Eagle Hammock RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Eagle Hammock RV Park, a highly regarded RV destination located at 937 USS Daniel Webster Rd, Kings Bay Base, GA 31547, USA. For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Kings Bay area of Georgia, particularly those with military access or seeking a secure and amenity-rich environment within a unique setting, Eagle Hammock RV Park offers an exceptional experience. It is crucial to understand from the outset, based on customer feedback, that this RV park is situated on a Navy base (Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay), and therefore, access to the base is a prerequisite for staying at the park.
One long-term guest, who extended their stay due to their positive experience, highlights several appealing features of Eagle Hammock RV Park. The park boasts "beautiful bike trails under huge trees tripping with Spanish moss," creating a picturesque and enjoyable environment for leisurely rides and nature appreciation. The presence of a "sizable fishing lake" offers another significant recreational opportunity for guests who enjoy angling.
For those who may not have an RV or are traveling with non-RVing companions, the availability of cabin rentals within the park provides a versatile accommodation option. This expands the appeal of Eagle Hammock beyond just RV enthusiasts.
A significant advantage of being located on a Navy base is the feeling of extreme safety and security, as noted by the reviewer. While Kings Bay Base is described as large, akin to a city in size, the inherent security measures of a military installation provide peace of mind for guests. The reviewer also mentions the "fancy" commissary on base, which offers a wide range of goods, including a sushi chef. However, they also note that some items may be smaller due to military distribution standards, which is a minor consideration for those utilizing the base amenities.
The long-term guest concludes by stating that, among military RV parks, Eagle Hammock is at the top of their list, indicating a high level of satisfaction compared to other similar facilities.
Another reviewer recounts their accidental discovery of Eagle Hammock RV Park after a power outage during their trip. Their experience highlights the importance of understanding base access procedures before attempting to enter. After successfully navigating base security and confirming availability, they were able to reserve a site and set up camp.
This reviewer enthusiastically details several valuable amenities included as part of the experience at Eagle Hammock RV Park. These include free laundry facilities, which, as mentioned with other military RV parks, is a significant cost-saving and convenience for travelers. Guests also have access to a kitchen, providing a space for meal preparation beyond their RV's capabilities. The availability of additional fridge space is another thoughtful amenity, particularly useful for longer stays or those with specific storage needs.
The RV sites themselves offer full hookups, ensuring that guests have access to essential utilities such as water, electricity, and sewer connections. The reviewer also mentions "water views," suggesting that many campsites offer scenic vistas of nearby bodies of water, enhancing the overall ambiance of the park.
The positive experience is further attributed to the "really friendly/active host and maintenance staff." A welcoming and helpful staff can greatly contribute to a pleasant stay, addressing any needs or concerns promptly and efficiently. The reviewer explicitly states that they "loved our time here" and look forward to returning, noting that the park "fills up quickly," underscoring its popularity and desirability.
Given its location on a military installation, access to Eagle Hammock RV Park is restricted to authorized individuals. This typically includes active duty military personnel, retirees, Department of Defense civilians, and their eligible dependents. Guests may need to provide identification and vehicle registration at the base security checkpoint and may be subject to background checks or specific entry procedures. It is imperative for potential guests to confirm their eligibility for base access and understand the necessary procedures before planning a stay at Eagle Hammock RV Park.
While the reviews do not mention specific promotional offers or discounts, the inclusion of numerous valuable amenities such as free laundry, kitchen access, and potentially water views, coupled with the secure environment and scenic location, likely provides excellent value for those eligible to stay. The popularity of the park, as indicated by it filling up quickly, suggests that the overall experience justifies the cost (if any, as military RV parks sometimes have very reasonable rates for authorized personnel).
For those who meet the eligibility requirements for accessing Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, Eagle Hammock RV Park appears to be a top-tier RV destination offering a blend of natural beauty, recreational opportunities (bike trails, fishing lake), convenient amenities, a secure environment, and friendly service. The availability of cabin rentals further broadens its appeal.
To obtain specific information regarding reservations, eligibility for base access, current rates, and any specific rules or regulations for Eagle Hammock RV Park, interested individuals should contact the park directly at (912) 573-5262 or +1 912-573-5262. Due to its location on a military installation, it is also advisable to inquire about any required documentation or procedures for gaining entry to the base.
In conclusion, Eagle Hammock RV Park offers a unique and highly desirable RV experience for those with authorized access to Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base. Its beautiful environment, including scenic trails and a fishing lake, coupled with valuable amenities like free laundry and kitchen access, a secure setting, and positive guest feedback, make it a top choice among military RV parks. Remember to confirm base access eligibility and make reservations in advance to enjoy this exceptional RV destination.

Eagle Hammock RV Park Reviews
I have extended my stay because we love this RV park. Beautiful bike trails under huge trees tripping with spanish moss. Sizable fishing lake. You can rent cabins too. I feel extremely safe on a Navy base. Though this one is huge. Like city size. The commissary is fancy, sushi chef, and everything. I think some item are smaller. Made that way for military distribution. Which is bs. But i'm degressing. For military RV parks, this one is at the top of my list.
Feb 07, 2025 · Rain WallaceAccidentally found this RV park after we lost power on our trip. After getting through base security (know if you have access before attempting) and confirming they had availability, we reserved our site and setup.Free laundry, kitchen access, additional fridge space, full hookups, water views and a really friendly/active host and maintenance staff are all part of the experience. We loved our time here and look forward to camping again when we can. This place fills up quickly and we see why!
Oct 02, 2024 · LoganEagle Hammock has the best set up. Spacious lots, amazing lake views, lots of wildlife to enjoy. Amenities are great. Clean bath house and great community center. Even have a community garden. I have been in the area since 2021 and traveled around and this place is safe, comfy and cozy. A great place to stay.
Mar 07, 2024 · Ryan HolmanVery windy off the lake, but beautiful. Nice cement slab sites with lots of room for RV. A little close together but normal for RV Park. Wifi is strong on the spot we were at. Little kids park, restrooms were super clean.
Oct 19, 2024 · Jason FitzpatrickWe've used Eagle Hammock as our wintering RV spot. Each site features a concrete pad and large patio area. Electric at each site is 50/30/20 amp with all but the newer lakefront area including cable TV hookup. A large lake and walking or biking paths are nearby and allow for nice walks through the woods or along the main access road. Fairly expensive as military campgrounds are concerned and there is no monthly discounted rate. Staff at the main office have always gone out of their way to accommodate our scheduled arrivals and departures. If camping in hurricane season, be prepared to vacate with your RV as the campground is mandated to be cleared for an incoming storm when the base commander deems it necessary. Loop roads in the campground are gravel and often littered with potholes, making driving a rough mess.
