Yankeeland RV Resort Introduce
Welcome to Yankeeland RV Resort, located at 1 Robinson Way, Kennebunk, ME 04043, USA. For local users and those searching within the 'RV parks near me' category for a well-situated RV park in southern Maine, Yankeeland RV Resort offers a compelling option. This introduction aims to provide a balanced overview of the resort based on the available customer reviews, highlighting its environment, services, and features, while also addressing any concerns raised by guests.
Kennebunk, Maine, is a charming coastal town renowned for its beautiful beaches, picturesque landscapes, and proximity to other attractions in the region. Yankeeland RV Resort's location benefits from this setting, placing guests within easy reach of the Maine coastline, including the famous Kennebunk Beach and Kennebunkport. The positive review notes the resort's convenient proximity not only to beaches but also to mountain ranges and the vibrant city of Portland, offering a diverse range of recreational and cultural opportunities for visitors. The mention of "the best food on earth in every direction" further suggests that guests can enjoy the rich culinary scene of southern Maine.
According to one enthusiastic reviewer who stayed for two months, Yankeeland RV Resort excels in several aspects. They highlight the friendly and respectful nature of the people within the resort, creating a welcoming community atmosphere. This reviewer also praises the responsible pet owners who maintain cleanliness, making it a pleasant environment for those traveling with dogs. The resort seems to cater well to pet owners, as indicated by the reviewer's dogs enjoying walks within the grounds. This is a significant feature for individuals specifically searching for pet-friendly 'RV parks near me'.
The management team, specifically Vern, Jan, and Joni, receive exceptional praise for their friendliness, accommodation, and dedication to maintaining the resort. The reviewer describes them as working tirelessly to ensure every detail is carefully looked after, always checking on guests' needs, and keeping the pool "immaculate." This level of attentive and hardworking management can significantly enhance the guest experience, fostering a sense of being well-cared for and at home. The reviewer was so impressed that they would have been regular seasonal visitors if they weren't already purchasing a home nearby, indicating a high level of satisfaction.
However, it is crucial to consider the negative review, which presents a contrasting perspective. This reviewer found the campsite to be "not the prettiest" and stated that the "pictures lie," suggesting a potential discrepancy between the advertised appearance and the reality. They also noted that the pool "could use some TLC," indicating a possible issue with the maintenance of this amenity. While the initial greeting by neighbors was positive, the atmosphere reportedly changed after they were heard speaking a foreign language. This led to an unsettling experience where the manager, based on multiple barking complaints about their dogs (despite the reviewer noting that many dogs bark at the campground), allegedly asked them to leave in the middle of the night without any prior warning. This review raises serious concerns about potential biases and the handling of guest issues, particularly regarding pet policies and communication.
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Kennebunk area, Yankeeland RV Resort offers a location with excellent access to beaches, mountains, and Portland. The positive review suggests a friendly community, responsible pet owners, and a dedicated management team. These are significant advantages for those seeking a welcoming and well-maintained environment for their RV. The spaciousness of the lots is implied by the positive experiences of dog owners walking their pets comfortably.
However, the negative review highlights potential drawbacks, including the aesthetic appeal of the campsite, the condition of the pool, and, most importantly, the alleged discriminatory treatment and abrupt eviction due to dog barking complaints without prior warning. This stark contrast in experiences underscores the importance of considering both perspectives when evaluating Yankeeland RV Resort. Potential guests, especially those with pets and those who value clear communication and fair treatment, should be aware of these concerns.

In conclusion, Yankeeland RV Resort in Kennebunk, ME, offers a prime location with easy access to the diverse attractions of southern Maine. While one reviewer raves about the friendly atmosphere, dedicated management, and pet-friendly environment, another reports significant issues with the campsite's appearance, pool maintenance, and alleged unfair treatment regarding pet complaints. For local users and those searching 'RV parks near me', it is recommended to weigh these contrasting experiences carefully. Contacting the resort directly to inquire about their current policies, amenities, and any available promotions is essential. Visiting the resort in person, if possible, may also help potential guests form their own assessment of the environment and facilities before making a decision about their stay.

Yankeeland RV Resort Reviews
We have lived here for 2 months so far while waiting to close on our house. This place is awesome in every way! Close to beaches, close to mountain ranges, close to Portland, and the best food on earth in every direction. Our dogs love to go on walks here. The people are so friendly and respectful. It seems like everyone here are all very responsible pet owners and clean up after them!To top things off, Vern, Jan, and Joni are the most friendly and accommodating people we have ever experienced. They seemingly work around the clock to make sure every little detail is carefully maintained. They are always checking to see what they can do to make our stay better and Vern keeps that pool immaculate! All of them work so hard all the time and they accomplish so much that you would think they had a staff of 20 people. If we weren't already buying a home close by, we would definitely be regular visitors here every season. Thanks for making us feel welcome and at home!
Jul 26, 2020 · Ryan & ChasNot the prettiest campsite. Pictures lie. Pool could use some TLC. Our first day there, we were greeted fairly well by surrounding neighbors. Soon after people heard us speaking a foreign language, the atmosphere changed. Not by all parties, but by the parties that mattered in this community. At first I didn't think much of it and thought I was over thinking it. Day 2 at 8pm in the evening, someone claiming to be the manager calls my wife and said she received multiple complaints about my dogs barking and that we would have to pack up our things and leave that night. They wanted me, my wife and 1 yr old daughter to leave in the middle of the night because of barking complaints. Almost everyone on the campgrounds has a dog and they all bark. We were the only ones singled out and never even given a warning that people were complaining about our dogs. Take my review however you'd like but this is one place I will never go back or ever recommend.
May 30, 2022 · Mama Nesta89Lack of signs, hard to find siteSite was good, but felt lucky as most were stuffedWifi lmao why advertise it if the whole camp does have decent coverage, can't be that much to add antennasStore closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, would.have been nice to have access to wood, honor system maybe if you gonna close.Quite time is for all, should let the seasonal know that also, loud as hell well after midnightRiver access terrible why advertise itWith all that, yes could have been better, but I would still go back
Jul 06, 2023 · LancerIve been coming here for 33 years. The new owners treat this place like a money making hole.New sign lacks character and name is misleading. No toilet paper… My canoe was stolen. No general store. We think this is an RV Resort? Great History, but uncertain future. It will always be Yankeeland Campground.
Aug 11, 2022 · Aaron DellaCroceAffordable camp ground away from the busiest places. Nice quiet place during the week. Busier during the weekend. I liked lot number 23 for our stay. My disappointment was the men's sanitary bloc. Strong urine smell at my arrival August 8 and the showers stayed dirty from August 8 until the 14. And the wifi not working well at all. I will come back but complain if it is still the same.
