Beverly Campground Introduce
Seeking "camping near me" in the Cle Elum, Washington region? Beverly Campground, located off NF-9737, Cle Elum, WA 98922, USA, offers a natural and relatively private camping experience. For inquiries, you can contact them at (509) 852-1100 or +1 509-852-1100.
Based on camper reviews, Beverly Campground is appreciated for its pleasant environment and the spacing between campsites. One reviewer noted that the sites are "spaced apart enough for some degree of privacy," which is a significant advantage for those seeking a more secluded camping experience away from the feeling of being too close to other campers. This layout allows for a greater sense of immersion in nature and personal space at your campsite.
The campground's proximity to the Teanaway River is mentioned, although access to the river from the campsites is noted as being "not easy" for most sites, with the exception of the "northernmost site." This suggests that while the river is a nearby natural feature, direct and convenient access might be limited depending on your campsite location. Campers interested in easy river access might want to inquire specifically about the northernmost site's availability when planning their trip.
In terms of facilities, Beverly Campground offers basic amenities suitable for a more rustic camping experience. One reviewer reported the presence of "2 clean porta-potties" in July 2017, indicating that restroom facilities are available, albeit of a simpler, non-plumbed variety. Another reviewer mentioned "simple bathrooms available" without further specification, which likely refers to similar basic facilities. It is important for campers to be prepared for this type of restroom arrangement.
A key point regarding water availability is that there is "no running water unless you count the nearby stream." This highlights the need for campers to bring their own potable water for drinking, cooking, and washing. If relying on the stream for any water needs (even for washing), it is crucial to have a reliable water filtration or purification method to ensure safety. The absence of a developed water system contributes to the campground's more primitive nature.
The campsites themselves are described as having "plenty of room for your tents as well as for pits and picnic tables." This suggests that the individual sites are reasonably spacious, accommodating multiple tents if needed and providing designated areas for campfires (in fire pits) and outdoor dining (at picnic tables). These are fundamental elements for a comfortable and traditional camping setup.
One potential environmental factor to be aware of is dust. A reviewer mentioned that the campground can occasionally get "dusty from jeep drivers taking the straightaways too fast." This suggests that there might be unpaved roads in or around the campground that can generate dust when vehicles, particularly off-road vehicles, travel at higher speeds. While the reviewer noted that overall it's a good place, being prepared for potential dust, especially during dry conditions or periods of higher traffic, might be advisable.
The general sentiment from the reviews is positive, with one reviewer summarizing it simply as, "It's a campsite!" This straightforward statement suggests that Beverly Campground provides the essential elements of a traditional camping experience in a natural setting without extensive frills or modern conveniences. It appeals to those who appreciate a more basic and nature-focused getaway.
Promotional information is not available within the provided reviews. To inquire about any potential fees, reservation policies (if any, as the reviews do not mention a reservation system, it might be first-come-first-serve for most sites), or specific guidelines for camping at Beverly Campground, it is recommended to contact them directly at the provided phone numbers. They will be able to offer the most up-to-date information regarding any costs associated with camping, rules and regulations, and availability, especially if the northernmost site with better river access is of interest.
In conclusion, Beverly Campground near Cle Elum, WA, offers a natural and relatively private "camping near me" experience. Its key features include spacious campsites, proximity to the Teanaway River (with varying degrees of access), basic amenities such as porta-potties, and a rustic environment with no running water. Campers should come prepared with their own water and be aware of potential dust from nearby vehicle traffic. The campground is ideal for those seeking a simple and nature-oriented camping trip with adequate space and a degree of privacy. Contacting the campground directly for the most current information on fees and regulations is recommended.

Beverly Campground Reviews
Nice campground, good sites spaced apart enough for some degree of privacy. Not easy access to Teanaway River from the camp sites except for the northern most site. 2 clean porta-potties were present (July 2017). Occasionally dusty from jeep drivers taking the straightaways too fast, but overall a good place to spend a few days.
