We're here right now, been for a few days. What a great place! The people, both staff and campers are friendly and outgoing, and you can't beat the location being right by the battlefield park entrance. My biggest thing in any campground is the cleanliness of the bathroom, and these are spotless.Special shout out to Cory Miller, an employee there for helping us out of a bind with our water system. Apr 29, 2025 · Jerry KellyI was first introduced to Artillery Ridge Campground as a Boy Scout years ago . Naturally years later when friends of mine and I chose to make annual visits to Gettysburg I chose Artillery Ridge as our destination to camp. Last year my wife wanted to make a weekend visit and try out the campground for herself. It has been a few years since my friends and i have chosen Gettysburg as our destination of choice so i was impressed with the many changes and upgrades. The place is well kept and positioned perfectly for anyone wanting to tour the many options available in Gettysburg.
Apr 28, 2025 · Anthony MartinLots of family activities at this campground. We just needed one night with bathroom. Just rated bathroom at 7 out of 10. They need to upgrade it. The toilet stalls were too small. The shower felt like needles on my skin and no way to adjust spray. And what's with the full size window in the ladies bathroom door???So okay if you're self contained, but not if minimal RVer. Convenient to battleground so we weren't rushed.
Apr 07, 2025 · James ChudeI don’t usually leave reviews like this, but I’m honestly so frustrated after our recent experience with this campground. We’ve stayed here SEVERAL times because we love Gettysburg and have always tried to overlook the little things that weren’t perfect. The location is great, and the staff have generally been friendly — until now. This time, we received our invoice, which included the current promotion (stay two nights, get one free). We paid the invoice promptly. The next day, we got another invoice saying we owed for the third night. When we called to ask why, we were told the owner decided to revoke the promotion for guests who had already paid — even though the invoice they sent us clearly included the promotion. We weren’t the only ones upset. The staff told us their phones were ringing off the hook with other frustrated guests in the same situation. Still, the owner refused to honor what was sent. He was rude, dismissive, and wouldn’t accept any responsibility for the mix-up. Honestly, he seemed more interested proving he’s right than making things right. This is disappointing, especially after we’ve been loyal guests. And it’s not the only issue — last summer, the pool was extremely cloudy and dirty, and a child had a #2 accident on the steps. No one seemed to take action, so we just avoided the pool rather than make a big deal and decided to re book when it wasn’t pool season. But after this latest situation and the owner’s attitude, it sealed the deal for us. We won’t be back. We were traveling with five other families who also booked, and none of us will be returning. If this is how he treats returning guests, I’d hate to see how new ones are treated.
Apr 11, 2025 · Michael ByersOur absolute FAVORITE Gettysburg spot! The campground, sites, and facilities are spotless, the activities that are scheduled are amazing! We stay here at least once a season. The pool and splashpad are wonderful, as well as the covered pavilion. Lets not even get into how amazing Gettysburg is in general and when exploring all the sites and sounds, make THIS your home base! On the weekends they have everything from food trucks, farm stand trucks, cigar trucks, and ice cream trucks! They are golf cart friendly!
