Cedar Valley Campground Introduce
For local residents in the Kewaunee, Wisconsin area, and those searching within the "camping near me" category for a family-friendly campground with amenities like a pool and splash pad, Cedar Valley Campground, located at N5098 Cedar Valley Rd #9764, Kewaunee, WI 54216, USA, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While some visitors have praised the campground for its beautiful sites and family-oriented atmosphere, others have reported negative experiences with staff interactions, particularly concerning day use of the pool facilities.
The environment of Cedar Valley Campground is described by one reviewer as having "beautiful, large sites," suggesting that campers can expect spacious areas for setting up their tents or RVs. The property is also noted to be "well-maintained," indicating that the grounds are generally kept in good condition. A significant feature of the environment is the presence of a "fun pool and splash pad/wading pool," making it an attractive option for families with children looking to enjoy water activities during their camping trip. Additionally, the campground boasts an on-site "pub," which is highlighted as "a great place to get food and drinks after setting up your site," offering a convenient dining and social option for campers. The mention of strictly observed quiet hours further suggests an environment that prioritizes peace and rest, which is appreciated by those seeking a relaxing camping experience away from a "party" atmosphere.
In terms of services, Cedar Valley Campground provides clean restrooms, which is a fundamental and often appreciated amenity. The availability of a pool and splash pad caters to recreational needs, especially for families. The on-site pub offers the convenience of food and beverage options without having to leave the campground. The strict enforcement of quiet hours can be seen as a service that ensures a peaceful environment for all campers. However, one negative review raises concerns about the management of day use for the pool. This reviewer recounted an experience of being scolded for using the pool when the front desk was not open, being charged a fee that was perceived as high compared to local aquatic centers with more amenities, and then being informed of an early pool closure due to the owner's "prior commitments." This account suggests potential inconsistencies or issues with communication and customer service regarding day use of the pool facilities.
The features of Cedar Valley Campground include the large and well-maintained campsites, which can accommodate various camping setups. The fun pool and splash pad are key features for family entertainment. The on-site pub provides a unique amenity for a campground, offering a social hub and dining convenience. The strict adherence to quiet hours ensures a restful environment, appealing to families and those seeking a peaceful retreat. However, the negative review highlights potential drawbacks such as rude staff interactions and what was perceived as overpriced and poorly managed day use of the pool, including unexpected closures. These inconsistencies in service quality could be a significant factor for local users considering this campground, especially if they are interested in day use of the pool or value consistent and positive staff interactions.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the available reviews. Local users interested in learning about camping rates, availability, seasonal specials, or any promotions related to the pool or pub should contact Cedar Valley Campground directly using the provided phone numbers: (920) 388-4983 or +1 920-388-4983. It would be prudent to inquire about the campground's policies regarding day use of the pool, associated fees, and operating hours, especially in light of the negative experience reported in one of the reviews. Understanding these policies will help local users make an informed decision based on their specific needs and expectations.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Kewaunee area, Cedar Valley Campground offers the appeal of large, well-maintained sites and family-friendly amenities such as a pool, splash pad, and an on-site pub. The commitment to quiet hours is a significant plus for those seeking a peaceful camping experience. However, the negative review regarding staff rudeness and issues with day use of the pool, including unexpected closure and perceived high fees, should be taken into consideration. Potential visitors, especially those interested in day swimming or valuing consistent customer service, are strongly advised to contact the campground directly to clarify their policies and ensure it aligns with their expectations. While the campground has positive aspects, the reported issues with staff and pool management indicate a need for caution and further inquiry before making a reservation or visiting for day use.

Cedar Valley Campground Reviews
Staff is very rude. Came for a day of swimming. Called prior with no answer. The front desk was not open when we got there so we just went in. After about an hour someone came out to scold us. Im guessing the owner. We said we would pay whatever to swim, but the office wasn't open. His reply was "well it is open now so come on in and pay the fee." Meanwhile, he shut down the running water in the kids area and locked the gate while we went in to pay. They charged $10 a person. That's more than any of the aquatic centers in Green Bay, which has water slides and many more amenities. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Oh and the owner then came out 10 minutes later to tell us he was closing the pool in 20 minutes because he has "prior commitments." I wish I could put less than a 1 star.
Aug 11, 2024 · Sara McMahonBeautiful, large sites. Well-maintained property and clean restrooms. Fun pool and splash pad/wading pool. The pub is a great place to get food and drinks after setting up your site! This campground strictly observes quiet hours, is family-friendly, and doesn't often have a "party" atmosphere, which we love.
May 31, 2023 · Heather Vande WalleIf you have never experienced camping at Cedar Valley campground, you need to give it a try! The moment you arrive at the campground, you will be greeted by an awesome staff with an owner that will make sure you have a wonderful time during your stay. From having a fantastic pub on the grounds to endless activities, there is no shortage of fun to be had. Our kids certainly enjoyed the mini golf, the pool, the use of the volleyball and basketball courts and the arcade games! If you want peace and quiet, the river along the campground is the place to go. I personally loved being there for the tractor pull!!! Great times were had! Thank you Bill and Eileen for making our family feel so welcomed! Your family are very special people to us!!!
Feb 27, 2017 · Matt & Erin SumnerCedar Valley Campground is awesome. The owner Bill and his wife are the nicest people we have meet on our RV camping. We do the permanent site as it works great for me and my wife, as we live an hour away, but still feel like we are going on a vacation. Bill and his wife work their butts off for their guests. Our site is awesome, with the only Black Walnut tree in the park. There is a bar with food, and the food is outstanding, in my opinion. I had their perch plate last night, and as always, it was excellent. We typically get a pizza on Saturday nights, as it is made from scratch with a lot of Wisconsin Cheese. Me and the boss highly recommend Cedar Valley Campground in Kewaunee, Wisconsin.
Jun 25, 2022 · Matt SafranskiAs always, such a great place and FUN. Took the grandkids swimming and to play on equipment. Everything is so clean and well maintained. Bill and Ilene was always fun and awesome. So very friendly and helpful. The always go out of their way to say high and catch up. If you are looking for a weekend stay or considering a permanent site, look no farther. You are treated like family. Rules are posted and enforced! There are weekly activities, a store and bar/food on site!
