Woody Mountain Campground and Bed & Breakfast Introduce
For local residents and travelers seeking exceptional "RV parks near me" in the Flagstaff, Arizona area, Woody Mountain Campground and Bed & Breakfast, located at 2727 W Rte 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001, USA, offers a compelling blend of natural beauty, convenient amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. Combining the charm of a campground with the added options of a bed and breakfast and unique on-site features, Woody Mountain stands out as a noteworthy destination for RV enthusiasts and those looking for a comfortable stay near Flagstaff.
The environment of Woody Mountain Campground is consistently praised as "GORGEOUS," characterized by "beautiful trees" that likely provide ample shade and a picturesque setting for RV sites. The natural beauty of the location contributes significantly to the overall appeal, offering a tranquil escape from the everyday. Additionally, the campground boasts a "nice little trail to stroll on," providing an opportunity for leisurely walks and enjoying the surrounding nature without having to venture far from your RV site. Despite its proximity to town and convenience stores, Woody Mountain manages to maintain a "very private" feel, allowing guests to enjoy a sense of seclusion and peace amidst the natural beauty. The campground is also situated near a hill, offering opportunities for jogging or hiking for those seeking more active outdoor pursuits.
In terms of services and features, Woody Mountain Campground offers a range of amenities designed to enhance the comfort and convenience of its guests. For families traveling with children, the presence of a "nice playground" is a valuable asset, providing a dedicated space for kids to play and burn off energy. The campground also features a "beautiful interior with shopping, coffee, wine..." This suggests a unique on-site experience beyond traditional camping, where guests can browse local goods, enjoy a cup of coffee, or unwind with a glass of wine without leaving the premises. The "patio is stunning," indicating a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing outdoor space where guests can relax and socialize.
For RVers specifically, Woody Mountain Campground provides essential hookups, although one reviewer mentioned needing a "one night park up with basic hookups" and noted that the venue is "still going through some expansion issues." This suggests that while basic hookups are available, the park may be in the process of upgrading or adding more comprehensive services. The same reviewer highlighted several positive aspects for RV guests, including "friendly" staff, "clean" restrooms, an "easily accessible and clean" dump station, and a laundry room that was "fast and relatively inexpensive." These are crucial amenities for any RV park, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for travelers.
A notable feature that enhances the guest experience is the "ability to self-check-in at night when we had no reservations." This "easy!" self-check-in process provides flexibility for travelers arriving late or without prior booking, streamlining the arrival process and ensuring a smooth start to their stay. This convenience is particularly valuable for those on the road who may have unpredictable arrival times.
While one reviewer noted that the campground was "a tad expensive," they also mentioned that they "may return due to good travel connections." This suggests that the overall positive experience and the convenient location, likely near major routes (as indicated by its address on Route 66), outweigh the slightly higher cost for some travelers. The excellent reviews generally, with one stating there's "no reason this campground shouldn't get a 5 star review with the exception of the WiFi" (implying all other aspects are top-notch), further underscore the quality of Woody Mountain Campground.

Apr 22, 2025 · Vanessa JupeNeeded a one night park up with basic hookups. While this venue has been here for some time, it's still going through some expansion issues. The staff is friendly, the restrooms are clean, the dump station is easily accessible and clean. And the laundry room was fast and relatively inexpensive. And while it was a tad expensive, we may return due to good travel connections.
Apr 27, 2025 · Eddy ProvostPeaceful Forest Getaway with Friendly VibesWoody’s Mountain Campground truly felt like camping in the woods—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. It was the perfect base for day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon, both just an easy drive away.We enjoyed the relaxed vibe of the park—sipping a glass of wine while doing laundry was a nice touch. The laundry room is conveniently located near the camp office, where you can pick up a breakfast sandwich or pastry, and even build your own charcuterie board with items from the shop. The staff were very friendly and made check-in easy. We travel in a 45-foot toy hauler and were able to navigate the park—just a bit slow going due to some small gullies in the road, but definitely manageable.Overall, a great spot to relax and recharge in the woods!
Apr 29, 2025 · EllenSuper clean RV Park in the tall pines. Great little coffee shop and gift shop. Our site was 78. When we first got there the nearby homes felt strange but with the wall and big trees and lots of space it turned out to be a great site, very private. Lots of site options too. Didn't feel like we were in an RV park at all! People are super nice too. Highly recommend!
Apr 23, 2025 · Valerie LovensteinThe gal check-in was very friendly and our camp spot was neat and tidy. The bathrooms were clean. The general store was super cute and had a good selection. And the coffee shop with ample seating (indoor & Outdoor) was a big “perk”!Headed to our “need to come back” list.
