Camp Cedar RV Resort Introduce
Looking for an exciting and convenient camping experience in your local area? Camp Cedar RV Resort, located at 5158 Kings Island Dr, Mason, OH 45040, offers a fantastic option for those searching under the 'camping near me' category, especially if you're planning a visit to the renowned Kings Island amusement park. You can reach them at (513) 701-9635 or +1 513-701-9635 to book your stay and inquire about their various accommodations and amenities.
The environment of Camp Cedar RV Resort appears to be geared towards providing a comfortable and amenity-rich stay for visitors, particularly those drawn to the proximity of Kings Island. While the natural landscape isn't the primary focus as it might be at a state park, the resort offers a well-maintained and organized setting. One reviewer who stayed in a cabin described it as "super impressed by how clean and comfortable it was," suggesting a focus on providing quality accommodations. The mention of a pool area indicates that the resort offers recreational facilities on-site, providing opportunities for relaxation and fun during your stay. The overall impression is that Camp Cedar RV Resort prioritizes convenience and comfort for its guests, particularly those looking to combine their camping experience with a visit to the adjacent amusement park.
Camp Cedar RV Resort offers a range of services and features designed to enhance the guest experience. One of the standout features, highly praised by a reviewer, is the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. According to the review, the staff is "beyond friendly" and willing to assist guests. This positive feedback regarding staff interaction suggests a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere at the resort. Another significant feature is the availability of cabin rentals, which are noted for their cleanliness and comfort, providing a more structured and potentially climate-controlled accommodation option compared to traditional tent camping.
The resort boasts a "great" pool area, offering a place to cool off and relax. The mention of lifeguards on duty suggests a commitment to safety for guests enjoying the pool facilities. Interestingly, there is also an adults-only pool, which can be a desirable feature for those seeking a quieter and more relaxed swimming experience away from younger children. This thoughtful inclusion caters to a wider range of guest preferences.
Perhaps one of the most significant features, especially for those planning to visit Kings Island, is the availability of a "free bus to Kings Island." This complimentary shuttle service eliminates the hassle of parking at the amusement park and provides a convenient and stress-free way to access the attractions. This is a major advantage for guests looking to maximize their time at the park without worrying about transportation logistics. The convenience of a free shuttle directly to a major attraction like Kings Island is a significant promotional point for Camp Cedar RV Resort.
While one reviewer noted that the online pictures might not be extensive enough for detailed planning based on space, they did confirm that a group of eight adults could sleep comfortably in their accommodation. This suggests that the resort offers options suitable for larger groups, although it might be beneficial for potential guests to seek more detailed information or photos of specific accommodation types to ensure they meet their needs.
One area where a reviewer noted a negative experience was with the service at the bar and grill, describing it as "terrible." This is an important piece of objective feedback that potential guests should be aware of. While the overall experience was positive enough for the reviewer to consider returning, the poor service at the dining facility is a point of concern. It might be prudent for guests to have alternative dining plans or inquire if improvements have been made to the bar and grill service.
Despite the issue with the bar and grill service, the overall sentiment from the reviews is positive, with one reviewer emphatically stating, "Definitely come check this place out u won’t be disappointed." This strong recommendation, coupled with the praise for the clean and comfortable cabins, the friendly staff, the great pool areas (including an adults-only option), and the invaluable free shuttle to Kings Island, serves as compelling promotional information for Camp Cedar RV Resort.
For local users searching for 'camping near me' who are considering a visit to Kings Island or simply looking for a well-equipped RV resort with cabin rentals and excellent amenities, Camp Cedar RV Resort presents a strong option. The combination of comfortable accommodations, friendly service, on-site recreational facilities, and the exceptional convenience of the free shuttle to a major amusement park makes it a highly attractive destination for families, couples, and groups alike. While the potential issue with the bar and grill service should be noted, the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding other aspects of the resort suggests a high likelihood of a satisfying stay.
To make the most of your stay at Camp Cedar RV Resort, local users may want to consider the following:
- Inquire About Accommodation Options: If you have specific needs regarding the size or layout of a cabin or RV site, contact the resort directly for detailed information and possibly photos.
- Confirm Shuttle Schedule: If you plan to use the free shuttle to Kings Island, inquire about its operating hours and frequency to plan your park visits accordingly.
- Explore Dining Options: Given the feedback about the bar and grill, consider alternative dining options either within the resort (if available) or in the surrounding Mason area.
- Take Advantage of Amenities: Make time to enjoy the pool areas, especially the adults-only pool if applicable, and any other recreational facilities the resort might offer.
- Book in Advance: Especially during peak season and around major events at Kings Island, it is highly recommended to book your stay well in advance to secure your preferred accommodation.

Camp Cedar RV Resort Reviews
This place is so amazing! We stayed in a cabin and were super impressed by how clean and comfortable it was. The staff here is beyond friendly and will definitely help u . I am interested in industrial laundry and the manager took me down and showed me the laundry room where they do the cabin linens and towels. Super cool. The pool is great when cars r not driving into it. The lifeguards r really nice and the one guy Kyle was really friendly and cute. They have an adults only pool which was cool. And a free bus to kings island can’t beat it. Definitely come check this place out u won’t be disappointed
Apr 18, 2025 · Big web 45It was fine for a night. Not really a lot of pictures to try to plan a weekend trip based off space. However we did manage to get 8 grown me to all sleep comfortably. Would be five stars on service but the bar and grill was terrible with service. All in all we will probably go again.
May 03, 2025 · Justin JohnsonBeautiful campus, excellent pool, great staff. We were a little disappointed you can't bring your own alcohol into the pool and were subject to their overpriced drinks, but that was overshadowed by our kid's enjoyment. The pool is very well suited to toddlers - a key metric in our search. Excellent place to park a camper for a stay in the cinci area.
Jan 16, 2025 · Preston GainesWe really enjoyed staying here during the King’s Island Winterfest. We loved having family under the same roof and more in the cabin across from us, making it easy for the kids to safely go back and forth. The only complaint we heard from anyone was the low head room in the loft area.
Dec 22, 2024 · Jennifer BurtonWe can't help but feel we were gouged by Camp Cedar. We were quoted a price of $66.40 with an AAA discount. When we called the day we checked in, it was more. When we actually checked in, it was $82.80. This included a "resort fee." It is December, and none of those resort amenities are available. We specifically asked about the water hookup. He said they have winterized water hookups but assigned us a site with no water. We had to call the office and move. Then we went to eat at the Ironwood restaurant. The waitress recommended the sweet potato fries as I was deciding on which side I wanted, but failed to mention there was a $2.00 upcharge for them. We won't be back and shared this information with a number of friends who will be traveling this way in a few weeks. They will not be staying here either. The sites are nice, but we don't like feeling taken advantage of!
