Alpine North Loop Campground

Caribou-Targhee National Forest, Forest Road #415, Alpine, WY 83128, USA

Nice clean campground, but noisy. Lots of helicopters and of course highway traffic. Nice shade, but bring a pop up gazebo because there are lots of flies and mosquitoes galore. The squirrels are active, so make sure your dog is leashed. Huge metal tables and a nice fire ring with a grill. Water is available and several toilets. There’s a group site and a B loop too. Spots aren’t too close together which is nice. I love a campground where the hosts work to keep everything and everyone following the rules. Oh, bear boxes too. - Jane Rupp
