Angle Cabins Introduce
Are you searching for the perfect "camping near me" experience? Look no further than Angle Cabins, nestled in the scenic Angle Trail of Salamanca, New York. Located within the renowned Allegany State Park, Angle Cabins offer a fantastic blend of rustic charm and convenient amenities, making them an ideal choice for local users seeking a comfortable and accessible outdoor escape.
Angle Cabins provide a step up from traditional tent camping, offering a cozy and secure shelter amidst the beauty of nature. Each cabin is thoughtfully appointed to enhance your camping experience. You'll find insulated walls providing a more comfortable internal temperature and noise reduction, along with a propane wall unit equipped with a thermostat, ensuring you stay warm on cooler evenings. For those who enjoy preparing their own meals, each cabin features a gas stove and a refrigerator complete with a freezer, allowing you to store and cook your favorite camping fare.
Inside, the cabins are furnished with four cots, providing sleeping arrangements for small groups or families. Two benches and a table offer a dedicated space for dining, playing games, or simply relaxing indoors. Outside, an additional bench allows you to soak in the natural surroundings. Practical features include light-blocking and screened windows, offering privacy and ventilation while keeping insects out. While the cabins themselves do not have running water, convenience is still a priority. Guests have nearby access to the Fancher restrooms and showers, which include two stalls and four to six shower rooms on each side, ensuring a more comfortable and hygienic camping experience.
For those concerned about accessibility, Angle Cabins boast easy and quick access to the bike trail located just across the street. This provides a fantastic opportunity for cycling enthusiasts to explore the park's scenic routes. Furthermore, the location offers convenient access to various points of interest on the Quaker side of the park, making it a great base for exploring the local attractions and natural wonders.
While the cabins offer a wonderful experience, it's worth noting a few practicalities. As mentioned, there is no running water inside the cabins. However, water spigots are readily available along the trail, ensuring you have access to water for your needs. For dishwashing, the closest station is located in the new bathhouse across the street from the Horseshoe cabins. This minor inconvenience is often outweighed by the overall comfort and convenience the cabins provide.
Based on feedback from fellow campers, Angle Cabins have been well-received. One reviewer highlighted the "nice amenities for long-stay camping" and expressed their intention to make it a "go-to spot for future trips," praising the great location. Another camper who enjoyed their first Allegany State Park experience in Angle 11 found it "perfect," noting its cleanliness upon arrival and the short walk (approximately 50 yards) to the restrooms and showers. They also appreciated the close proximity of a water spigot, just 20 feet from the porch.
While one guest mentioned that the refrigerator in their cabin was particularly cold, causing some items to freeze, they still acknowledged surviving this minor issue, indicating that the overall positive aspects of the stay outweighed this small inconvenience.
It's also important to consider the environment of Angle Cabins. They are situated within sight of the roadway. For those seeking a more secluded and quieter experience, it might be worth requesting cabins that are "tucked further back on the trail" when making your reservation, if such options are available.
In summary, if you're a local user looking for "camping near me" that offers more comfort and convenience than traditional tent camping, Angle Cabins in Allegany State Park are an excellent choice. You can expect insulated shelter, propane heating, a gas stove, a refrigerator, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and easy access to essential facilities like restrooms and showers. The proximity to the bike trail and other attractions within the Quaker side of the park further enhances their appeal. While there's no running water in the cabins, readily available water spigots and a nearby dishwashing station address these needs. The positive reviews from other campers speak to the enjoyable and convenient experience Angle Cabins provide.

Angle Cabins Reviews
Angle cabins are appointed with insulated walls, propane heat (wall unit, thermostat controlled), gas stove, fridge with freezer, 4 cots, 2 benches and a table, 1 outdoor bench, light-blocking and screened windows, and have nearby access to the Fancher restrooms and showers (2 stalls, 4-6 shower rooms on each side). The cabins are in sight of the roadway, so if you want a quiet cabin, try the cabins tucked further back on the trail. No running water is provided in the cabins, but water spigots are available on the trail. Closest dishwashing station is in the new bathhouse across the street from the Horseshoe cabins.Easy and quick access to the bike trail (across the street), and easy access to various POIs on the quaker side of the park.My only (very small) complaint was that the fridge was FRIGID....most of our stuff had ice crystals in it, but we survived!Great location, nice amenities for long-stay camping, and definitely will be a go-to spot for future trips!
Oct 02, 2023 · Carolyn Hare-LysiakOur first camping trip in ASP. Angle 11 cabin was perfect for us. Was clean upon arrival. Only about 50 yard walk to restrooms and showers. Water spigot is 20 feet from the porch.
Oct 12, 2020 · PAUL INDELICATOCabin clean, nice area, bathroom and showers older but clean. Newer showers down the road. The park didn't give directions and advertise very much.
Jun 25, 2023 · Stephanie wrightDecent cabins. Bring your own air mattress if you can. No in cabin bathrooms or running water. Bathrooms and showers are a quick walk away.
Jun 05, 2018 · Brian HohlThey need just a lil more to offer.. like maybe bike rentals would be helpful. Everything was soo far away. And I felt there should be more playgrounds die the kids.
