Gulf Coast RV Park Introduce
For local RV enthusiasts searching for “RV parks near me” in the Gulf Shores, Alabama area, Gulf Coast RV Park, located at 5584 Co Rd 6, Gulf Shores, AL 36542, USA, presents a complex picture based on recent customer feedback available online. It is crucial for potential visitors to consider a range of experiences and perspectives when evaluating this RV park for their needs.
Several reviews paint a concerning picture of the environment at Gulf Coast RV Park. One reviewer described the location as resembling a "Kid Rock music video complete with trash scattered everywhere, cars on blocks and trump flags galore!" This suggests a potentially unkempt and visually unappealing environment for some visitors. Another reviewer explicitly stated that online pictures were misleading and took the initiative to upload several images to provide a more accurate representation of the park's current condition. These comments raise concerns about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds, which are important factors for anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable RV stay.
Furthermore, serious issues regarding the park's services and infrastructure have been reported. One particularly troubling review detailed an incident where the reviewer's camper converter was fried due to a faulty shore power station upon arrival, even with the use of a surge protector. The subsequent experience with the on-site "maintenance" was described as unhelpful and neglectful, with the issue reportedly taking three days to even begin addressing. Ultimately, the reviewer had to hire an external professional to fix the problem because the park staff "couldn't be bothered to do their alleged job." This incident raises significant concerns about the reliability of the electrical infrastructure and the responsiveness of the park's maintenance services.
The level of professionalism at Gulf Coast RV Park has also been called into question. The reviewer who experienced the electrical issue labeled the service as "Extremely unprofessional." Additionally, the condition of the laundry room was criticized as "filthy," with reports that "most of the washers and dryers do not work." Basic amenities like laundry facilities are often crucial for RV travelers, and these comments suggest that the facilities at Gulf Coast RV Park may be substandard and unreliable.
The state of the main office also received negative feedback, with one reviewer stating that it "smells like a truck stop and looks like one too." This comment contributes to the overall impression of a poorly maintained and potentially unpleasant environment. The culmination of these negative experiences led one reviewer to conclude that their 30-day stay was "the worst experience" and that they would not have booked there had they seen accurate pictures beforehand.
However, it is important to present a balanced view, as one review offers a starkly contrasting positive experience. This reviewer described the location as "Super nice. Great state park. Clean facilities, nice sites. Staff friendly. Will be back." They also mentioned bringing their dogs, who enjoyed swimming at the "lake dog park." This positive feedback highlights the potential for a pleasant experience, particularly for those who value clean facilities, friendly staff, and amenities like a dog park with lake access. The discrepancy between the reviews suggests that the park's condition and services might be inconsistent or that different visitors have varying expectations and experiences.
Given the significant disparity in the customer reviews, local users considering Gulf Coast RV Park should exercise caution and seek further information before making a booking. The negative reviews raise serious concerns about the cleanliness, maintenance, infrastructure reliability, and professionalism at the park. The positive review, while encouraging, stands in stark contrast to the multiple negative accounts.
Currently, no specific promotional information is available in the provided text. Potential visitors should directly contact Gulf Coast RV Park at (251) 968-6494 or +1 251-968-6494 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any recent improvements or changes in management or facilities that might address the issues raised in the negative reviews. It would be prudent to ask specific questions about the condition of the electrical hookups, laundry facilities, and overall cleanliness of the park.
In conclusion, Gulf Coast RV Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama, presents a mixed and potentially risky option for local RV users based on recent online reviews. While one reviewer reported a positive experience with clean facilities, friendly staff, and a dog park, several others described a poorly maintained environment, unreliable services (particularly electrical), unprofessional management, and unclean amenities. The significant discrepancies in these accounts suggest a need for potential visitors to conduct thorough due diligence, seek recent and unbiased information, and potentially visit the park in person before committing to a stay. The warnings about misleading online pictures and the detailed accounts of negative experiences should be carefully considered by anyone searching for “RV parks near me” in the Gulf Shores area.

Gulf Coast RV Park Reviews
This place looks like a Kid Rock music video complete with trash scattered everywhere, cars on blocks and trump flags galore! The pictures online in reviews are misleading so I took the liberty to upload several in hopes that it would save somebody money and time! The very first day we got there we fried our converter in our camper (even with a surge protector) because of a faulty shore power station. Had to run our power off of another lot, then a battery charger to keep our 12v topped off while the on site 'maintenance' men gave us the run around for three days on fixing it. We had to employ someone separate to come and fix it because the people who work at this park couldn't be bothered to do their alleged job.Extremely unprofessional. The laundry room is filthy, most of the washers and dryers do not work. The main office smells like a truck stop and looks like one too.We spent 30 days here and it was the worst experience.Had I of seen pictures of what this place actually looked like, I would not have booked here.

Aug 21, 2024 · Harold GussmanGreat place to stay!! Friendly staff and lots of shade.
Mar 27, 2025 · Holly BrownWhat.a.dump! Definitely on my 'never again' list. Upon arrival, nobody in office even though it was check in time, no check in paperwork left out either. Trashy, brushy, run down...I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Only bright spot was I got a level site. My son in law however, after an amazing display of backing in prowess (threading between trees and a deep ditch across from the space) turned out that the pedestal had one 50 amp breaker and one 30 amp plug?? My sil had to drive down to the Camping World and buy an adapter. At $45.00-$55.00 a night, this was not a deal. I didn't bother even checking out the "amenities", judging from the state of the park it would be a disappointment.
Sep 08, 2023 · Dina TunbergThe office was run down and a mess smells musty and the acorns drooping on top of Rv sounded like golf balls all night long couldn’t sleep. When we took the water house released from our Rv it was all Black water horrible payed for two nights only stayed for one and just left world not recommend this camp ground was not worth my $50. A night waste of money.not even a park it should be called a dump. Did not have a good experience so don’t waste your time your better off sleeping in Walmart plaza. We picked up so quick they made $50 on us being we didn’t even stay the second night my loss but well worth it to leave. Water was black coming out of the house thank goodness we had a water filter on th hose. 🥵😡🤮 I guess the got a $50 tip😜😕😫 not deserved.
