Burns RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "camping near me" specifically catering to RV travelers in the Marlinton, West Virginia area, Burns RV Park, located on Rt 219, Seneca Trail, Marlinton, WV 24954, USA, with phone numbers (304) 799-6149 and +1 304-799-6149, presents a convenient and economical option. Based on customer reviews, this is a small, privately owned campground offering essential full hookups for recreational vehicles, making it a suitable base for exploring the scenic beauty and local attractions of Pocahontas County.
The environment surrounding Burns RV Park is likely characterized by the natural charm of West Virginia. Situated on Seneca Trail (Rt 219), a known scenic route, the park offers potential for beautiful surroundings and easy access to the region's attractions. Marlinton is located in a mountainous area, suggesting that Burns RV Park may be nestled amidst rolling hills or within a valley. The proximity to Seneca Trail also implies convenient access for those traveling through the area. While the immediate environment within the park is described as a "quaint plot of land," the broader area offers opportunities to experience West Virginia's natural beauty, including forests, rivers, and scenic overlooks.
The primary service offered at Burns RV Park is the provision of full hookup RV sites. According to reviews, each of the 16 sites is equipped with 50 AMP electrical service, as well as water and sewer connections. These full hookups are a significant advantage for RVers, allowing for comfortable and self-contained stays without the need to rely on campground facilities for essential utilities. The reviews explicitly mention the absence of certain facilities, specifically noting "no facilities (bath or laundry)" and that the Wi-Fi, while present, was locked (though the reviewer did not inquire about the password). This indicates that Burns RV Park caters primarily to self-sufficient RV travelers who have their own onboard bathroom and laundry facilities.
The key features of Burns RV Park include its 16 individual sites, each offering 50 AMP electrical service, water hookups, and sewer hookups. This combination of full utilities makes it a convenient choice for RVers seeking a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The small size of the park ("quaint plot of land with 16 spots," "nice little 16 site private campground") suggests a more intimate and potentially quieter camping experience compared to larger RV resorts. The positive mentions of Mr. Burns, the owner, being "super friendly" and personally meeting guests upon arrival, even at later hours (5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. were noted), highlight a welcoming and personalized level of service. The park is described as "very economical" and a "suitable place for a short stay or if you are self-sufficient," emphasizing its value for those needing a functional base for exploring the area.
The location of Burns RV Park on Seneca Trail is also a significant feature, providing easy access to local sights. Reviewers specifically mentioned using the park as a base for visiting attractions such as the Cass Scenic Railroad, the Green Bank Observatory, and the fireworks at Snowshoe Mountain, indicating its strategic location for exploring the region's highlights. The fact that one reviewer had been coming to the area for years but was unaware of the park suggests it might be a somewhat lesser-known but valuable option for RVers.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the positive testimonials regarding the friendly owner, full hookups, and economical pricing serve as implicit endorsements. The fact that it was a suitable option for a last-minute trip during a busy holiday weekend (4th of July) suggests potential availability even during peak seasons, although booking in advance is always recommended. To inquire about specific rates, availability, and any potential discounts for longer stays, it is best to contact Burns RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers: (304) 799-6149 or +1 304-799-6149. Potential guests may also want to inquire about the Wi-Fi password if connectivity is a concern.

Burns RV Park Reviews
Mr. Burns has a quaint plot of land with 16 spots. 50 AMP, Full H/U. He was super friendly and met us at the site when we pilled in around 5:30 p.m. We camped for 3 nights 12/25-12/28. No facilities (bath or laundry), wifi came up as locked, but I never reached out for a password to see if I could connect. Overall, this is a suitable place for a short stay or if you are self-sufficient.
Dec 30, 2024 · Nikki ChasteenBeen coming to the area for years, but didn't know this was here... it is a nice little 16 site private campground with 50 amp, water and sewer hookups... we just needed a place to camp 4th of July 2021 so we could take in some local sights like Cass Railroad, Greenbank Observatory and the fireworks at Snowshoe Mtn. It doesn't have a bathhouse, but with full hookups, we're pretty self sufficient. Mr. Burns met us at the site at 9:30pm as we arrived and made sure we were ok and getting settled... very economical place for a last minute trip to the area to take in Gods creation!
Nov 08, 2021 · Jason SwannWe have been coming here for years and it is so peaceful and calming,. Full hookups and dog-friendly you could not ask for a better place to park your RV. Mr. Burns will do everything he can to accommodate you and make sure you are comfortable, very kind man. I checked for RV spots in other areas in marlington and he has the only Park available in winter. We will be back next year and many years to come!!!
Jan 30, 2023 · Timothy HallWonderful winter camping experience. Camped the week of Jan 18th. 2021 in our 24 ft. Keystone Premier. The only campground available for winter camping near Snowshoe. Mr. Burns the owner had everything ready when we arrived. Had full hookups available. Small campground and very quiet. Only two other campers. About 40 minutes from Snowshoe Village. The town of Marlington is quite quaint too.
