One of the standout features of Bluebird Campground is its commitment to maintaining a clean and well-kept environment. Recent reviews from satisfied customers consistently highlight the cleanliness of the grounds, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay for all visitors. This attention to detail creates a welcoming atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy your time outdoors without the concerns of untidy surroundings. The pride in ownership is evident, contributing to the overall positive experience of camping at Bluebird Campground.
For families with children, Bluebird Campground truly shines. A significant highlight is the great spring-fed pool, providing a refreshing and safe place for kids to splash and play during the warmer months. Unlike traditional chlorinated pools, the natural spring water offers a unique and enjoyable swimming experience. Beyond the pool, the campground caters to children with a very well-designed play area, packed with lots of activities to keep them entertained for hours. This focus on providing engaging activities for children makes Bluebird Campground an excellent choice for family camping trips, ensuring that kids have just as much fun as the adults.
Adding to the family-friendly appeal is the campground's dedication to creating memorable experiences. The karaoke night, as mentioned in a review, is just one example of the organized activities that bring campers together and foster a sense of community. These events provide opportunities for laughter, fun, and creating lasting memories, further enhancing the overall camping experience at Bluebird Campground.
Pet owners will also appreciate Bluebird Campground's pet-friendly policy. Recognizing that pets are often considered part of the family, the campground welcomes furry companions, allowing you to enjoy your camping trip without having to leave your beloved pets behind. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone can partake in the outdoor adventure. Remember to inquire about any specific pet guidelines or restrictions when making your reservation to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay for both you and your pet.
A unique and highly praised aspect of Bluebird Campground is its natural integration with the surrounding landscape. Despite accommodating larger recreational vehicles with their own amenities, the campground is designed in a way that allows these modern conveniences to blend seamlessly into the beautiful wooded environment. Unlike some campgrounds that can feel like parking lots, Bluebird Campground nestles its campers into the woods, providing a sense of immersion in nature and privacy. This thoughtful layout allows you to enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors without feeling overcrowded or visually overwhelmed by rows of RVs.
Perhaps one of the most remarkable and talked-about features of Bluebird Campground is the apparent absence of mosquitoes. According to a delighted camper, "There are no mosquitoes here. It’s so nice to enjoy a campfire without having to swat at mosquitoes all night." This is an exceptional benefit, particularly in Wisconsin where mosquitoes can often be a nuisance during the camping season. The ability to relax by the campfire, enjoy the evening air, and sleep peacefully without the annoyance of mosquito bites is a significant draw for many campers.
While one review mentioned the absence of a traditional swimming pool, it also highlighted a wonderful alternative: an artesian spring-filled swimming hole. This natural swimming area offers a unique and refreshing experience, connecting you directly with the natural water sources of the region. The clean and comfortable lodge further enhances the amenities available to campers. Inside, you'll find opportunities for indoor recreation, including dart games and a pool table, perfect for unwinding after a day of outdoor activities or socializing with fellow campers.
The Rec Hall bar and grill, now fully open, is another significant advantage of choosing Bluebird Campground. Having an on-site restaurant and bar adds a level of convenience and enjoyment to your camping experience. You can look forward to delicious meals without having to leave the campground. One reviewer highly recommended the Friday night fish fry, describing it as "one of the best I have eaten." The availability of great pizza, as mentioned by another camper, further highlights the quality and variety of food offered at the Rec Hall. Whether you're looking for a hearty meal after a day of hiking, a quick bite to eat, or a place to socialize in the evening, the on-site bar and grill provides a valuable amenity.

Great campground. Clean and well kept. Great spring fed pool for kids. Pet friendly. Bar/restaurant serves great pizza. Just camped on 13th & 14th. Oh if you find a Stanley water cup with kids stickers let me know my Daughter left it sitting somewhere there!
Sep 16, 2024 · Mike KleinerThis place is as natural as you can get even with people, pulling in huge rigs with their own showers and satellite TVs. All of that disappears into the beautiful landscape. Rather than having it look like a parking lot like some other campgrounds, campers are nestled into the woods. The strangest thing is that. There are no mosquitoes here. It’s so nice to enjoy a campfire without having to swat at mosquitoes all night. This place caters to the children, which is the way it should be. There is a very well designed play area for the children with lots of activities. The kids had a great time doing the karaoke night.Even though they don’t have a swimming pool, they have an artesian spring filled swimming hole. They have a very clean and comfortable lodge where you can find dart games and a pool table and a very excellent grill. We had the Friday night fish fry, which was one of the best I have eaten. Highly recommend!
May 29, 2023 · melissa clementsWe randomly found this place last year and have made a point to make this our regular place - minimal cell service and minimal wi-fi- (although it's not to dang bad IF you want to connect) - laid-back - fun - we've made friends every visit - dog friendly - have seen reviews from years past - an 100% feel that the new owners have made this a place to be! Can't wait to be back again!
May 29, 2023 · Megan HaglundGreat place for short and long stays. Great management and employees. Beautiful natural pool surrounded by forest, playground and sandy play areas. Yummy food and drinks on top of all!
May 25, 2023 · Maya CohenStopped in this past Friday for lunch. Can you say wow, been a few years since I have been there. The place is very clean and has had extensive work done. Staff was super friendly, and I just had a sandwich. It was really good. Heard they have a good fish fry, will come back for that. The campground looks very nice and clean.
