The environment of Burbach Campground is clearly a major draw, particularly its proximity to a lake with a "big enough beach for us to swim in." This suggests a significant waterfront area that provides opportunities for swimming and other water-related activities. The presence of a lake also implies potential for fishing, as mentioned in one of the reviews ("plenty of room for the family to play games and run around and fish"). The campground seems to offer ample space for families to enjoy outdoor games and for children to run around, indicating a spacious and open layout. While one review mentions being "buggy most years," this is a common consideration for lakeside environments, and it's something local users familiar with the area might anticipate and prepare for. Despite this minor caveat, the overall environment seems conducive to a fun and relaxing outdoor experience, with a focus on lake access and family activities.
In terms of services, Burbach Campground caters to different accommodation needs. The availability of "multiple cabins in a row" suggests that the campground offers cabin rentals, which are described as "nicer than expected" and equipped with amenities like heaters and extra blankets ("plenty of extra blankets in case you got cold but the heater worked well"). This provides a comfortable alternative to tent camping, especially for those seeking more shelter and convenience. The mention of "camping spots for grandparents to bring their camper" indicates that the campground also offers traditional RV camping sites. This versatility in accommodation types makes Burbach Campground suitable for multi-generational family trips where different members might have varying preferences for lodging. While the reviews don't explicitly detail other services like restroom facilities, showers, or hookups for RVs, the positive overall experience suggests that these essential amenities are likely available and well-maintained. Local users planning to camp with RVs should inquire about the specific types of hookups offered at the camping spots.
The features of Burbach Campground are geared towards family enjoyment and outdoor recreation. The "big enough beach for us to swim in" is a significant feature, providing a safe and enjoyable space for water activities. The ample room for games and running around indicates open areas suitable for various outdoor pastimes. The opportunity for fishing in the lake is another key feature, appealing to anglers of all ages. For those staying in the cabins, the comfort of the accommodations, including heaters and extra blankets, is a notable feature, ensuring a pleasant stay even during cooler evenings. The availability of multiple cabins in a row makes it ideal for larger families or groups who want to stay close to each other. The fact that the campground can accommodate both cabin rentals and RV camping spots is a significant feature, catering to a wider range of camping preferences. The positive experiences shared in the reviews suggest a well-managed campground with a focus on creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for families.

Burbach Campground Reviews
We stay here yearly with family. We take multiple cabins in a row. Other than being buggy most years everything is great. Plenty of room for the family to play games and run around and fish. Big enough beach for us to swim in. Camping spots for grandparents to bring their camper. Just a great time!
Jul 05, 2024 · Mike Sommer iiiThe cabins were nicer than expected. I will definitely be back and stay in the cabins. They also had plenty of extra blankets in case you got cold but the heater worked well in the cabins so we didn't need it.
Nov 22, 2023 · Ben KittrellWe have stayed in the Burbach cabins multiple times now and they are always clean and maintained. They are right off the water and have great views. This is a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend.
Nov 05, 2022 · Amanda WaskelGreat view of lake, very clean as well, beds were super comfy, great place for a bachelor party, will rent again if in area!
Apr 26, 2024 · Chris WalkinsWell maintained, heavily wooded RV campground. Sites are reasonably spaced, asphalt pads with 30/20 amp service, no water. There may be sites with 50a and water/sewer too, but majority do not. There are also some very nice spacious cabins on site that sit right along the shoreline looking right at the water. There are tent sites as well. Camper sites are back a bit further from the water in well shaded locations, an easy walk the waters edge. This campground is inside of a NE state park, so an entry fee is required. Day passes or an annual pass are your options. NE residents pay $6 for a day pass or $8 for non-residents. Annual pass for non-resident is $45. There is a marina and boat dock, ice, dump stations, etc.The roads getting here are bumpy as h**l so take them slow. There are several good restaurants nearby. I recommend CJ's at the Lake and Murdo's.
