Benchmark Hideaway Campground Reviews
The family and I stayed there this past weekend in a group site. The site was by the stream surrounded by trees, spacious and clean. We loved that the site wasn’t right next to others. As far as activities goes there isn’t much planned but they do have a play ground which my young ones loved. A ping pong table and a basketball hoop. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches we bought on Saturday morning were both really good. The location is great to Legoland (about 20 min). The bathroom and shower could use a little TLC but we didn’t mind since they were clean and the water was warm. Grant (I think he might be the owner) was very nice. All the other campers (a lot seemed like they’re seasonal) said hello and were friendly. We’ve added Benchmark to our visit again list. Thank you to everyone there for such a great weekend. We can’t wait to be back this is truly a relaxing place plus it’s close to the city.
Aug 21, 2023 · M MGreat owners! Parked our camper for us the first night because we had just bought it an hour before! They’re really doing a lot of improvements too. So much to do that’s included in costs - mini golf, swimming, basketball, ping pong, horseshoes and more. We will be back.
Aug 15, 2023 · Stephanie SetleyStayed at Benchmark for one night after picking up my trailer at a dealership down the road. The park was sold out but the staff accommodated me into a tent site. The staff was beyond friendly, accommodating and helpful. The park itself is beautiful and very wooded. The sites are good size as well. I met a ton of friendly people. The only negative I can think of is that there are not a lot of sites available for non-seasonal campers. The owner (Grant) and his son-in law were very nice and do a great job of maintaining the premises.I highly recommend this park.
May 16, 2022 · Sigmund VanDammeWonderful campground and the owners were so friendly and helpful right from the start with the phone call to Samantha. When I started to set up my tent, I realized I did not have my tent poles. I called and spoke with Samantha's husband. They quickly brought me their own personal tent to use.Very nice owners and worth even one night’s stay.
Nov 02, 2020 · Sam TilpWe started out by booking a site just so we could have electric and water to winterize our camper. Came back the next year for a week and ended up seasonal. Have been there 5 years now and absolutely love it! The owners are super friendly and caring. The other seasonal campers are a second family. It's a very family-friendly campsite, not a lot of crazy partying going on. We love it!!
