Bountiful Peak Campground Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" in the Mountain Green, Utah area and considering a mountain getaway? Bountiful Peak Campground, located on Bountiful Peak Campground Rd, Mountain Green, UT 84050, USA, offers a potentially scenic camping experience. However, recent reviews indicate significant issues regarding accessibility, essential services, and noise levels that prospective visitors should be aware of before planning their trip.
One reviewer detailed the condition of the access road leading to the campground, noting that "the last 1/2 mile from the three way to campground entrance is rutted and rocky." While their 2011 Subaru Outback managed the terrain by driving slowly, this suggests that vehicles with lower clearance or those not driven with caution might encounter difficulties. This information is crucial for potential campers to assess the suitability of their vehicles for reaching the campground. The challenging road conditions could deter some visitors or necessitate careful driving.
Furthermore, the same reviewer reported significant problems with essential services as of July 8, 2024. Notably, "water is not turned on," which is a fundamental requirement for any campground. The lack of potable water can severely impact the camping experience, affecting cooking, hygiene, and overall comfort. Additionally, the reviewer stated that "the outhouses have not been pumped out so they are still full with snow melt water." This indicates unsanitary and potentially unusable restroom facilities, posing a health risk and significantly detracting from the camping experience. The fact that there was "no eta in water being turned on or outhouses being pumped" at the time of the review suggests that these issues were not being addressed promptly and could persist.
The reviewer also mentioned that these service disruptions ("water not turned on" and "outhouses not pumped") "holds true for the reservable group site" as well. This implies that even larger groups planning to camp at Bountiful Peak Campground would face the same lack of essential amenities, making it potentially unsuitable for group outings unless visitors are fully self-sufficient and prepared to handle these limitations.
In addition to the concerns about accessibility and essential services, another reviewer raised the issue of noise. They reported "lots of noise from motorcycles, people’s music, etc." While they acknowledged that the location itself "is nice up there though," the noise pollution could detract from the peacefulness and tranquility that many campers seek in a natural environment. The presence of loud motorcycles and music suggests a potentially disruptive atmosphere, especially for those hoping for a quiet and relaxing camping experience.
Considering these reviews, Bountiful Peak Campground offers a location that is described as "nice up there," implying scenic beauty and a potentially pleasant natural environment. However, this is significantly overshadowed by the reported issues with the access road, the lack of running water, the unsanitary condition of the outhouses (as of early July 2024), and the noise disturbances from motorcycles and music. These are critical factors that potential campers must take into account.
For individuals searching for "camping near me," Bountiful Peak Campground might seem appealing due to its mountain location. However, the current conditions, particularly the lack of water and the state of the restrooms, make it a potentially problematic choice unless these issues have been resolved. Campers accustomed to even basic campground amenities would likely find these conditions unacceptable. Furthermore, the noise concerns could detract from the overall enjoyment of the natural setting.
There is no information provided in the reviews about specific services or features beyond the presence of outhouses (albeit in poor condition) and a reservable group site. Details about individual campsites, fire pits, picnic tables, trash disposal, or on-site management are not mentioned. Similarly, there is no information regarding any promotional offers or camping fees in these reviews. Prospective visitors would need to contact the campground directly at (385) 273-1100 or +1 385-273-1100 to inquire about the current status of water and restroom facilities, road conditions, noise levels, campsite amenities, fees, and reservation procedures.
In conclusion, while Bountiful Peak Campground may offer a "nice" mountain environment, recent reports indicate significant drawbacks, including a rutted access road, a lack of running water, unsanitary outhouses (as of early July 2024), and noise disturbances. Potential campers searching for "camping near me" in the Mountain Green, UT area should exercise caution and thoroughly investigate the current conditions of the campground by contacting the management directly before making any plans. Unless the issues with water and restrooms have been resolved and noise levels are better managed, Bountiful Peak Campground may not provide a satisfactory camping experience.

Bountiful Peak Campground Reviews
The last 1/2 mile from the three way to campground entrance is rutted and rocky. Our 2011 Subaru Outback made it no problem if we took it slow. Water is not turned on as of 7/8/2024 and the outhouses have not been pumped out so they are still full with snow melt water. No eta in water being turned on or outhouses being pumped. Same holds true for the reservable group site.

Aug 26, 2022 · Trevor LShort but scary drive up canyon to campground which is well equipped with fire pit and picnic tables and “long drop” toilets. Also fault close to FARMINGTON lakes...another short hike to mountain lake
