Arbutus Lake State Forest Campground

N Arbutus Lake Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686, USA

4.0
Convenient location from Traverse City with a nice swimming beach. Some sites are very connected with each other without much vegetation between them, but there are some walk-in sites that have some privacy with a view of the lake. Some of these sites don't have parking immediately next to the stairs so a little walk is needed to get your gear from the car if you took one of those. It was fairly busy compared to some other state forest around the area. My site had a lot of acorns on the ground and in the fall season acorns kept dropping on my tent at night, but otherwise I enjoyed my stay there. - Yuliang Hu
