One reviewer, who chose Coleman's Campground for their first trip with a new trailer due to its proximity, found it to be a "great place." Another reviewer, who stayed for a couple of months while working in the area, also spoke positively of the overall atmosphere. While the reviews don't focus on scenic vistas or wilderness immersion, they suggest a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the surrounding area or simply enjoying a peaceful camping experience. The fact that the owners have "added a bunch of little touches all around" indicates an effort to create a welcoming and cared-for environment for their guests.

The presence of a restroom facility with showers is a significant convenience for both tent and RV campers, providing a way to stay clean and refreshed. Laundry facilities are also available on-site, which is particularly beneficial for longer stays or those who prefer not to rely solely on RV amenities. The mention of a "specific spot for dogs" indicates that Coleman's Campground is likely pet-friendly, catering to campers who travel with their canine companions. However, one reviewer noted that other campers sometimes walked through their tent area despite this designated dog spot, which might be a minor consideration for some guests. The campground also seems to accommodate different types of camping setups, as it was suitable for both a first-time trailer user and someone staying in a tent for an extended period.
A key feature consistently highlighted in the reviews is the exceptional hospitality of the owners. One reviewer specifically thanked them for making their first trip with a new trailer a "wonderful adventure," emphasizing their helpfulness. The long-term guest also praised the "great owners" who have clearly invested in the campground's upkeep and guest experience. This personal touch and the evident care taken in managing the campground are significant advantages for Coleman's Campground. The fact that the owners have added "a bunch of little touches all around" suggests attention to detail and a commitment to guest comfort that goes beyond basic amenities.
One practical piece of information for those planning to stay at Coleman's Campground, particularly those working nights or preferring daytime quiet, is that mowing may occur during the day. This was mentioned as something to be aware of, although the reviewer still highly recommended the place overall. This suggests that while the owners maintain the grounds well, there might be some daytime noise associated with this maintenance.

Coleman's Campground Reviews
It was a great place for me. Choose this as my first trip with a new trailer only because it was nearby. The owners couldn’t have beenmore helpful. Thanks again, you made it a wonderful adventure
Apr 20, 2025 · Mary Kay MatthewsStayed here for a outage I was working a couple months ago. Great owners who really have added a bunch of little touches all around. You can tell this place is handled well. Restroom with showers and laundry on site. A specific spot for dogs even tho people seemed to walk over toward my tent area a lot. If working nights and staying just be advised they do mow during the day sometimes. All in all really great place and really great people. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to camp in a tent, rv or what have you. ~ Baltimore.
Dec 05, 2024 · The Crypto Tengunice people, very very clean. smaller place, no hassles, if you are looking for a one to two night stay in the area, it would be worth a look
Apr 27, 2025 · Bruce O'BrienThis was a great little campground. The office/ amenities building was new. The shower/washroom facilities were each individual. Every shower was its own locked, spacious room and very clean. The site’s were gravel/grass combos. Some treed some not. There was a covered picnic/bbq area and a playground.I highly recommend a stay at Coleman’s Campground close to Lake Ontario
May 12, 2024 · Connie SchmulandThe BEST campground experience I’ve enjoyed in years! Super clean individual washrooms with showers! We used the washer and dryers while camping and was inexpensive, clean and just next to the washroom. Quiet, large camp sites and plenty of picnic tables with big fire pits. Dog park, camp store, extra helpful friendly staff.
