Spacious and Well-Equipped Sites: One of the frequently praised aspects of Cenla Campgrounds is the size of its lots. Multiple reviewers highlight the "great sized lots" and "large spacious campground," indicating that campers can expect ample room and avoid feeling crowded. This extra space extends to parking, offering convenience for those traveling with additional vehicles. Furthermore, the sites are noted to be "nice & level," which simplifies the setup process for both RVs and tents. The inclusion of a cement patio area, complete with a picnic table and a fire pit at most lots, adds to the comfort and functionality of each campsite. For RV enthusiasts, the availability of "most lots" being full hookup is a significant advantage, providing water, electricity, and sewer connections.
Family-Friendly Amenities: For families camping with children, the presence of a pool is highlighted as an "added plus." This amenity offers a recreational option for cooling off and enjoying some fun during your stay. The positive feedback regarding the cleanliness and upkeep of the bathrooms and showers ("clean & well kept") suggests that Cenla Campgrounds prioritizes the hygiene and comfort of its guests.
Convenient Location and Helpful Staff: The campground's location offers additional conveniences. Its proximity to a gas station can be beneficial for refueling vehicles or stocking up on last-minute supplies. Moreover, the campground is situated near a bike trail, providing opportunities for outdoor recreation and exploration of the surrounding area. Several reviewers mentioned the helpfulness of the staff, noting their willingness to assist with questions and even going the extra mile to accommodate requests, such as offering a spot closer to friends when one became available.
Important Considerations Regarding Management: While many aspects of Cenla Campgrounds receive positive feedback, it's crucial to consider all available information. One review presents a contrasting perspective regarding the campground's management style. This reviewer describes an experience involving a "very harsh and rude" phone message and states that they will not return due to their interaction with the management. They advise caution, stating, "don't upset the management! Step out of line and they'll be on you." This feedback suggests a potentially strict or less forgiving management approach that some visitors might find concerning.

The proximity to local amenities like a gas station and a bike trail further enhances its appeal.

Cenla Campgrounds Reviews
This was our first time in the area. The campground was recommended by friends. We loved staying and had NO issues. It is a very nice campground compared to others we have visited in the state. It has great sized lots, so you don’t feel crowded. There is extra room for parking if needed. The space was nice & level so it made for an easy set up. There is a cement patio area with your picnic table and a fire pit. Most lots are full hook up. Pool was an added plus for swimming with kids. Bathrooms/showers were clean & well kept. Staff was helpful with any questions we had. There is a gas station near by as well as the bike trail. Staff also offered us another spot near our friends when it became available. We plan to stay there again and definitely recommend to others!!
Jun 26, 2024 · Belinda SandersLarge spacious campground.Bathrooms are well maintained. But don't upset the management! Step out of line and they'll be on you.I wish that I could attach the phone message we received. It was very harsh and rude.We will not return to this campground.
Sep 11, 2024 · Daryl LenzWorst campground we have been to in the past 5 years of owning a camper. The point of camping is for a moment to break away from the norms of society and all the rules and regulations we live by and get out in nature and relax....you will not find that here as management is extremely rude and on a huge power trip and will micro manage your entire stay if you don't abide by their over zealous set of rules. They might as well state that it's a semi retirement home for 50 yrs and older only to deter families, NOT family friendly park that includes dogs, management yelled at my kids for riding electric scooters, no kids at the playground as soon as the sun sets, lady is literally standing on the office balcony strictly enforcing that every night, was also screamed at and threatened to be kicked out for dogs playing with neighbors dogs. Worst was upon our departure I decided to talk to the manager to see what the problem seemed to be and she just talked over me the whole time and yelled and argued back. also right behind a gas station off busy road so very noisey. Would not recommend ! unless your one of them weird old campers that goes to a campground to just sit in your camper and watch TV all weekend.
Jun 13, 2024 · Ryan PaceVery nice campground. Nice size lots, so you don’t feel crowded when using the picnic table. Gravel parking spaces that were nice & level. Cement patio area with picnic table. Lots of trees so patio areas were shaded at least part of each day. Very clean & well kept, and staff was always ready to help or answer questions. We plan to stay there again.
