Alpine Lake Campground Introduce
Nestled in the scenic landscapes of Corinth, New York, Alpine Lake Campground offers a diverse range of camping experiences for local users searching for the perfect "camping near me" getaway. Located at 78 Heath Rd, Corinth, NY 12822, USA, this campground provides a tranquil escape for families, couples, and solo adventurers alike. You can reach them at (518) 654-6260 or their mobile number +1 518-654-6260 to inquire about availability and make reservations.
Based on information available, Alpine Lake Campground boasts a beautiful natural environment, centered around the picturesque Alpine Lake. This setting provides a serene backdrop for a variety of outdoor activities and a relaxing atmosphere for those looking to reconnect with nature. The presence of the lake suggests opportunities for activities such as fishing (if permitted), leisurely walks along the shore, and enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the water.
For those who prefer not to camp in a traditional RV or tent, Alpine Lake Campground offers cabin rentals. These cabins provide a comfortable and convenient alternative, allowing guests to enjoy the campground experience with the added benefit of shelter and potentially more amenities than a standard tent site. The availability of cabins makes Alpine Lake Campground an attractive option for a wider range of local users, including those who may be new to camping or prefer a more structured accommodation.
In addition to cabins, the campground also features traditional tent sites, catering to those who enjoy a more immersive outdoor experience. These sites likely offer varying levels of privacy and access to campground amenities, providing options for different camping preferences.
While specific details about all services and features are not extensively available online, campgrounds typically offer essential amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. These often include:
- Restroom facilities: Providing necessary sanitation for campers.
- Shower facilities: Allowing guests to maintain hygiene during their stay.
- Potable water access: Ensuring a supply of drinking water for campers.
- Waste disposal: Offering designated areas for trash and recycling.
- Campground staff: Providing assistance, information, and ensuring the smooth operation of the campground.
- Recreational areas: Such as playgrounds or open spaces for activities.
The mention of "two lakes and two pools" in one of the reviews suggests that Alpine Lake Campground offers additional recreational opportunities beyond just the natural lake. These pools would provide a family-friendly option for swimming and cooling off during warmer months, enhancing the overall appeal of the campground for local users with children.
However, it is important to address a serious incident reported by a recent customer. This review detailed a deeply concerning event involving a non-seasonal guest who allegedly entered the women's shower facility and engaged in inappropriate behavior. The reviewer expressed significant distress and dissatisfaction with the campground's handling of the situation, including the delayed police response, the alleged lack of functioning video surveillance despite signage, and the unprofessional conduct of the activity director. This negative experience highlights potential safety and management issues that prospective local users should be aware of.
The reviewer also mentioned that the seasonal member associated with the individual involved in the incident was reportedly removed from the park. While this action suggests that the campground management took some steps in response to the situation, the overall handling of the event, as described, raises concerns about guest safety and security protocols.
Despite the negative review, it's worth noting that the reviewer mentioned having spent many previous summers at Alpine Lake Campground, indicating that prior to this incident, their experiences were positive. This suggests that the campground may have generally provided satisfactory experiences in the past.
For local users considering Alpine Lake Campground based on the "camping near me" category, it is advisable to:
- Contact the campground directly at (518) 654-6260 or +1 518-654-6260 to inquire about their current safety measures and guest policies.
- Ask specific questions about shower facility monitoring, security procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Inquire about the availability of different types of campsites (tent, RV) and cabin rentals, as well as their associated amenities and costs.
- Consider the recreational facilities available, such as the lakes and pools, and any rules or regulations associated with their use.
- Seek recent reviews from other local users to get a broader perspective on the current state of the campground and its management.
Alpine Lake Campground, with its attractive natural setting, including a lake and potentially additional pools, along with its range of accommodation options from tent sites to cabins, has the potential to be a desirable local camping destination. However, the serious safety incident reported by a recent guest warrants careful consideration and proactive inquiry by prospective visitors to ensure their safety and comfort. Local users searching for "camping near me" should weigh the positive aspects of the environment and amenities against the reported negative experience and make informed decisions based on their individual needs and risk tolerance.

Alpine Lake Campground Reviews
This is a beautiful campground with some cabins if you don't have an RV or camper you can rent the cabins they also last I knew had some tent sites
Apr 18, 2025 · Michael McCotterMy family and I have spent many summers at alpine lake & up until last month I would never have imagined I would leave a negative review about our experience but here we are. I will premise this review with I assume The park has probably never dealt with a situation like this in the past judging from the way they handled it. My daughter and I walked down to the showers to do just that. Shower. I walked in; checked every single stall, to the point that my daughter asked why I was doing that. I explained you never know who and if someone is supposed to be somewhere they aren’t supposed to be. She goes in first to shower, I stand out watching the door. We switch; and she does the same. I’m finishing up and my 6 year old daughter mind you.. says a man just walked in. I immediately hurried and covered myself. Now it’s about 30 seconds I’m rushing to put shorts on & then sex sounds, moaning and cursing from behind the shower stall he walked into. I stood frozen for a minute but decided to not stay silent and subject myself and my daughter to that trauma. I screamed that I was with a child and to leave. I chased him out of the bathroom where he was met by a couple who held him until I could get to my husband and call the police. Here’s where I want to acknowledge somethings that just don’t sit with me. 1. This person was not 21 drunk and not a seasonal guest but a guest of one. He was given the pass to stay overnight because he “was drunk” 2. Took 38 minutes for police to come, I pray nothing more sinister never happens there with 2 lakes and 2 pools because Warrens county is far and wide. 3. The showers and laundry room had a sign claiming it was under video surveillance & when my husband asked about it we were told they were in fact not on. 4. I’ve seen multiple people rave about Justin the activity director; he might be great at running the games but he was completely unprofessional that night and honestly 1/2 the reason we won’t ever come back. 5. We were told the seasonal member who this creep was with were being removed from the park and lost their seasonal site over this which sucks for them but live and learn who you have around your circle.I went back and forth about making this review but after hearing my 6 year old ask if there was a bad man in this bathroom too at the fair last week was a reminder that it’s not about me it’s about someone else. I’m 37. A strong female raised by a Sargent in the police force. I wasn’t gonna stand there and listen to that and absorb that trauma a single second longer but I truly feel in my bones that a young girl or someone without the foresight to check their surroundings would have been paralyzed in fear & stood there. The police ultimately did nothing. Slapped him on the wrist. We requested the report from warrens county and will be going forward with a complaint there too.
Aug 31, 2024 · Briana ReillyJustin the activity director is amazing he works hard makeing all activity for adults and kids fun. and exciting he has amazing energy. he is why my family are seasonal here at this resort . Jul 11, 2024 · Robert salsburgHonest review our our stay:This is a large campground that is in close proximity to Saratoga as well as Lake George. We rented an RV site for 5 nights. We had a pull through, which was nice, across from Goose Bay. There were a row of cabins in front of us but we could still see the lake from our site in between the cabins. The kids enjoyed fishing in the pond/lakes every day. The site was tight but my husband had no issue getting our 31ft travel trailer in and out of it. The sites are pretty close together, not a lot of privacy and not a lot of extra area to park. The seasonal campers rely on their golf carts to get around and they also rent out golf carts for around $100 per day. We didn't rent one, we drove to the pool the couple of times we went with the kids. We had a bathroom house next to our site and we did use it a couple of times. It was run down looking and dirty, the toilets did not flush reliably and there was no paper towels in the dispenser any of the days we were there. The staff in the office was always pleasant. The pool area has 2 pools, one that is zero depth to 3ft and the other had a deep end of 5 ft. The signs are posted for no glass bottles or diving, nobody enforces any of those rules. A child was eating a cheeseburger in the pool one of the times we were there. Quiet hours start at 11..... Nobody follows that either it seemed while we were there. Our neighbors partied it up until 2 ish one night, which I have no issue with, except that they were yelling and screaming and driving their golf carts back and forth. Many dogs around us barking as well. We stayed Thursday to Tuesday and it did quiet down significantly by Sunday evening. We didn't make it to the activities but our kids saw the juggler that was entertaining the campers and they said he was great. We chose this campground based on the proximity to the areas we wanted to visit and the reviews we read. We made great memories at the Saratoga Spa State Park, Race Track and Lake George, so we don't regret our trip at all, we just wouldn't stay there again.
Jul 23, 2024 · Lynn KillenbeckThis is our second aeason at Alpine Lake. This resort is beautiful and kept clean. From the time you enter the resort, the staff are helpful and always available. We have lakes, pools, fishing and even a restaurant. Justin, the activities director, surely does an exceptional job every week with both children and adult activities. He always has a smile on his face and works hard to make every activity fun. Alpine Lake is our home away from home.
