Boo and Bitty’s Campground Introduce
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Dayton, Tennessee area, Boo and Bitty’s Campground, located at 460 Pine Hollow Rd, Dayton, TN 37321, USA, offers a seemingly pleasant and convenient option, particularly for those with smaller recreational vehicles or tents. Based on the limited but insightful reviews, this campground appears to prioritize a peaceful atmosphere and ease of access to the surrounding area. However, potential visitors, especially those with larger RVs, should be aware of certain road conditions that might pose a challenge.
The environment at Boo and Bitty’s Campground is described as "very quiet," suggesting a tranquil setting where campers can enjoy a peaceful retreat. One reviewer noted the presence of "nice level sites," which is a significant advantage for ensuring a comfortable and stable setup for both RVs and tents. Level sites contribute to a more enjoyable camping experience by making it easier to level vehicles and provide a flat surface for tents and outdoor furniture. While the specific natural surroundings are not extensively detailed, the location in Dayton, Tennessee, suggests a setting that could include wooded areas or proximity to the scenic landscapes of the region. The emphasis on quietness implies a campground that values a serene and relaxing atmosphere, potentially away from heavy traffic or noise. For local users seeking a peaceful "camping near me" experience, Boo and Bitty’s Campground seems to offer a calm and comfortable environment.
In terms of services, the reviews provide some positive indicators. One reviewer specifically mentioned the "nice level sites," which can be considered a basic but essential service contributing to a positive camping experience. The fact that the campground allowed a reservation without an advance charge and did not penalize a no-show suggests a customer-friendly approach to service. While specific amenities like restrooms, showers, or hookups are not detailed, the positive feedback regarding the level sites and the convenient location implies that essential services are likely provided. However, the crucial point raised by one reviewer concerns the road leading to the campground, which is described as "not built for most RVs." This is a critical piece of information for potential RV campers to consider. It suggests that the road might be narrow, have sharp turns, or be otherwise unsuitable for larger recreational vehicles, potentially causing difficulty in accessing the campground. Campers with smaller vehicles or tents might not be affected by this issue. It is advisable for those with RVs to inquire about the road conditions before making a reservation. The same reviewer also noted potential issues with GPS navigation, stating that "Google/maps doesn’t do a good job of directing & you might lose signal." This suggests that reaching the campground might require careful attention to directions, possibly needing offline maps or printed instructions as a backup.
The key features of Boo and Bitty’s Campground, based on the limited reviews, include its "nice level sites" and a "very quiet" atmosphere, making it appealing for those seeking a peaceful camping experience. The convenience of its location is also mentioned as a positive aspect, although the specific conveniences are not detailed (e.g., proximity to attractions, stores). However, the significant feature that potential visitors must be aware of is the road access, which may not be suitable for most RVs. This could be a major deciding factor for RV owners looking for "camping near me." Additionally, the potential for GPS signal loss and inaccurate directions from online maps is a noteworthy feature that requires careful planning for navigation to the campground. The apparent flexibility in reservations (no advance charge, no fee for a no-show) could also be considered a positive feature reflecting the campground's customer service approach.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, based on the positive aspects mentioned, potential promotional angles for Boo and Bitty’s Campground could focus on its quiet and peaceful atmosphere, the comfort of the level campsites, and its convenient location for exploring the Dayton area (specific attractions would need to be highlighted). For tent campers and those with smaller vehicles, these features could be particularly appealing. However, any promotional material must also honestly address the potential challenges regarding road access for larger RVs and the possibility of GPS navigation issues. Transparency about these limitations is crucial for managing expectations and ensuring a positive experience for all campers. Potential promotions could suggest contacting the campground directly for detailed directions and road condition information, especially for RV owners.
To obtain more comprehensive information about Boo and Bitty’s Campground, including specific amenities, the number and types of campsites, hookup availability, restroom and shower facilities, and detailed directions considering the GPS issues, local users should contact the campground directly at (423) 799-1250 or +1 423-799-1250. It would be particularly important for RV owners to inquire about the road conditions and whether the campground can accommodate their vehicle size. Asking for specific directions or landmarks to aid in navigation would also be prudent given the reported GPS inaccuracies. Speaking directly with the owners or staff can provide the most accurate and up-to-date information to help plan a visit and avoid potential access or navigation issues.
In conclusion, Boo and Bitty’s Campground near Dayton, TN, offers a "camping near me" option characterized by its quiet environment and nice level sites, suggesting a comfortable and peaceful stay. Its convenient location is also a plus. However, potential visitors, especially those with larger RVs, must be aware of the reported challenges with the road leading to the campground. Additionally, reliance on GPS navigation might be problematic due to potential signal loss and inaccurate directions. It is highly recommended that interested local users contact Boo and Bitty’s Campground directly to inquire about road conditions, specific amenities, and detailed directions before making a reservation, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable camping experience.

Boo and Bitty’s Campground Reviews
Great little campground. Nice level sites, very quiet and convenient. I will be back when I am in the area.
Mar 07, 2021 · b boI am sure that this place has wonderful staff & the grounds are neat but I have to say that the road leading to the campgrounds isn’t built for most RVs and I feel compelled to let others know. Also Google/maps doesn’t do a good job of directing & you might lose signal. My apologies to the owners! I understand that they aren’t responsible for all roads leading to their campsites & they let us make a reservation with no advance charge and did not charge for no show, etc… again I only wish we would have know about roads and possible signal loss…
Jul 27, 2023 · Pamela LemmonsI stayed with Boo and Bitty last year while fishing for a tournament. Nice place to park if you need a safe, clean, reasonably priced camp spot. The owner is a very nice fellow and offered to help in any way that he could when I got there. . I caught him cutting grass when I got there, paid him, set up and went and went fishing. Saw a lot of deer in the evenings when I retuned and when I left again in the mornings. Peaceful place on top of a hill.
Oct 10, 2020 · Michael MooneyRate the campground a 4, overall experience a 5. If you are looking for a resort this may not be for you, no laundry, no pool, no cable. However price is great, less than half the price of the rv resort down the road. The sites are large and level. The campground is very scenic, well maintained and very quite. Our site number 7 is the prettiest We have had in 2 years on the road. We love it! Have seen deer and woodchuck. Sit outside with a fire and peace. Well worth the price charged. Gave it a 5 because of what happened before we even saw our site. We were late and very tired, my husband misjudged the approach to the campground driveway and overcorrected to pull into the drive and got us stuck on the side of the road after several days of heavy rain. The owners live nearby, had been looking for us. Saw our situation and Pulled our 16,000 lb fifthwheel out of a bad situation with their tractor. Would not accept payment for their time or equipment. Then followed us to our site in the dark and helped us get into our site. Last, great location. 5 minutes to the lake!
