Situated conveniently on UT-39, Anderson Cove Campground offers direct access to the popular Pineview Reservoir, making it an ideal destination for lake enthusiasts and those looking for a scenic overnight stay. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground boasts a beautiful environment and friendly staff, though it experiences significant daytime activity due to its prime lake access.
One of the standout features of Anderson Cove Campground is its picturesque setting. Visitors consistently describe it as a "beautiful place to stay," highlighting the natural charm of the area. This suggests that campers can expect scenic views and a pleasant atmosphere conducive to relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. The allure of the nearby Pineview Reservoir undoubtedly contributes to the overall appeal of the campground's environment.
For those seeking a peaceful night's rest, Anderson Cove Campground seems to deliver. One reviewer specifically noted that the campground is "dead quiet all night long," which is a significant advantage for campers who prioritize a tranquil sleeping environment. This peaceful nighttime atmosphere contrasts with the daytime activity associated with the lake access, offering a balanced experience for overnight guests.
The primary draw of Anderson Cove Campground appears to be its excellent access to Pineview Reservoir. The lake is described as a major attraction, drawing heavy traffic during the day. This is understandable given the recreational opportunities it likely offers, such as swimming, boating, and fishing. For campers looking for a basecamp to enjoy these lake activities, Anderson Cove Campground provides a highly convenient location.
The staff at Anderson Cove Campground are also commended in the reviews. The people working at the gate are described as "very nice and helpful," indicating a positive and welcoming experience upon arrival and throughout your stay. Friendly and helpful staff can significantly enhance a camping trip, providing assistance and information to make the stay more enjoyable.
Anderson Cove Campground offers more than just lake access. It provides a great point from which to explore and enjoy the Pineview Reservoir. One reviewer specifically mentioned the beach area, noting that it offers a good north-facing view and is covered with sand, making it a favorite among children. A sandy beach is a significant amenity for families and those who enjoy swimming and sunbathing.
It's also mentioned that there is an entrance fee to access the area. While some might see this as an additional cost, the reviewer suggests that this fee likely contributes to reducing the crowds compared to other locations on the reservoir. This implies that Anderson Cove Campground might offer a slightly less congested experience, which can be a significant benefit, especially during peak season when popular lakes can become very crowded.
In addition to the beach, Anderson Cove Campground also provides access to a day picnic area. However, it's noted that the path to this picnic area is a bit steeper than at other locations around the reservoir. This is a useful piece of information for visitors, particularly those with mobility issues or young children, allowing them to plan accordingly when accessing the picnic facilities.

Anderson Cove Campground Reviews
A beautiful place to stay overnight! Dead quiet all night long. Very busy place during the day as the lake seems to draw heavy traffic which makes a lot of sense! The people working the gate are very nice and helpful people!
Jun 24, 2024 · Dustin SelfGreat place to access the Pineview Reservoir. The beach has a good north-facing view and is covered with sand, which is a favorite of the kids. There is an entrance fee, which is probably what helps reduce the crowds here compared to other locations on the reservoir. If you access the day picnic area the is a bit steeper than other places.
Jul 29, 2023 · Keith RousselUnder new management!! We’ve always loved this campground but were pleasantly surprised to see such attentiveness from Andy & Faith and team. They respect peoples quiet time but also understand we’re all here to have a good time. Great access to the beach and easy boat launching. Will be staying again!!
Sep 02, 2024 · Jenna PriceWe love camping here. So pretty. We camp in. Large group with our friends. They don't have hook ups but have bathrooms and water. The firepits don't put out any heat so we dislike those.. playing on the shore is amazing.
Jul 18, 2023 · Family PierceThis is an extremely nice very large, spaced out campground, set in a beautiful area with shops and all you need close by. The camp staff were all very nice. The camp offers one water and dump station, so to enjoy this camp to it’s best, you need to be able to live off grid. Communications as in Verizon and AT&T are fine. We will most definitely return here if we come this way again.
