Big Fork Campground Introduce
For local residents of Allardt, Tennessee, and the surrounding areas searching for 'camping near me', Big Fork Campground, located at 6469 Old Mt Helen Rd, Allardt, TN 38504, USA, presents itself as an option. You can reach them at (931) 879-6469 or their mobile number +1 931-879-6469 for inquiries. According to information provided by the campground itself, Big Fork Campground is an eight-year-old facility that prides itself on being "state of the art." A key feature highlighted is the presence of beautiful, separate men's and women's bathrooms equipped with tiled showers. The owners also indicate that they live on the premises.
The campground's statement includes a request to avoid confusion with a similarly named campground, suggesting that there might be another camping facility in the vicinity with a comparable name. This underscores the importance for local users to ensure they are contacting the correct Big Fork Campground when making inquiries or reservations. The owners also express gratitude for "all of the wonder reviews," implying that they have received positive feedback from previous guests, although these specific reviews are not provided in the given information.
However, a contrasting recent customer experience presents a less favorable perspective. This reviewer expressed extreme dissatisfaction, stating that if they could give less than one star, they surely would. Their negative experience stemmed from arriving for a reservation of almost two weeks to find that the owner was not present. The reviewer reported a significant delay in reaching the owner and described the subsequent interaction as impolite, with the owner allegedly showing a lack of concern for the business.
Given these limited and conflicting pieces of information, it is challenging to definitively describe the environment, services, and features of Big Fork Campground. However, we can infer some aspects based on the campground's own description and the negative review. The "state of the art" claim and the mention of beautiful, separate, tiled bathrooms with showers suggest that the campground aims to provide modern and well-maintained facilities, at least in terms of restrooms. The fact that the owners live on the premises could imply a greater level of personal attention and management of the campground.
The environment of Big Fork Campground is not explicitly described. Allardt, Tennessee, is located in a rural area of the state, suggesting that the campground is likely situated in a natural setting. Potential surroundings could include woodlands, fields, or proximity to local natural attractions. Local users familiar with the Allardt area might have a better understanding of the typical landscape in that region.
In terms of services, the availability of modern bathrooms with showers is a significant amenity. The campground's age (eight years) suggests that it is a relatively established facility. However, the negative review raises concerns about the reliability of management and the check-in process. Potential local users might want to inquire about check-in procedures and ensure that there will be someone available upon their arrival.
Features of Big Fork Campground, beyond the restrooms, are not detailed in the provided information. It is unknown whether they offer specific types of campsites (e.g., tent sites, RV sites with hookups), fire pits, picnic tables, or other common campground amenities. Local users should inquire about the specific features available to ensure they meet their camping needs.
There is no specific promotional information provided. Local users interested in any special rates, discounts, or seasonal offers should contact Big Fork Campground directly using the provided phone numbers.
For local residents searching for 'camping near me' in the Allardt area, Big Fork Campground presents a mixed picture based on the limited information available. The campground's own description suggests a modern facility with good restroom amenities and on-site owners. However, a recent negative review raises serious concerns about management responsiveness and customer service. Potential visitors should weigh these contrasting perspectives and consider contacting the campground directly to address any concerns and gather more detailed information about their specific needs.
It is crucial for local users to inquire about check-in procedures, the availability of staff upon arrival, the types of campsites offered, and all other amenities before making a reservation. Given the warning about potential confusion with a similarly named campground, double-checking the address and contact information is also advisable. While the promise of "state of the art" facilities is appealing, the reported negative experience highlights the importance of reliable management in ensuring a positive camping trip.
In conclusion, Big Fork Campground in Allardt, Tennessee, offers the potential for a modern camping experience with well-appointed restrooms. However, a recent negative review regarding management responsiveness warrants caution. Local users searching for 'camping near me' should contact the campground directly to obtain comprehensive information and address any concerns before making a reservation to ensure a satisfactory camping experience.

Big Fork Campground Reviews
However, please don’t confuse us with a campground that has a very similar name. And Thank you for all of the wonder reviews. Our Campground is eight years old and state of the art, beautiful separate men’s and women’s bathrooms with showers, all tile. And we live on the premises.
Nov 04, 2024 · Sandy AndrysIf I could give them less than one star I surely would. We had reservations for almost 2 weeks. However when we arrived the owner was not even there. Took forever to reach her. Then she was not very polite and didn't even seem to care about the business.
Oct 10, 2021 · Elizabeth GantIf you like a small horse campground with delightful amenities, this is your place. The barn has 14x14 foot stalls. The largest stalls that I have ever seen for a horse camp. The stalls had lighting and fans if you needed them. The bath house in the barn is nicer than my our at home. The trail head is only .8 miles straight down the gravel road beside the camp. No main road riding to get to the trail head. We will stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality.
