You can reach them at (360) 257-2649 or +1 360-257-2649 for inquiries. Based on customer reviews, this RV park boasts a beautiful environment and a range of appealing features, although it's important to note that access requires a military ID.
One reviewer enthusiastically described Cliffside RV Park as "beautiful," highlighting several key aspects that contribute to its charm. A significant draw is the wonderful sandy beach, which is noted as being rare for the Pacific Northwest. This provides a unique opportunity for visitors to enjoy a beach experience, typically associated with other coastal regions. Additionally, the park features a great paved walking/running trail, perfect for leisurely strolls or more energetic exercise while enjoying the surroundings.
Adding to the natural allure of the location are the "obligatory Bald Eagles," suggesting that wildlife sightings are a common and enjoyable part of the experience. The grounds are described as immaculate, adorned with native flowers and plants, indicating a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing environment that respects the local flora. Each site is equipped with nice, clean pads, modern hook-ups, and waste connections, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for RVers.
Furthermore, Cliffside RV Park offers a valuable amenity: a free laundry room, which is particularly beneficial for longer stays. The staff is also commended for being friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the park. The reviewer concluded by stating they could go on with more praises, indicating a highly favorable overall impression.
Another reviewer provided a more nuanced perspective, acknowledging the pleasantness of the campground while mentioning the presence of jet noise. This suggests that the park is located in proximity to military aviation activities, which might be a factor for some visitors. However, this reviewer noted that during a holiday weekend, the area was surprisingly quiet of the expected jet noise, which returned after the holiday period. Despite this, the overall experience was still considered pleasant.
The layout of the campground is described as great, with sites that are easy to back into, with the only potential obstacles being the pedestal and the provided bench tabletop. The views from the park are excellent, and the beach is very close by, accessible via an easy walk down the "cliff." The bathroom facilities are reported to be very clean. Interestingly, the reviewer mentioned that the provided brownies and soap reminded them of bootcamp, perhaps alluding to the military affiliation of the park.
In terms of natural beauty, while the sunrise is not in an ideal direction from the main vantage points, the reviewer offered a tip for catching potential sunrises by timing a walk starting at the south side, which might offer a view depending on the clouds and lighting. Walking to the north end might reveal another sunrise over the land towards Baker/Oak Harbor, and a third sunrise over the Cascades might be visible on the return to the entrance.
The reviewer also mentioned the existence of base amenities, which is expected given the military requirement for access. They cautioned that maps might be unreliable regarding gate closures and that a seemingly accessible exit gate might not always be open, advising visitors to ascertain gate information. This is a practical tip for those unfamiliar with military base access points.
Considering the category 'camping near me', Cliffside RV Park offers a unique blend of natural beauty, well-maintained facilities, and a specific requirement for access (military ID). The beautiful sandy beach, the walking trail, the potential for wildlife viewing (Bald Eagles), and the clean and modern amenities make it an attractive destination for eligible individuals. While the jet noise might be a consideration for some, many seem to find the overall experience highly enjoyable.
In summary, Cliffside RV Park in Oak Harbor, WA, is a beautiful RV park offering a rare sandy beach for the Pacific Northwest, a paved walking/running trail, clean and modern RV sites, free laundry, and friendly staff. Visitors can enjoy excellent views and the possibility of seeing local wildlife. Access to this pleasant campground requires a military ID. While some may notice jet noise due to its proximity to military operations, the overall feedback is overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the great layout and clean facilities. If you have the required military ID and are looking for 'camping near me' in a scenic location with excellent amenities, Cliffside RV Park is definitely worth considering for your next getaway.

Cliffside RV Park Reviews
This is a beautiful RV park. Wonderful sandy beach (rare for the Pacific Northwest), great paved walking/running trail. Obligatory Bald Eagles (as if on cue), immaculate ground with native flowers and plants, nice clean pads at each site with modern hook ups and waste connections, free laundry room, friendly and helpful staff...I could go on but you get the point. Must have military ID to enjoy.
Nov 15, 2024 · B LimricVery pleasant campground provided you don't mind jet noise. Granted we came in on a holiday weekend and as a semi-local it was dead quiet of the expected flying jet craft noise one expects, but following what must have been a holiday stand-down weekend they came back with a vengeance after the holiday. It was pleasant though. Great camp layout, easy to back into sites with the only obstacles being the pedestal and provided bench table top. Views were excellent, beach very close by and an easy walk down the "cliff". The baths rooms were very clean, the brownies and soap reminded me of bootcamp! Sunrise is unfortunately in the wrong direction, but if you time your walk right, starting at the south side you can get a good view depending on the clouds and lighting, walk to the north end and you might catch another sunrise around baker/oak harborish land side and on your way back to the entrance you may catch a third sunrise over the cascades. Base amenities exist, and be sure to know or find out which gates close when. Maps are unreliable and the gate you think you can exit from isn't always open.
Oct 15, 2024 · Randall KingThis place is wonderful. It was quite family and dog friendly. There are tons of activities from beachcombing to lawn games. Each space has its own fire pit. Tent spots do not have water or power hookups, but there is a solar panel on a sign that you can use to charge things. There are wifi and bathrooms with showers and laundry room. The views are fantastic. The camp host is so nice and has a lovely flower garden. There are flowers everywhere.
Oct 14, 2024 · Catie JudayThere is camping in Yurts, cabins, or your own camper, RV. The place is exceptionaly clean and well kept. You do have to have served since it is on a military base. It is right on the Puget Sound with great water views.
Apr 14, 2025 · Tom BowersoxI love this park! The location is beautiful. Right next to the beach. The sunrise and sunsets are amazing. I’m a sucker for fresh flowers and the park is full of them. They even let you get a few stems a day for free! The WiFi isn’t the best so be prepared. Other than that, this park is top tier.
