Woods Creek Mobile Home Park Introduce
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Jamestown, California area, Woods Creek Mobile Home Park presents itself as an option that elicits varied feedback. Located at 18725 CA-108 SPC 1, Jamestown, CA 95327, USA, this park caters to both mobile home residents and RV travelers. For inquiries or to discuss potential stays, you can reach them at (209) 984-3728 or via mobile at +1 209-984-3728. Given the differing perspectives in the provided reviews, it's crucial to offer a balanced and objective introduction to help prospective visitors make informed decisions.
The park's location in Jamestown places it in an area known for its Gold Rush history and proximity to various outdoor activities in the Sierra Nevada foothills. This makes it a potentially convenient stop for travelers exploring the region. The park itself appears to have distinct sections, catering to different types of residents, which influences the overall environment and experience. One review specifically highlights two different areas: an "upper area that appears to be for semi permanent and permanent people" and a "lower area for RV's." This differentiation suggests that the environment might vary depending on where one is situated within the park.
In terms of the environment, the positive review describes the RV sections favorably. The "higher area" for semi-permanent residents is noted as "paved and level," which is a desirable characteristic for RV parking, ensuring ease of setup. The "actual area for RV's down lower" also received praise for having a "very good site, level and plenty of room." This indicates that the park provides well-maintained and spacious sites for RVers, allowing for comfortable stays. The presence of "forest behind the park" near some sites suggests a natural and potentially serene backdrop for campers. However, it's essential to contrast this with a less favorable review that describes the surrounding environment as having "crackheads all around," which presents a starkly different and concerning view of the general vicinity or certain areas of the park. This suggests that while the RV sites themselves may be well-kept, the broader perception of safety and community outside of those immediate areas could be an issue for some.
Regarding services, Woods Creek Mobile Home Park offers essential amenities for RV travelers. The positive review confirms "full hook ups with cable" in the upper area, and the hookups "worked fine" in the lower RV area. This indicates that guests can expect reliable access to electricity, water, sewer, and potentially entertainment options. A particularly strong point highlighted is the responsiveness of the staff; the manager was proactive in fixing a non-working cable connection "right then and there." This level of immediate customer service is highly valued by RVers. Furthermore, the bathrooms and showers were tried out by a guest and found to be "working well, very clean and warm (it was winter)," indicating that these communal facilities are well-maintained and comfortable, even in colder weather. The "staff was very nice and helpful," which speaks to a positive interpersonal experience with park personnel. The unique offer by staff to "pan for gold under the bridge out front and found a little color!" adds a distinctive, value-added service, enhancing the recreational aspect of a stay.
The features of Woods Creek Mobile Home Park contribute to its appeal for specific types of travelers. The "large site" in the higher area and "plenty of room" in the lower RV area are significant features, offering comfort and privacy. The availability of full hookups, including cable, meets standard RV park expectations. The cleanliness and warmth of the bathrooms and showers are also important features, particularly during colder seasons. The park's management appears to be a mixed bag, with one reviewer praising "The guy that runs the place on day to day" as a "good guy," while another criticizes "owners are liars cheating on Verbal deals." This discrepancy suggests potential differences between daily operational staff and higher-level ownership, or perhaps a change in management over time. The pet-friendly nature of the park is implied by the general context of RV parks, though not explicitly stated in the reviews. The recreational opportunity of gold panning nearby, facilitated by park staff, is a unique and engaging feature for visitors interested in local history and activities.
From a promotional standpoint, the park's positive attributes, such as well-maintained, level, and spacious sites with full hookups, clean and warm facilities, and helpful staff, are strong selling points. The ability to accommodate both short-term RV stays and potentially semi-permanent residents broadens its appeal. The historical and recreational opportunities in the surrounding Jamestown area also serve as an indirect promotion for the park as a base for exploration. However, the promotional message is complicated by the negative review which provides a stark warning, stating "Would only recommend if you have zero choices on living accommodations" due to concerns about "crackheads all around" and alleged issues with "owners are liars cheating on Verbal deals." This directly contradicts the positive experiences and could deter potential guests. The positive review, however, directly recommends the park, saying "I recommend this park, its sometimes hard to get a space but it is worth it." This suggests that despite potential difficulties in securing a spot, the experience is generally positive and desirable for those who do manage to stay. The promotional takeaway is therefore nuanced: for those prioritizing reliable amenities, clean facilities, and friendly daily staff, and who are able to secure a space, it appears to be a good option. However, for those with concerns about the broader community or long-term contractual agreements, further investigation might be warranted.
In conclusion, Woods Creek Mobile Home Park, located at 18725 CA-108 SPC 1, Jamestown, CA 95327, USA, with contact numbers (209) 984-3728 and +1 209-984-3728, offers a varied experience for those searching for "RV parks near me." The park provides well-maintained, level, and spacious RV sites with full hookups, including cable. Its facilities, such as bathrooms and showers, are noted for their cleanliness and warmth. The daily operational staff are described as friendly and helpful, even facilitating unique local experiences like gold panning. These features make it a recommended stop for many RV travelers seeking reliable amenities and a comfortable stay. However, potential long-term residents or those highly sensitive to surrounding community dynamics should note the significant negative feedback regarding external influences and ownership practices. For short-term RV stays, particularly those prioritizing functional amenities and helpful on-site staff, Woods Creek Mobile Home Park appears to offer a worthwhile, albeit sometimes challenging to secure, experience in the Jamestown area.

Jul 13, 2024 · Peter EnckeWe have stayed here twice and both times we had a great stay. The first time was in a class c and we stayed up in the higher area that appears to be for semi permanent and permanent people. It was paved and level, had full hook ups with cable. The manager who was there helping us saw that the cable wasn't working and fixed it right then and there. It was a large site and near the forest behind the park. The second time we stayed in the actual area for RV's down lower. We had a very good site, level and plenty of room. The hookups worked fine and enjoyed this park very much. My wife did try out the bathrooms and showers and said they were working well, very clean and warm (it was winter). I recommend this park, its sometimes hard to get a space but it is worth it. The staff was very nice and helpful. He let us pan for gold under the bridge out front and found a little color!
Aug 10, 2021 · Larry HaberkernBeautiful lots up on the hill. Don't let the narrow seedy-looking entrance fool you. This is a well-kept trailer park with several RV spots to rent. No cable, but modern hookups and excellent water pressure. Affordable rates and friendly staff.Jamestown is already a great place to stop on your way to Yosemite, and Woods Creek if the place to be if you're on a RV road trip.
Apr 18, 2015 · Sean-Franc StrangEach mobile home is privately owned and taken care of by owners. Visitor parking can be challenging. But because it is for senors to live there its quiet.
Dec 15, 2022 · Jon JorgensenThe management here is honorable and polite and always willing to help. Truly a quiet place to stay but it gets busy quick. Not a lot of extra spots. People like to stay.
