Bates-Farm Reviews
We hosted a homeschool camping trip in October, it was a wonderful experience. We had the best time. The play area was a hit with all the kids, not to mention all the fun activities scheduled. The staff/owners were so friendly and helpful. And everything was well maintained and clean for a primitive camp ground. We are already planning our next trip!
Nov 26, 2024 · MaHalie ChappellMy family and I visited Bates-Farm in the late Spring. It was an easy drive from the Florence, AL area. The farm was very scenic, and the kids enjoyed playing on the climbing and play structures. I was very impressed by the clean and well appointed shower and bathroom facilities. This is a great place for a family camping get-away.
Nov 26, 2024 · Michelle ZackeyWe visited Bates Farm for an event and loved the area. The kids had a great time planting flowers and making wands. We can’t wait to try out a camping site and their archery setup. It is a great place and has something for everyone!
Dec 04, 2024 · Dania SaucierWe visited Bates Farm with our homeschool co-op and had a wonderful time! The owners are very knowledgeable and hands-on. My kids especially loved learning about the native plants and animals, archery and shooting bows, and crafting. They also had a blast on the playground. Our kids are 15, 8, and 2 and it was a good time for all of us. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something new and fun to do with your family, school, or co-op!
Nov 26, 2024 · Natasha HeacoxI recently attended an event here hosted by a different organization, and I wanted to provide some feedback. While the children's camp was fantastic, and my child absolutely loved it, I was disappointed with the event space itself. When I initially reviewed the event details on of the website, the venue appeared to be much different from what was actually presented. The barn hosting the event was not as clean or well-maintained as expected, with dust, exposed broken pipes, and hazardous items like broken pots and barbed wire on the grounds, which was concerning, especially for the safety of my child.Despite the venue's condition, I want to emphasize that the children's camp itself was excellent, and we would love to participate in similar events in the future.I would encourage you to visit the farm before booking, to get a clear idea of what you are getting before paying.
