MT-200, Sandpoint, ID 83864, USA

4.0
Had no issues finding a spot - about 5 nice shady spots with short trails to the water. Be warned, a mouse made home from this location and was a pita to remove before he ate lots of curry powder and tissues. First time in 9 months having a rodent issue. I’d stay again for sure, but would be more careful in closing everything up. Bear box had gifts with was a big plus! - Katie Doane

This suggests a camping experience immersed in nature, offering relief from the sun and a tranquil atmosphere.

Being a "primitive campground" implies a focus on a more natural camping experience with fewer developed amenities compared to full-service campgrounds. The direct access to water enhances the recreational opportunities, and the presence of bear boxes provides peace of mind in wildlife territory.

The primitive nature of the campground suggests that campers should be prepared with their own supplies and be comfortable with basic amenities. However, the essential facilities like pit toilets and the added benefit of bear boxes make it a functional and safe option for those wanting to immerse themselves in the outdoors without the full infrastructure of a developed campground.
