Jul 25, 2024 · Steven HaffnerWhen I recalling my experiences with Camp Howe, there is a long list of admirable things that come to my mind. The very top of this list, without question, has to be their leadership staff (camp director, and a core group of counsors). They are kind, competent, and passionate about their work. They consistently strive to ensure children (and fellow staff) have an environment that is fun and exciting, as well as safe and educational. From what I have seen and heard, they meet, and often exceed this goal. The leaders camaraderie, communication, and commitment to their campers was immediately apparent, even once the children have gone home. You can tell they share their fearless leader's drive to give campers the best experiences they possibly can.In short, I feel that this world could use more people like the ones I had the pleasure of meeting at Camp Howe.I would give more stars if possible!
Aug 27, 2021 · Tyber OborneCamp Howe needs some modern updates and safety additions and amenities, though from everything I know about it, this is a great camp for kids in the summer. Right next to the DAR state park, this makes a good side-companion to family camping adventures.
