilitating travel to and from the area. The overall environment within the park, as described by residents, appears to be mixed, with varying levels of property upkeep.
The environment within Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park is a significant point of discussion in resident reviews. One review states, "Some people keep their property up, and some don't," indicating a lack of consistent aesthetic standards across the park. This suggests that while individual residents might maintain their lots diligently, there isn't a uniformly enforced standard for property appearance by the park management or owner. The review further describes some homes as "run down, raggedy trailer homes which are overpriced and neglected by the owner." This directly impacts the visual appeal and perceived quality of the living environment. Conversely, another review states, "This is a better park to live in than others in the area," suggesting that despite perceived shortcomings, it might offer advantages compared to some other local options. The mix of upkeep levels contributes to a varied environmental experience for residents.
In terms of services, mobile home parks generally provide essential infrastructure for manufactured homes. This typically includes the rental of individual lots, with residents often owning their manufactured homes. Utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity connections are standard, with residents typically responsible for their usage and setting up accounts with local providers. Professional management is a key service expected in any mobile home park, responsible for enforcing park rules, maintaining common areas, and addressing resident concerns. However, the reviews for Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park specifically touch upon the quality of this service. One resident explicitly states, "Property management should do better. By your residence that's paying you their good hard earned money." This implies a perceived lack of attentiveness or care from the management regarding the overall condition of the park and the well-being of its residents.
Features of Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park, as gleaned from the reviews, include both positives and drawbacks. A significant positive is that "lot rent is reasonable," which is a crucial factor for individuals seeking affordable housing. This affordability often makes mobile home parks an attractive alternative to traditional stick-built homes or apartment living. The presence of "many rules" suggests a structured environment, and for some residents, adhering to these rules leads to a positive experience: "If you follow all of the many rules the owners are descent to the tenants." This indicates that adherence to park regulations is key to maintaining a good relationship with management and enjoying residency. However, a notable drawback for families is the "no common area or park area" for children. This lack of recreational space within the park itself means families with kids would need to seek out public parks or other recreational facilities outside the community. Furthermore, the park is described as being "5 -7 min from town by highway," which, while indicating proximity, also implies a need for transportation to access town amenities.
For those searching "RV Parks Near Me" with an interest in longer-term living, Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park offers an insight into the realities of manufactured home communities. While it does not cater to transient RVs, it presents an option for individuals who own a manufactured home or are considering purchasing one for long-term residency. The affordability of lot rent is a significant draw that aligns with the cost-saving motivation often associated with RV living. However, potential residents from the "RV Parks Near Me" category would need to consider the noted issues of varying property upkeep and the perceived lack of owner/management care. The absence of common recreational areas, often a feature in RV parks, is also a distinction to note.
Promotional information for Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park, if crafted based on its positive attributes, would likely highlight its reasonable lot rent and its potential as a more affordable housing solution compared to traditional homes. It might emphasize the structured environment provided by park rules and the potential for a stable, long-term residence. However, an objective introduction must also acknowledge the concerns raised by residents, particularly regarding property aesthetics and management attentiveness. The direct customer feedback regarding "run down, raggedy trailer homes which are overpriced and neglected by the owner" would challenge any promotional efforts focused solely on quality or aesthetic appeal.
The sentiment from residents that "there are better mobile home parks around the area, where the property management or the owner cares about how it looks" and "I don't blame them " is a critical piece of information. It suggests that while the park might offer affordability, there are perceived deficiencies in management and property maintenance that are driving residents to consider alternatives. This directly impacts the long-term desirability and stability of the community for potential new residents.
In summary, Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park in Platteville, WI, offers an affordable living option for manufactured home owners, characterized by reasonable lot rent and a structured rule set. Its location off Highway 151 provides relatively easy access to town, albeit with a short drive. However, customer reviews highlight significant concerns regarding the inconsistent upkeep of properties, the perceived neglect by the owner/management, and the absence of common recreational areas for children. For local users, and particularly for those searching "RV Parks Near Me" who are considering a permanent manufactured home solution, these factors are crucial for a balanced understanding of what living at Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park might entail. Prospective residents are advised to conduct thorough personal visits and inquire directly about property maintenance standards and management responsiveness. The contact numbers for the park are (608) 348-7689 and +1 608-348-7689.

Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park Reviews
This place is not that good of a place to live. Some people keep their property up, and some don't. Could be a little hassle trying to maneuver into this complex as it is right off 151 highway. There are better mobile home parks around the area, where the property management or the owner cares about how it looks. Well, this owner doesn't, as these are run down, raggedy trailer homes which are overpriand and neglected by the owner. I do know a couple of people who live here who are good people who are deciding to move out. I don't blame them. Property management should do better. By your residence that's paying you their good hard earned money.
May 16, 2024 · Keenon MorrisThis is a better park to live in than others in the area. If you follow all of the many rules the owners are descent to the tenants and lot rent is reasonable. Draw back: when you have kids there is no common area or park area and is 5 -7 min from town by highway.
Dec 29, 2016 · James HammillWould leave no stars. The nosy park host questioned a different name on email...cried about it to owners who still took the 15$ background fee only to come back very snotty like... mention the email address and deny application. Different name was used due to convicted stalker...don't move to woodland terrace...the park host is a nosy busy body!!! (not words I wanted to use)
Aug 05, 2020 · Jeff AndersonThe place is extraordinary really run down. Not updated not maintained not up to code. And the prices they charge for apartments out there or trailers are far too expensive for how run down they are
