Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Beaver Trails Introduce
If you're a local resident in Minnesota searching for "camping near me" around the Austin area, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Beaver Trails, located at 21943 630th Ave, Austin, MN 55912, USA, is one of the options you might encounter. They can be contacted at (507) 607-0620 or their mobile number, +1 507-607-0620, for inquiries about reservations and amenities.
Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Beaver Trails appear to be quite polarized, with some guests reporting positive interactions and others expressing significant dissatisfaction. One reviewer had an "exceptional" experience with the customer service, noting that one of the owners went out of their way to help find the best discount. This positive interaction suggests a potential for helpful and accommodating staff.
This same reviewer also praised the cleanliness and maintenance of their cabin, specifically mentioning that the air conditioning worked "excellent." They further commented on the politeness, responsiveness, and kindness of all the workers. The efforts of the staff in maintaining clean grounds, working equipment (they rented a golf cart), and a safe environment were also highlighted as positive aspects of their stay. For families with children, this reviewer noted that their kids had "plenty to do" and recommended bringing a fishing pole for the creek, indicating that fishing is an available activity. They also expressed anticipation for a return visit once the new pool is completed, suggesting that a pool is either a current amenity undergoing renovation or a planned future addition.
However, another recent review paints a starkly different picture of the campground. This reviewer expressed extreme disappointment with their experience, citing several significant issues. They reported that the floor in their cabin was uneven and the ceiling was falling down, indicating potentially poor maintenance and unsafe conditions within some of the accommodations. Furthermore, they noted a decline in the available activities compared to the past, mentioning the absence of paddle boats, crazy bikes, and miniature golf, which suggests a reduction in the recreational offerings.
The negative reviewer also described the manager as "very rude," indicating a potential issue with the current management's demeanor and customer service approach, which directly contradicts the positive experience shared by the other guest. They also referenced a perceived decline in the quality of the campground since it was taken over by ABC (Adventure Bound Camping Resorts), contrasting it with a time when it was under different ownership (the Tolners), during which it was considered "amazing." This suggests a potential change in management practices and overall campground quality over time.
Adding to the list of serious concerns, this reviewer recounted a previous camping experience at the same location where they had no power for an entire day. They also raised significant health and safety issues regarding the water in the cabins, stating that it was "not drinkable" and had a smell of rotten eggs, which also affected the smell of their laundry with sulfur. These are critical issues that would severely impact the comfort and well-being of guests.
Finally, the negative review mentioned limited hours for activities or general engagement, stating that there was "nothing to do before ten am or after 8pm," leading to boredom among the children and a desire to leave. The reviewer felt that they had paid a "lot of money for a very poor experience," indicating a significant disconnect between the cost and the perceived value of their stay.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Beaver Trails presents a mixed bag based on these recent reviews. While some guests have experienced exceptional customer service, clean and well-maintained cabins, and enjoyable activities like fishing and golf cart rentals, others have encountered significant problems with cabin conditions, a perceived lack of activities, rude management, and serious issues with the water quality and power outages. The anticipation of a new pool might be a future positive development, but it does not address the current concerns raised by dissatisfied guests.
Given the contrasting experiences and the severity of the negative feedback regarding cabin conditions, water quality, and management, local campers should exercise caution and consider these points carefully before making a reservation at Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Beaver Trails. It would be prudent to inquire specifically about the current condition of the cabins, the availability and operational status of amenities, and the source and potability of the water when contacting the campground. Asking about any recent improvements or addressing the concerns raised in the negative reviews might also provide valuable insights.
As no specific promotional information was included in the provided reviews, it is advisable to contact Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Beaver Trails directly at (507) 607-0620 or +1 507-607-0620 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any special offers they might be running. It would also be beneficial to seek more recent reviews from various platforms to get a broader understanding of the current state of the campground and the experiences of other recent visitors.
In conclusion, while Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Beaver Trails near Austin, MN, offers some potentially positive aspects such as helpful staff and certain well-maintained cabins, the significant concerns raised in another recent review regarding cabin conditions, water quality, limited activities, and rude management cannot be ignored. Local users searching for "camping near me" should weigh these contrasting experiences carefully and conduct thorough due diligence before booking a stay at this campground to ensure it meets their expectations for a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable outdoor experience.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Beaver Trails Reviews
The customer service was exceptional—one of the owners even helped me with finding the best discount!!Our cabin was clean and well-maintained (the A/C worked excellent also). All the workers were polite, responsive, and kind. They work hard at maintaining clean grounds, working equipment (we rented a golf cart), and a safe environment. The kids had a blast and had plenty to do. Bring your fishing pole for the creek! We look forward to returning when the new pool is done!!Thanks, Adventure Bound! :)
Jun 23, 2024 · Ash KroogCabin floor is uneven, ceiling is falling down. Not much left to do. No paddle boats, no crazy bikes, no miniature golf. Manager is very rude. This place used to be amazing when the Tolners owned it, but has steadily gone downhill since it was taken over by ABC. Last time we camped here we had no power the whole day. The water in the cabins is not drinkable and smells of rotten eggs. It also makes your laundry smell of sulfur. Nothing to do before ten am or after 8pm. Kids are bored and want to leave. Paid a lot of money for a very poor experience.
Aug 31, 2024 · Christina Beyer-FinkI unfortunately won’t be bringing or recommending this place to others due to the extreme disrespect and terrible customer service. I’ve never been treated so badly as a paying customer before, this included being yelled at, dirty looks, and just general poor customer service by the manager and other rude employees. It was a common thread throughout our weekend stay, including our group going to get ice cream. Their communication board legitimately says “ice cream served ALL day!” but when we went to get our one treat at 6:50pm on a Saturday we were given obvious dirty looks, and rude remarks about them going to be done serving ice cream soon and were told it was too late and they directed us to buy their popsicles instead when we were excited and eager to pay for the ice cream, after much disrespect and unwillingness, they served us. The last thing that was honestly disappointing was the lack of communication skills by their manager when I went in to ask about when the pool would be open for the day (it’s supposed to open at 10am). I was kind and curious on when it was going to be open and even offering some solutions to their challenges so that everyone could enjoy the last day of the pool when it was 84 degrees and hot! There was a line of people waiting to also ask about this. The manager constantly was cutting me off and interrupting me when I was trying to talk, ask a question,Or give a tip for the future. She raised her voice and pointed fingers at the group of people trying to talk to her. Not once did she acknowledge our concern, apologized for the inconvenience, & rudely told people they could leave when no one was even asking about leaving the campground. Needless to say, this was the worst customer service I’ve experienced in my life, it felt like I was being pranked as a bad experience but it unfortunately was just how they run this place. There was two kind workers, an older guy with a mustache and a younger guy helping with the train/ice cream, if they had more kind people this place would be a HUGE attraction and would change my review. Everything falls on leadership and I feel this place needs new management.
Sep 17, 2024 · Alicia ReyesStaff accommodated to us by letting our 2 campers move right next to a cabin we had rented to make sure our stay was top notch. Sites are nice and large and everything is very clean. Plenty to do for kids and fun activities on the schedule. Annual stop for us we look forward to every year!
Aug 11, 2024 · Andy SimonOur cabin was nice, but had clearly not been cleaned well before we arrived. The floor was absolutely covered in sand and dirt and there was trash on the floor in the bedroom. Shower had hair on the wall from a previous stay. Our trip overall was nice, but more care and time could be put into cleaning the cabins between guest stays.
