American Legion Campground Reviews
The location of this place is ideal. You can walk to many restaurants- bathhouse was spotless! Probably one of the cleanest I’ve seen in a while. We were tent camping and sites are pretty tight especially if there are a lot of rvs in the park. It’s was a pretty loud after dark both nights we were there. People partying well into the morning hrs. Legion is close by - you get a free drink chip - it’s a buy one get the second free. Not the friendliest bartender. 😏 camp store on site for small items.
Jul 01, 2024 · L.E. MalcolmFor the price. You should be able to pitch more then one tent per site.. and have wood included. Overall it was packed and no privacy. The only perk is it being right across from the beach. Will not be going back.
Jul 25, 2024 · Veronica HopkinsHad fun, Front Fenders were playing! Thank you Joni and Dean for inviting Dan and I! First bar experience in a long time!! Saw and visited a lot of friends.
Jun 03, 2024 · Joy WheelerIdeal place for camping, walking distance to several restaurants and the beach. Campground bathrooms are spotless. Management is friendly and does amazing job keeping the campground maintained. People are friendly and beautiful playground for the kids.
Jul 09, 2024 · Jody zieskeI gave them 3 stars not because of anything wrong with the place itself there's just somethings they can't do anything about when the place is right in the middle of town that just make it not great. I mean the camp site was decent the bathrooms were very very clean hookups good ect.... but the train going through town at least twice a night blowing the horn at every crossing at 2:00 am or whenever and the airport runway takeoff and approach lining up directly over our heads and planes 200 feet above our heads landing at all hours just doesn't warrant any better rating. It looks as if it is 95% or better full-time campers also so they are probably used to the noise. If everything else wouldn't have been as good as it is would have had to rate it lower. If they took it and moved it out of the middle of town 5 stars.
